Only stayed one night and was met by the friendly owner and shown to our pitch, attentive and helpful. We didn`t use the showers or dish washing facilities so can`t comment but the loo`s were clean and tidy.
Easy walk into Lacock NT village, good meal had at the Carpenters Arms, not cheap but good food and nice people.
Dog walk field available on site and a children`s play area and field for ball games etc. , all very neat and tidy.
Will be back for a longer visit soon.

The friendly and helpful owner greeted us and showed us to our pitch. The first thing we noticed was how clean and tidy the site was.
Excellent facilities such as kids play area, dog walk field, gas bottle sales (what a relief!), chem disposal etc.
Really well placed for Castle Combe race circuit (20 mins away), Sainsbury and McDonalds 10 mins away.
Payment for camping is cash only so be prepared!
Only niggles were showers in one block were scorching and in the other block were very difficult to maintain temperature at all. Also pitches were slightly on the small side
To sum up, very happy and would return, but please sort shower temperature!
Thanks again for bailing me out with the gas bottle

Piccadilly Caravan and Camping Park
This site is easily accessed off the A350 near to the village of Lacock.
The site is very well kept. There is a mix of hard standing and grass pitches, the grass is well mown.
The top field has the older facilities – plenty of hot water - 2 showers for men and 2 for ladies. There is a washing up room with 3 sinks. The water wasn't very hot here.
The facilities in the lower field – mainly for tents – are newer, but the showers are push button here and not as efficient. Again 2 showers for men and 2 for ladies.
There is a laundry at the back with washing machine and a sink for hand washing plus a spinner.
The site is a 10 minute walk from the centre of Lacock where there is the National Trust Lacock Abbey and Fox Talbot museum.
The site is 10 minutes drive south to Melksham where there are all the usual supermarkets.
We paid £20 per night for caravan, 2 people with electricity.
There is free Wi Fi at reception.
A lovely site which we would be happy to visit again.

This is a lovely quiet site which is superbly maintained. Great when you want to really get away from it all. We always use our on board facilities so not possible to rate the site ones. I always give 10 for this because it is unfair to mark a site down over something we know nothing about. Warden was friendly and helpful. Some reviews say that he is very particular about how you park up/pitch, however we don't blame him for insisting on this when he takes such pride in the appearance of his site. Proximity to Lacock is great - however quite expensive in the pubs, but a lovely quiet walk (once over the main road) to get there. Great dog exercise field, always a plus with us.

Just spent two nights at this site on the way back from Cornwall. Lovely site, would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone. The grounds are kept very neat and tidy. The toilets and showers very clean and water hot. Dog field nice and large and my dogs enjoyed having a run in this. As we have family in Chippenham would return if visiting again.

Spent a week at this site in a touring caravan. Paid deposit prior to arriving and was asked to pay remainder by cash or cheque when checking in.
Was shown to pitch by owner who waited with us until we had parked the van up, was told to park van as near to grass area as possible. Van was on hard standing with grass area for awning.
Pitch seemed small which didn't help due to neighbours either side, one side had visitors who had parked their car on the grass area on their pitch, on the other side of us the people in that van had put up wind breaks to cover their water barrels but must have been at least 3ft onto our awning space!1st impressions weren't good, we felt hemmed in.
We decided to wait until following day to see if the site would grow on us, see my review on the Old Oaks, Glastonbury, any site after that is a downer. Anyway hubby decided to put awning up a day later, our neighbours said if we needed them to move the windbreak just ask! by the time we got the awning up we had around 1ft spare between awning and their wind break. She even said herself the pitches are small.
The couple on other side, their visitors left same day, so at least we did not have the extra car to the other side of van.
Both sets of neighbours were friendly saying hello when you saw them.
As I said before, we felt the pitches were on the small side, you had your van on hard standing, your car went in front of van (just)& awnings on grass area.
There were 2 toilet blocks, one more modern than the other, I used the newer one which had 2 showers in, toilets & sinks, no washing up facilities is this one. At no time did I have to wait for a shower and they were hot, push button, you could not change heat setting but I felt the heat setting was just right. 20p for hair dryer (didn't need it) There is a small children's play area but no children on site while we were there.
The site is half a mile from road but no road noise, lovely and quiet. Also nr NT Lacock Village, other side of road.
We used the local bus's to get to Chippenham which was a hub for other bus's to places like Bath, Devizes etc. You can use your old age bus passes at any time of the day in Wiltshire which was great when we wanted an early start.
Would we stay again, yes I would but if you asked hubby he would say no. He said there was just something about the site which he could not put his finger on that he did not like, he likes a site to look tidy, he felt the grass needed cutting, at no time did we see the grass being cut, although some hedges were being trimmed later in the week, but this is his personal feelings.
The site was great for visiting the local area and could get to a lot of places on local transport.
We had a lovely day in Devizes, went on bus from Chippenham, market day was Thursday, then walked from town to canal, then along to Caen Hill locks, about a mile & a half along canal path, lovely setting.
We also went to Avebury by car, but I think the Swindon bus passes there, you would need to check on return times. Wish we had gone earlier as there was lots to see and do, ran out of time, well worth the visit.
We also went to Bath on the bus, visited Lacock Abbey and Bradford on Avon.
The showers were spotless, but the site loses some points due to pitch sizes.

Our second visit this year after our first visit in May! A very quite site and again not over crowded. Plenty of space to put the awnings up and to sit outside to enjoyed the sun. The water as hot as ever and the sit nice & clean. Did not have to wait to use any of the facilities. Will use again as in our opinion this site is just right. Will not suit those who want night life / social bar etc but that's why we enjoy it so much. Well done Piccadilly Caravan park

Top location. Only stayed for one night. I'd have liked longer, but the site was apparently fully booked. The Site was ideally located for some fine walks, was level, and had good bathroom facilities. I thought the site represented good value, and would undoubtedly be well located for trips out to surrounding countryside. Lacock, just up the road, is a bit picture box, but the shop sells an astonishing variety of real ales, so a good night was had by all!

Stayed on this site for 6 days. Wow what a little gem, even our friends who always find something to moan about loved it. Very quite and even over the bank holiday site did not feel full. The hot water is hot and plenty of it. Owner takes pride in his site and it shows. Loved it and now planning to return in near future, The local village of Lacock has its own wow factor if you like history. Quite site ideal for those of us looking for a relaxing break.

Wonderful spot with a very friendly owner. Extremely well kept grassy pitch, well defined and generous in size. Toilets, showers and washing up areas all clean and brightly lit. The site was full over the weekend we were there, but we never had to wait for the loo. The dog walking area was wonderful - large open fields where our excitable boxer couldn't get into any trouble. 5 minute walk into pretty Lacock and good pub.
