Having travelled around most of Scotland and staying in quite a few campsites, this was by far the quietest and accommodating plus good value for money. Anne and Dick have put in a lot of hard work to get this up and running and couldn't do enough to ensure that my stay was enjoyable and peaceful.
The site is really well located for those who want to venture into the hills to ramp up their Munro tallies or, for those who enjoy a more flattish terrain, Cull Bay is in walking distance along a designated path keeping you off the main roads.
Facilities at the site are excellent and clean but as said, this site is still being developed and no doubt will be a gem of a place once completed.
For those who put wifi as their first Maslows priority of need, this is available and you get quite a good coverage without having to wait for buffering.
There is a golf and activity centre towards Ballahuilish as well as a Supermarket. Plenty of places to stop and eat as well as the famous Boot Bar (you will need transport to get there!). The main thing is the scenery, you are in hill walking territory as well as a few touristy attractions (castles, history, boat trips etc. ) so it's quite ideal for the family get away and for those that want to explore.
I will definitely be staying there again when I look forward to bagging a few Munros and a peaceful rest afterwards.

Arrived on our bikes wet and tired to be met by the lovely owner who told us to pitch any where. Good soft ground. Very midgey don't forget your face nets, you'll be eaten alive. The Sustrans bicycle route runs adjacent to the site Oban to Fort William and is nearing completion. The owl box with the cctv was very interesting as was talking to the owner about its history.
Pub down the track is pretty good for food and beers, but quite pricey.
Toilet/shower/laundry et. Al. All top notch.

May 2015 was our 7th consecutive visit, and once again everything was spot on, the owners Anne and Dick continue to strive to provide an excellent service, the park is situated in an ideal location for touring NW Scotland with destinations N, S, E and W all accessible, but if just lounging around your tent / caravan is all that's required you really can't go wrong, beautiful setting, picnic benches are plentiful and the toilets are ALWAYS spotless with hot water available 24/7 for the showers. The on site 'campers kitchen' has everything and more you require including a washer and tumble dryer. We have been in some extreme weather in the past in the early months for a tent, one night of high winds we could hear something outside --- it was Anne the site owner knocking in some loose guy rope pegs we had, that just about sums up what a gem of a site this is. The tent pitches are extremely spacious and flat with very good drainage which is always welcome, roll on Sept for visit no 8 !

Gorgeous location, peaceful, tranquil, surrounded by a view to die for. Excellent, spotless facilities. Returned for a further stay this time in a tent in July and returning again in August and September. You cannot beat this site for a faultless relaxing break. Very close to the bay for water lovers and right in the heart of exquisite countryside for walkers and explorers alike.

Stayed at this site for the Easter weekend and found the owners to be very helpful and friendly. The first morning when we discovered that we had forgotten milk for our coffee I asked the owner where the nearest shop was located, when I realised that it was about 5 miles away the owner was only to pleased to offer a jug of milk until we went for some shopping later that day.
The site is very flat and suitable for the largest of tents which we have found to be difficult over the years, very clean and well maintained.
The toilet blocks are modern and spotless with plenty of hot water at any time of the day or night.
There is a kitchen on site which has a microwave and kettle for general use and a large fridge freezer which is ideal for freezing the ice packs for the cool box.
The weather was so good for the weekend that we did not travel apart from a trip to oban on the Saturday so unable to comment on the surrounding area or attractions.
The area allocated for cleaning dishes and pots is within the kitchen area which could not be better placed as with 2 sinks and not like other sites where the sinks are covered by a tin roof and not pleasant when the rain is coming down horizontally.
Will definitely be going back to this site.
Full marks to the owners.

I have just returned from a very relaxing week at the Achindarroch Touring Park in Duror, Argyll. This site has everything that ticks all the boxes for me, namely:
- a hearty welcome from the site owners
- five-star customer service
- ultra clean toilet facilities
- total peace and quiet
- breathtaking surroundings
- easy access to Oban, Fort William and beyond
- superb value for money
The site has the added bonus of sitting adjacent to Cycle Route 78, running from Oban to Fort William. This is a blessing for walkers and cyclists, right on the doorstep of the site.
The owners clearly take a lot of pride in their site, and are continuing to improve facilities all the time. This will become the pre-eminent site in the area, I'm sure.
I can't recommend this site highly enough. I will definitely be back!

Just come back from a brilliant touring holiday in Scotland in which we stayed at Achindarroch twice, once in our tent and the other in one of the pods. Anne & Dick are very friendly and nothing is too much bother. The site is immaculately clean and is serviced with plenty of hot water for the showers at any time of the day which were very clean and free to use. There is also a camper’s kitchen so pots and pans could get a good clean after use, and where you could re-freeze your freezer packs. The tent pitches are spacious with plenty of room between tents.
We have stayed in a pod before at another camp site where you basically needed everything except your tent, not so at Achindarroch, camp beds with air mattress’s on are included as well as a double gas cooker with gas, a box of pots and pans with mugs, plates, bowls and cutlery so all you need to bring is the sleeping bags.
As for location it was ideal for us with the dog, within a five minute walk we were in Glen Duror Forest where we could walk up the hills or stay on the forest trail. Ten minutes in the other direction takes you to Cuil Bay were the dog was able to swim and splash about to his heart’s content. The camp site is well situated if you wanted to explore further afield and was easy to find. We will be coming back to this excellent site.

What a excellent place this is to stay. Me and my family, and our dog Kear spent a wonderful week camping on this site, and although the weather was not at its best we made the most of it. It was a great base for touring round the sites of this part of Scotland.
The site itself was the best we have ever stayed on, the pitches were flat and well maintained, the shower blocks and toilets were immaculate and the campers kitchen was above and beyond what was expected with the use of sinks washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave and fridge freezer. This was a top grade site and the owner was more than willing to help with everything and anything she could. One of the days we were there she came around to warn us to check our pegs as they had forecast gale force wind, luckily we were fine but one poor couple arrived during said winds and unfortunately some of there tent rods snapped which was very distressing for them, Ann however very kindly and at no extra cost put them in one of her empty pods for the night till they sorted themselves out with a replacement, which was really good of her. Thank you for making our stay in Scotland a pleasurable one and we will definitely be back in the future, and will be recommending this site to our camping friends.

Brilliant! This site is in my top 3 sites that I have visited.
We arrived with 3 kids and 3 dogs to a warm friendly welcome from Anne, who gave a quick tour of the site and then then we were shown our huge flat pitch with EHU. The shower/toilet block is modern and clean and was kept like that for our 10 day stay, as was the whole site.
The site is in easy reach of Oban, Fort william and the various ferries for visiting the nearby islands.
Anne was always on hand to help and to have a chat and even took time to say goodbye when we were leaving, so a big thankyou to you and Dick, keep up the good work and if we are in that area of Scotland again we won't hesitate to call you up first
Once again a really great site
