This was our third visit to this site and certainly won't be our last. Out of the main season the site is very peaceful (we were the only tourers this weekend!) and has great facilities. The shower block is heated and showers are free. The site is within easy walking distance of Settle and there are lots of walks from the site. A fantastic place to relax.

This is a nice little site. Once you get past the static field there is a pleasant stone-walled area for touring vans and tents; mostly with hook ups. There is only a small area for non-hook up tents but book early and you should get one.
Toilets and showers are brand new and superb. Views from site are lovely and the new owners deserve to do well. Free ice block service much appreciated, by the way.
It is very near Settle which is fab for shops and it is less busy than the Knights Stainforth one up the road which gets booked up due to having a river where youngsters gather for jumping in...may or may not be a plus!

Camped for 3 night’s midweek site varied from under half full to very few but was always quiet after 11pm. Showers are free roomy and seemed ok to me although you do have to keep pushing a button, plenty of hot water in both showers and hand basins. Plenty of walking from the site and Settle is a mile from the site but easy walking, pubs takeaways and shops pretrial station in all good site and base for visiting the area.

March 2005 Found the site very quite and within walking distance of Settle where there are plenty of places to eat. Small childrens play area but kept our 2 (7 & 11)happy for hours. Ideal for a base to go walking around the 3 peaks.
Found the shower block clean and warm, just what the Doctor ordered on a cold March morning. May be that we were the only campers on the site which made the showers powerful and hot, although having to press the button to keep the water running felt like you were pressing it every 10 sec, ended up leaning on it with by back to get a constant supply.
Places to Visit: Inglebrough caves, Malham Cove, Settle to Carlisle railway, plus many more
Overall a pleasent no fuss campsite.

1981 to present day I've been coming to this site since I was 15 years of age with my parents. The site hasn't really changed much over the years apart from more recently as the site is now under new management.
I came camping to this site with 3 other friends of mine back in 1982...we had a great laugh, teaming up with the girls of Settle on the CB walkie talkie which we brought with us. Got invited to a local party too! Oh happy days! I even managed to hit it off with the local farmers Daughter too back in 1982....Helen Clark her name was...lovely lass. What you doing these days Helen? Also Amanda who used to live in the cottages down by the weirpool? she used to work in the chip shop in the centre of Settle....what are you upto these days Mandy?
I'm now married with two kids (3 if you include my eldest lad from my first marriage) and we frequently visit Langliffe Caravan Park. We've been coming here in tents and caravans for years! My parents have had a few tourers permanently sited on this site and they've also owned a couple of statics too over the years....they're now back to a tourer sited in the touring field.
New shower blocks built in touring field, but why did they permanently close the doors on the old shower block? In my opinion the old shower block is much better than the new one! The new showers are of varying temeratures at various times of the day! There isn't enough water/pressure from the shower heads. You have to push a button on the wall to get water out of the shower which only lasts for a few seconds, then it sometimes just 'trickles' out of the shower head!!! VERY POOR SHOWERS!
Site is ideal for walks. It's a very quiet site. Looking for a good nights sleep? Then this is the site for you! NO ROWDY'S allowed!
Good pubs in Settle and also a nice swimming pool in Giggleswick/Settle too!
GOOD POINTS: small, quiet, VERY tidy, very friendly.
BAD POINTS: Inadequate (new) showers

July 2003 A lovely little site, people were very friendly and helpful, site peaceful and quiet. I booked for 1 night only and ended up staying for 5, I think that says it all.
