We turned up without a booking and the lovely helpful lady owner sorted us out by phone with no fuss.
So wanted to love this site as much as previous reviewers but a couple of niggles prevented us.
As previously reviewed facilities are old but always clean - showers hot but very little water pressure near reception, the ones nearer the play area better.
Washing up area undercover with plenty of hot water.
There are hardstanding and grass pitches - grass very firm and would say bigger than hardstanding. All have electric hook ups.
Easy 5-10 minute walk into Lacock - crossing the main road which is quite fast moving. We drove to Westbury White Horse and Caen Locks - both really worth visiting.
For us the downside was several old piles of dog poo around our the flowered area next to our pitch. We did mention to the warden who said he knew nothing about it and didn't seem to be wanting to deal with it. As it was still there 24 hours later we cleared it up ourselves - really disappointing.
Above said we would stay again if in the area - it has the making of a great site

Booking confirmation with location with pitch instructions very easy to follow.
Good facilities with showers, loos, laundry and chemical waste disposal.
All this nearby to Lacock village the home of Fox Talbot and photography.
The village has also appeared in many TV adaptations and feature films.
Great pubs and eateries.
Will stay again in the future.

A pleasant pretty site a short walk from Lacock village.
Clean but dated facilities due to be refurbished for 2025 season.
Elderly gentleman retired, site now run by his son and daughter-in-law.

Wow what a lovely campsite,
On the doorstep to some lovely villages and towns to visit. And of course the lovely village of Lacock.
Will definitely be returning when we are in that area again.

An immaculate site with very helpful owners.
Very quiet at all times.
The facilities were spotless.
It seems a bit more than half a mile to the village and involves crossing a very busy main road but still very convenient for Lacock and it's Abbey and eating places.

We visited this site for 9 nights while holidaying from Ireland. This is a beautiful site and really well kept.
The owner (Peter) was always walking about and communicating with those on site.
There is a nice playground for kids and a large field to play games along with a dog walking area.
The showers in the gents could do with an update
The beautiful heritage village of Lacock is on it's doorstep and well worth a visit and the town of Chippenham is only 10 minutes away and has lots of shops.
We were very pleased with this site and would definitely return again if we are in the area

I was allowed to book in a couple of hours early.
For the first few nights I was a single camper then the family joined later.
I was only charged for the amount of people that stayed each night.
Peter, the owner, came around on a regular basis to ensure all was good.
Toilets, showers, laundry, washing up, play area, all excellent. Possibly one of the best parks I have stayed in.
The picturesque village of Lacock is a 5 minute walk away.
Supermarkets and shops are a very short drive away.
Dogs welcome.
