The owners of this site put a great deal of effort into the operation. At time of our visit they were in process of installing decking at reception.
We had booked in advance and they had our documentation ready. Ground on the site is firm and dry. Road round site is paved and easily negotiated.
There are several water points and refuse disposal around site. Recycling strongly encouraged and carried out by owners. Washing-up, laundry and toilets kept immaculately checked regularly.
Owners very welcoming and visible.

Just returned from the 2nd visit to this site.
It is a very peaceful relaxing site.
The owners are very friendly and helpful nothing is to much bother.
The Toilet block is exceptionally clean at all times.
Pitches are big compared to a lot of sites.
Even though there had been a lot of rain before we arrived the ground was not to wet.
It was nice to see children and dogs were very welcome.
There had been a few alterations since last year, new reception and pods both were in keeping with the surrounding area.
We will be back again next year.

Just returned from a wonderful weekend at this campsite, sharing with family in a Pod and us in a tent.
Anne and Dick were ever so helpful and welcoming, introducing us to friendly neighbours and offering good advice of things to do. The Pods are superb, very cosy and well equipped.
We will be returning to them! Showers, toilets, and kitchen facilities all very clean and well maintained and supplied. Good tent pitches, plenty of space.
Had a superb meal out at he Holy Tree resturant 5 minutes down the road at Kentallen, on their advice. Visited Fort William, Neptunes Staircase, Oban, Ganavan Sands, Stalker Castle View Point Gift Shop, enjoyed walks from the campsite and had a fantastic view of the Lorn Falls at their best, all included in the Information Pack available on arrival at the site.
We certainly recommend Achindarroch as one of our favourites in all of the many campsites we have visited in most European countries over the years.

A lovely site with friendly, helpful owners who provide interesting information packs on the area. They ensured our family booking could be accommodated next to each other. This site is very good value for money and didn't hike up the price for our large family tent.
The site enjoys wonderful views and is perfectly located for exploring Oban and the surrounding area. We paddled at Cuill Bay and took the ferry to Kerrerra Island, which makes for a lovely day out.
The campers' kitchen is well equipped and the toilets and showers were spotless even in the muddiest of Scottish downpours.
Whilst there is no specific children's' playpark the flat spacious layout means that children can happily play ball games etc. This site is ideal for young families due to its quiet and relaxed atmosphere.
Yes, midgies enjoy this site too, but pack some repellent and mesh hoods and they won't become too troublesome.
As there is no shop on the site take what you need with you, though there are plenty of shops nearby.
Unless you don't mind extortionate bar prices avoid the Stewart Hotel, I was shocked at their overpriced and badly selected stock - £4. 50 for a glass of Concorde Wine! Next time I'll enjoy the view from outside my tent.
We will be back!

This site is the best site we have been to. The owners (Ann Dick June and Trevor) work all the time. The toilets and showers are always clean as is the site.
Our twin girls Amy and Charlie were always trying to confuse Ann and June who was who. The site is roughly half way between Fort William and Oban and the scenery is lovely.
Ann and June know the area well and can tell you lots of different places to visit.
Everyone on the site was friendly and spoke to you and we met a few friends there.
Casper the dog was great fun and got on good with our dog Spade.
We loved our holiday and cant wait to go back!

This was a holiday from heaven. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed, shown the facilities and our pitch. The facilities, i. E. The toilets are showers are spotless. The showers were hot and whilst there was only two, we never ever had to wait to use them.
The site was very quiet and the backdrop of the mountains behind made for a wonderful view, no matter where you were on the campsite. The pitch we had was massive. We had plenty of room for the unit as well as space to sit out.
We were very lucky with the weather with only three days of rain in two weeks and some excellent sunshine. The owners are not afraid to let the campers know if they are making too much noise, so if a peaceful, relaxing holiday is what you are after, then this is the place.
Yes there was midges present but found them not to be as bad as we expected. We went armed with repellant, midge coils and incense sticks and they really did the trick in keeping them at bay.
The surrounding area is just amazing.
Of the area surrounding the campsite, Glencoe has definitely got to be visited especially the visitor centre. We spent a fantastic day in the area and the National Trust put on special sessions for the kids. Our two boys had a 1 1/2 hour session learning wilderness skills like lighting fires, foraging for food and building a shelter.
Arisaig and Mallaig must be visited if you like beaches. Its approx 1 1/2 hours away but WOW. Beautiful, fine soft white sand. We had two days on the beaches in bright warm sunshine. We were swimming in the turquoise waters and had, due to the remoteness of the area virtually the beach to ourselves. Wish we've taken the inflatable boat with us as the waters were flat calm and water crystal clear.
Oban and Fort William are approx 30 minutes away.
We visited the Lochnell Hotel Restaurant for a meal at Connel (South of the campsite)which we can highly recommend.
If you like cycling, the Nevis range has got to be visited and we also found the Caledonian Canal a lovely cycle. 17 mile round trip and its really quiet.
There are plenty of walks in the area ranging from small walks of a couple of miles to the longer walls up the Munros.
Oban is well work a visit and a boat trip to the seal island and the Salmon Farm is amazing. Watch the Salmon jumping out of the water and see the seals in the water near the boat.
For a rainy day, a visit to the Cruachan Power Station is well worth a visit. For those that don't mind travelling a little, a visit to the Highland Wildlife Centre near Aviemore (approx 1 1/2 travel) is great for the kids. The Animal enclosure are great and the Polar Bear is amazing to see.
Could have happily spent another two weeks there as there is so much to do.
Overall, probably our best holiday ever.

Very nice site well maintained and with very friendly and helpful staff.
On arrival we were warmly welcomed by one of the owners and shown around all the facilities and asked where we preferred to pitch our tent to best suit our needs (mine and my three year old son).
All facilities are kept very clean and very well kept.
Perfect location for exploring the west coast between Oban and Fort William.
Would definitely use again and recommend to others.
Perfectly relaxing camping experience.

Our third visit to this wonderful site and it won't be our last, the owners are the best even when they try to run a four minute mile! Casper (the puppy) is adorable.
Toilet block spotless, warm and inviting. Pitches good size and all with good views. The kitchen is well appointed.
Nearest shops at Ballachullish (co-op) 10 minute drive.
Fort William and Oban both half an hours drive. Nearby hotel the Holly Tree do very good bar meals, you can sit on the decking overlooking the loch whilst enjoying your meal.

Just back from 8 nights at this lovely campsite (paid for 7 with 1 night free!). Views of the mountains from the pitch were fantastic.
The owners gave us a really warm welcome and were always on hand to help.
There were really bad storms whilst we were there and we lost electric for 2 days but we updated regularly which is all that you can ask for.
Secure field available for exercising dogs and the owners were very dog friendly.
Toilet and shower facilities were warm, modern and cleaned daily.
Campers kitchen an excellent idea if you are staying in a Pod or a tent and washing machine and dryer available but at a cost - £3.50 per wash and 50p for 15 mins in the dryer which was quite costly.
Overall a really enjoyable stay despite bad weather and somewhere we would definitely return to.
Co Op in Ballachulish approx 15 mins away and Morrisons at Fort William approx 35 mins away.

This is a lovely well maintained site that has very friendly staff. We were shown around and everything was spotless. The showers were brilliant and toilets excellent.
Pitches were large with good views. As we were in a motor home we did not have a car so oban and fort william were too far away to visit by bike.
There are forest walks, but no shops so take what you need with you. We got digital tv and the site caters for recycling.
The price was good value and was a lot cheaper than all the others we stayed at
