Visited this small but lovely site for six days. The new owners Anne, Dick, June & Trevor are friendly and helpful. Anne even helped us put up our new awning. The new showers and toilets are lovely and spotlessly clean.
The campers kitchen has a kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge freezer, dryer and even a free library. There is also free wi-fi. What more could anyone want. The weather was lovely and there is plenty to see and do.
We will recommend to all our friends and will definitely be here to celebrate New Year with friends.

I visited the park with my children and dog during the Easter break on the recommendation of a family friend and I must say I was not disappointed. The park is set in a beautiful location and the welcome given by the staff set the tone for which was a very enjoyable stay.
The pitches for the tent were spacious (just as well, my tent is XXL) and the facility's are modern and very clean. Anyone interested in hill walking, mountain biking or fishing this place is the perfect base.
The end of our stay came too soon but on the day of departure the weather finally broke and it was lashing down with rain and Anne even helped us take down our tent. You cant ask more from a touring park than that. Oh by the way cheapest place we have visited in two years of camping. Cheers all I'll be back.

This is one of the nicest sites we've been to and this trip was even better than before!
The park has new owners so we just wanted to put people's mind at rest as regards the quality and difference (if any). The good news is: it's still got the same nice vibe about the place and the new owners are just as lovely as John was (although we did miss him a little!)
Lovely location, great facilities and very helpful (new) staff - always on hand to help. The new toilet block refurbishment is a breath of fresh air with all new facilities looking lovely and clean.
The whole place has had a facelift with new paint work all around gates / doors / fences and floral arrangements that really add to the already beautiful setting and give the park a 'lift'.
Can't rate this place highly enough - walks - scenery - location (handy for Oban, Fort William and Glencoe) If you were going to base yourself somewhere and do a bit of touring - I'd pick here - every time. Lovely place, very quiet (hardly any noise from the road) and relaxing - just ideal to get away from it all.
Excellent facility (loads of extras with the campers kitchen-toaster, microwave etc)that we had actually been trying to keep quiet for a while - but we suppose it's only fair to share our good fortune with you other happy travellers!
You won't be disappointed if you visit this site. We might even see you there!

This is a very nice little site, in a great location near to some of the best walking, biking, and skiing areas. Also nearby is Castle Stalker which featured in the monty python films. The toilets are newly refurbished, and always very clean. There is also a handy kitchen area. The site is well drained as I found out due to the spring weather since I have been here. The owners are very helpful and always on hand. I have been staying here for a few weeks while working in the area and would recommend it to anyone.

We visited this campsite on our holiday in Scotland as we needed to find somewhere close to Duror. The site is very clean & well maintained by owner John Beattie a nice helpful young chap. The Toilet in both the men's & women's were kept clean including the shower cubicles. The Showers were hot and Free! A great comfort after a long days walk in the mountains and rain. The Utilities room was clean and well equipped with,Kettle,Iron & Ironing board, Microwave all Free to use the only thing you had to pay for was the Dryer and for only 50p great value for money. The washing up area was spacious and clean again with plenty of hot water. There is no play area on the campsite but there is a small play area in Duror 100 yards from the site. There is Electric Hookups if required. Its a well laid out site with level pitches. Though it rained most of the time while on holiday the camping ground was well drained. We loved every min of our holiday in Duror except for the rain & the Midges. There are is plenty to see and do around the local area. Just over a miles walk from the campsite is Cuil bay a lovely small shingle Beach on the shores of Loch Linnhe. There is a small shop in Duror but is not open on the weekend. Around a mile from the site in Duror is a Hotel with Licenced bar & Restaurant which serves all not just guests. There are shops in Glencoe village but we travelled to Fort William most days as there was a Morrisons & Lidl stores in the town. Also some good Takeaway shops. There are many Hills & Mountains in the local area worth exploring & many places to visit like Spean Bridge Comando Memorial & Invermorestion falls with free parking.
The West coast of Scotland is well worth a visit & we will be definitely going there on Holiday again. Note for plot owners of Lairds wood this campsite is an Ideal place to stay as the plots are just a mile and half away with easy access across the road from the cemetery in Duror.

Really lovely peaceful little site. We had wanted to stay nearer Oban but couldn't get in so chose this instead and really enjoyed it. When we saw how crowded Oban was we were quite glad to be a bit further away.
Facilities were immaculate though will definitely benefit from the refurbishments advertised by new owners since we were there.
The kids found it a bit quiet after having made a huge number of friends at Camusdarach the previous week but did find the road running round the site great for riding bikes. However, we found it a nice change just to have the four of us!
Reasonable amount to do - not far from Glencoe and 40mins drive from Oban and we didn't do everything we planned to do. Only thing we were disapointed with was that it is between two stretches of cycle path so couldn't do as much cycling without having to go on the road as we hoped.
Whole site is very flat and was plenty of choice of pitches though I suspect new owners are going to market it a bit more so may get busier.
Only downside is that it seemed to have its own microclimate between the hills and did get quite wet on site yet when we went a few miles down the road it was warm and sunny. However our tent didn't let us down and we survived the week unlike some of the other campers!
Would like to go back soon and see what new owners have made of it - didn't seem to be getting the publicity it deserved before.

I agree with all previous reviews, We have and will continue to visit whenever we are able, this pleasant quiet site! We were introduced to Achindarroch, on a recommendation from a friend who visits annually. The toilets, showers and kitchen areas, are clean & well kept with the grass mown regularly! The hard standings and electric hook - ups are a bonus on this small site. All the facilities have been planned for the campers comfort. The laundry room has a washing machine and spin dryer, with a deep sink for hand washing and washing up, the microwave ironing board and iron being the little extras that 'make all the difference' I can not recommend this site too highly. Even the Elsan point and motor home service point have been planned with thought, making them easy to access. The owner is a most polite, helpful young man. All this together with the picturesque setting makes this site 'A Little Gem'!

Nice site very peaceful. Toilets and showers kept clean, toilet roll and and heated. Dishwashing room has sinks spindryer and tumbledryer also iron and ironing board microwave and kettle this room is also centrally heated. The site is in a lovely piturescue position and very reasonably priced. There are no play facilities for children but there is a small playground within minutes walking and there is plenty of space for the children to play on site, the site has a very safe feel about it for families, allowing you to give the children a bit of freedom, ours are 6, 7 and 10 and loved the site. Pithces are also generously sized. Definately a site we would use again.

June 2004 We stopped at this site in 2003 intending to stay overnight and carry on our journey the next day, it was raining on arrival but the next day it was beautiful hot and sunny. The site was run by the young chap as mentioned above, very helpful, very clean toilets and shower room, good dishwash room with even books and magazines to borrow. We liked it so much that we stayed another three nights, there were a few midges about in the evening but not as many as we have had elswhere. highly recomennded. Oh I forgot to mention its only a couple of hundred yards from the road but no traffic noise at all

May 2005 Beautiful campsite. Approx. 40 pitches, some grass, some hard-standing. All beautifully maintained. Shower/toilet block spotless and central heated. Washing up area/laundry with microwave, ironing board and iron. Seems to be owned and run by young man (John Beattie) very friendly and helpful. The area is ideal for hill walking and plenty of forest walks from the campsite. Small sandy bay 1.5 miles, Shop and pub about 1 mile. Highly recommend a visit.
