This small campsite is a little gem to stay at, the owners really do make you welcome, nothing is too much trouble, it seems to make your stay a very pleasant experience. The site is also very near to the broads and potter heigham is only a short and pleasant walk away. The facilities on the site are very good and as a previous reviewer said very clean and tidy. I will definitely visit again, highly recommended.

We have just returned from from two very relaxing weeks at this friendly and easygoing campsite,
The location we felt was perfect, only a short stroll to the riverside at potter heigham, where you can chill out watching the boats coming and going and trying to squeeze under the very low bridge,
Long enjoyable walks are to be enjoyed along the riverbanks and virtually anything can be bought at Lathams huge store next to the river,
Most of the broads and tourist locations are easily reached from this pretty part of Norfolk,
The campsite itself is not huge and impersonal, like some, but compact and friendly with plenty of room between campers and for motorhomers, it is level!
The facilities are clean and kept tidy and the grass pitches well mown,
The owners are to be seen around the site daily attending to things and are very friendly, welcoming and informative on things to see and do, in fact Jim and Bron, seem to have become old friends in just two weeks!
A word of warning though, time seems to drift by in Norfolk at a leisurely pace and before you know it it's time to go home. We are both impatient to return to this little gem of a campsite.

What a lovely little site spent a week here and really enjoyed it,
Facility's are basic but spotless and people who run it are really nice helpful folks,
We definitely will return next year.
The area is second to none with a short walk to potter heigham where boat hire is available
Also Lathams the local store is well worth a visit.

We had a lovely four days at this campsite. The toilets and showers were kept spotlessly clean at all of the time. There are two sinks at side of the showers for washing up.
As site is at the side of the main yarmouth to cromer road so there is road traffic noise but not enough to cause a problem.
It is a nice five minute walk into potter heigham where the shops and two pubs are. Also you can hire day boats to travel on broads, which we did and enjoyed

We stayed for two nights the site is run by a very nice couple and the facilities are clean and tidy and each plot has plenty of room
You do need to request awning plot if you want to put one up
The site is a eight minute walk to potter heigham bridge / shops ( lathams ) and boat hire and also easy access to river for the fishing
Yes it can be noisy due to the main road road that runs along side but we found even only being there a short time that you get use to it and did not really notice it, apart from the rush hour time
We will be returning there again in the near future

I agree with all the other comments about this site.
The site is very basic - Toilets and showers are clean, but not state-of-the-art. There are no washing up facilities.
The only negative comment I have is that is it extremely noisy. We were on the road side of the camp site and the noise from the road was unbearable. It's really deceiving as you think that the road is just a quiet village road. It's not, the name gives it away really - MAIN ROAD! I suggest you ask for a pitch away from the road.

This is a nice site. You are in easy reach of the village and the toilets and showers are very nice and clean.
The lady that owns the site is also very friendly and helpful. This was the first even camping trip we had been on as we are very new to camping. We are very local to this site so we thought we would give it a try. We only stayed there one night, but we found it very relaxing.
We would recommend that you go and stay there especially if you like walking along the river.

This site is one of the best small sites in the area. Me and my wife have been going to this site since 1976 when there was just a small shed split down the middle for men and women, with cold water only and the charge was 50p per night all in. Over the years it has been brought up to date and has now adequate showers and toilets. The owners are friendly and the site is flat and well surrounded with trees, which blocks wind. There is some road noise but not too bad and there are hook up points. It has not got areas for children and teenagers would properly get a bit board on site. It is great for using as a base to tour the broads and surrounding areas such as great Yarmouth, Hempsy etc. All in all we have had some excellent tent and caravan holidays at this site and would recommend it to anyone wanting a more quiet site. Good camping

July 2004 A great little site and not busy for this time of the year. Lovely clean toilets etc. without the fuss of a key! Just a 2 minute walk to the river. Very friendly people with not to many rules and reg's. We will be going back.
