Just got back from a 3 night weekend stay. In a tent with EHU. Due to demand we were offered caravan pitch, ie. Pitched on the grass, parked car on hard standing. This was no problem as there where more tents than tourers on these pitches so didn't feel 'odd one out'. There is a £10 returnable deposit for the electric entrance gate (not automatic 8pm - 8am).
Despite the site being busy it was all quiet by about 10pm.
More than adequate (and better than some) showers/toilets and washing up area. Showers have free hot water. The wash up area is covered. However, there are only two sinks and as it was busy we did need to queue.
Site is laid out well with Statics at the entrance, then 'permanent' tourers, with tourers and tents in the adjoining field. This field has large grass area in the middle with pitches with EHU (tents and tourers) going round the outer. This section of field was once sloping but outer pitches are now on purpose built terraces (so all flat!) This area also has its own play area for kids.
There is no shop as such on site but you can buy a few essentials (milk etc) from reception. There is a Co-op in the village.
Overall, this is a lovely site in an equally lovely part of Yorkshire and we will definitely return to both.

We have visited this site twice in 8 weeks, the first time we had turned up at the wrong campsite (never letting hubby take charge again) and should have been 20 miles away in Clitheroe. The warden lady Sue was extremely helpful and accommodating in helping us find which site we should be on but as it was after office hours and quite late we stayed at Langcliffe. All we can say is what a lovely site. The toilet block was clean, we used our caravan shower so cannot comment on these. The site was so peaceful and in beautiful surroundings. A few weeks later we went with some friends and children, and had a lovely time then too the kids enjoyed playing on the play park. We will be going again next time we go away and would recommend this site to people thinking of camping in this area.

Spent a weekend here - 5 families in tents. The area we were given to pitch in was quite small, but we wanted to be next to each other, so we all fit in. It was easy to find and in a lovely location. Toilet and shower blocks were very clean and enough of them. Washing up facilities good too. We were non electric but had we booked an electric pitch I'm not sure if our Vango diablo 900 would fit on one. I would check pitch size if you have a large tent. Lovely new kids play area and you will get visits from ducks and rabbits which the kids loved! There is a steam/freight train which runs until late into the night but it doesn't bother you too much. Its just missing a local pub or bar area on site. No shop either but a local co-op in Settle - 1 mile away. Would definitely return again for a weekend - hopefully in nicer weather as we got washed out - but camping area was quite well drained. Lovely little site - worth a visit.

We have just returned from a 3 night midweek stay on this site. We found the toilet / shower block adequate however they were cleaned only once a day and clearly needed to be cleaned more frequently. There was a problem with Train noise as they ran from early morning till very late at night and some of these trains were Freight Trains so were much noisier! The receptionists weren't too friendly and when we asked to stay a further night they simply said no and didnt try to accommodate us. On a positive note it is only a short walk into the village and is a great central location to go off and visit other areas.

Site extended and ‘touring area’ in new location. New area was still being developed during stay and felt like a building site. Mixture of static, seasonal and tourers. The touring site being the poor relation on this site. Toilet / showers facilities totally inadequate in size for the number of units on this site.
Plus side, very good location for touring, walking and only one easy mile into the centre of
Settle. Overall however would not recommend this site. 2/5 rating.

Just come back from our first visit to this site. We were on the small dedicated non electric tent field (meadow) which was flat and despite the downpour on Saturday, well drained. We had read about the shower block but found no problems with either queues or cleanliness on what was quite a busy weekend. The walk into Settle was flat and easy and a few good pubs and restaurants. We went to the tourist info centre and picked up at least 8 leaflets detailing different walks in the area.
On speaking to people who are regular visitors, quite a lot of work has been carried out in improving the site which all looked well thought out. All in all a good clean friendly site. We may try the electric pitches next time as the views from slightly higher up were spectacular if not a little too close to the new play area.

Stayed here before in 2006, the new tent field makes this site much better. Very friendly staff and only 15 mins walk from settle.
The only negative I would say is it could maybe do with more showers/toilets as they have added an extra field but not extended the facilities.
All in all a very good site that would recommend.

Really nice site in a great location. Settle (which has a very good curry house) and Giggleswick are both easily walkable for decent pubs. Lots of walks to do in all directions which are easy to plan with an OS map rather than the hire walk cards!
Showers were very hot, powerful and clean. No queues however we did stay Mon - Thurs when it was quiet.
Downsides were that the site seemed to be in a wind tunnel when we were there. Also there is a train line close by which seems to be used mainly for freight. Each hour one went past which was noisy. This isnt a huge problem normally but on our first night the last train went past at 0030 and then the next one was at 0530 which was a bit early to be woken up. Earplugs solved that problem however.
Overall, a top site which we will use again.

Visited over the may bank holiday.Arrived when office was closed, but a list of pitch numbers was on the window, easy enough to find.
Good site very near to settle, can recommend the 'china china' takeaway in town!
Facilities were good, push button showers, but good and hot, 3 each for both sexes. Ladies was reasonably clean, although the floor in the shower room was muddy and a lot of standing water, could do with another couple of drains.
If everyone left muddy boots and shoes outside the door, as requested by the signs, the problem would be solved. So why not provide a shoe rack??. Would recommend investing in some plastic flip flops or 'crocs' for shower room.
Hubby thought mens facilities were a bit dirty, and in need of more frequent cleaning.
Some more hooks would help to keep clothes of the wet floor. All in all a good site, just needs a tweak here and there, would visit again for a weekend only.

Stayed here May Bank Holiday weekend & had an excellent time. The site is located within walking distance to Settle, with a number of walks from the site, walking maps are available from the site office. The new touring field is superb, plenty of room between pitches & a central camping area for tents. I think that they had a number of tent pitches with EHU at the top overlooking the site. Kids play area was excellent, so my 4yo kept telling me. Shower / Toilet block very clean but I counted only 3 showers in the Gents so I can imagine that these got very busy, we just used our shower in the caravan. We had a fully serviced pitch, only pitch available at time of booking & paid £85 a bit more than I would have liked to have paid, but then, it was a bank holiday. Overall an Excellent site & would recommend to anyone.
