First visit to this lovely site. Stayed three nights in our motorhome for purpose of being close to Lacock. It literally is just a ten minute walk into the village. Perfect location.
Was a bit concerned at previous reviews about the busy road you need to cross to get to Lacock. However, it's not as bad as it sounds, just be patient, it's not a dual carriageway, it's an 'A' road. We crossed safely with our small dog several times.
The site has well tended grounds. Nice views and has two toilet/shower blocks. One being newer than the other, we happily used both. Washing up facilities in the old block. All other usual facilities available. Plus they have a small enclosure as a children's play area.
Very friendly and helpful owner who will happily give advice and recommendations of local places to eat etc. We ate at two of his recommendations, The George and The Red Lion, both excellent food, would highly recommend. They have very friendly staff and are dog friendly.
Local buses run to other nearby towns/villages. We went to Chippenham, but much preferred Lacock
We would have no hesitation in staying at this site again and have already discussed a future visit.

While touring, I stayed here for one night. What a lovely site, very neat. The site was quiet. Facilities were clean and warm.
The village of Lacock is a short walk away and it has some lovely old buildings. There is also pubs and restaurants as well as shops.
The site has a dog walk area although you can only walk around the outside as the middle section is not cut. My dog is only small and likes to play with a ball. She struggled to find it in the overgrown section. I would definitely stay here again.

This site is ideally situated for walking to the National Trust Village of Laycock it takes about 12 minutes to get there.
Upon arrival we asked for a quite spot and was informed that everywhere was quite and would we please follow him to our designated pitch which was on hard standing right in the middle of another dozen or so campers even though there were large areas of dry flat largely unoccupied grassland pitches which we wear not offered.
I was told to back in to a certain exact position whilst being given pin point supervision it was as if I was going to remain static in my Motorhome for my entire stay.
The pitches were only just large enough and we felt quite crammed in and overlooked.
Normally you are given a choice of pitches unless a site is especially busy which this one certainly was not.
On the whole the site was OK but I certainly don't think it was anything exceptional.

A mixed sort of site really, owner friendly but very fussy about pitching exactly ' right ' and we saw why the pitches are rather narrow ( caravan/awning and about two feet of space to the next 'van ) which means you can hear everything from next door even when they are inside, which pitch you have is decided by the owner.
Toilets/showers are nice and very clean but could really do with updating, works out at about one toilet and shower per eight units !. You are charged extra for electric and although it is advertised as having wi-fi it is only available if you want to sit in Reception. Good play area and an area for ball games, dog walk is round the edge of a field and dogs have to be kept on a lead at all times.
Lacock is within walking distance but you do have to cross a very busy road, road noise is noticeable 24/7 but we didn't find it intrusive. Site has many trees and shrubs and is in the countryside although very few pitches enjoy a view.
The site would be greatly improved if the pitches were better spaced and wi-fi was as advertised ( not a lie that it is available but a bit misleading ), I also feel that if you are charging Caravan Club prices then it should be up to that standard.
Would I stay here again ? yes but not at the height of the season.

This little site really does look as good as the photos. Very pretty, small & not crowded even in August & great weather. Level pitches are well spaced (room for awning so long as you park in front of van) & plenty of open green space.
Site is separated into smaller areas by hedging so it's not just a big field! There is also some hardstanding. Facilities are fairly basic &, to be honest, I have seen cleaner but I guess that's inevitable when site is full as not everyone cleans up properly after themselves.
They were cleaned daily & bin area was kept very clean & tidy. Easy walking distance to local village which is beautiful & has great pubs/restaurant. Only about 13 miles from Bath too. We would definitely visit again.

Fantastic site that has great facilities, beautifully kept gardens, spacious pitches and spotlessly clean toilets and showers regardless of whether it's a busy time or not. Play area for children which is lovely. Dog friendly with exercise area.
The owner is friendly and helpful and can give lots of ideas for dog walks and a good day out. Very relaxing atmosphere.
Lacock is beautiful and it's handy for Bath.

This is one of the best. The very helpful owner clearly keeps his eye on everything.
The toilet block is always clean, the office is full of information, and everything is arranged for an excellent holiday. We cannot comment on facilities for children, but the youngsters we saw seemed to be enjoying themselves.
We stayed for three very quiet nights, and found plenty to do in the area. The village of Lacock is fascinating, frozen in time.
Devizes is well worth a visit, especially the amazing flight of canal locks at Caen Hill, and Bath is not far away.

We visited this lovely site after picking up our new caravan.
It was such a delight, the owner is very friendly and ever so entertaining. The check in area is filled with information on local points of interest.
We were advised on the best local pubs to visit and it was great advice they were great. The site itself is so well kept a real gem of a site.
The toilets and showers were possibly the cleanest I have ever seen.
We will definitely visit again very soon.

Spent three nights here in early April. Lovely site, not too big, some hardstandings. It's all really well kept, immaculate facilities, attentive and friendly owner. There's a play area for the kids and a dog walking area. The site is only 10 minutes walk away from the village - pubs, Lacock Abbey, buses to Chippenham and Trowbridge. The only downside is the busy road that has to be crossed in order to get to the village. There is also a degree of noise from this but it isn't really a huge spoiler.

What a beautiful gem of a site, immaculate, stayed 4 nights, needs a bigger sign at site entrance though,
A picture perfect site, thick green grass, some privacy hedges, the trees although beautiful did shade a little too much, the spot we pitched were meant for two which if used, could have been a little too tight.
Toilets (2 blocks) only used one which was so spotless, and the ladies at the front of the building not hidden around the back, (good for night use). Showers hot, but hubby said went to just warm when someone use the other at the same time. Good indoor washing dishes facilities.
There was a laundry (iron on request) information point, freezer in reception and child play park. Can't comment on these as we didn't use them.
A good dog exercise field which we did use.
10 mins walk to Lacock with two dog friendly lovely pubs, you will need a torch to walk back if it goes dark especially up the lanes and crossing the busy road.
Exceptional value for money in high season, still reasonable value in low season as we didn't pay extra for awning or pooch.
Visited most of the villages advertised on his web page and Stonehenge. (Had to walk with pooch about a mile or so each way but free not £15 each and considering you can't walk within the stones not much difference).
