What an amazing site we could not believe how beautiful it was, only a small site but all the pitches had plenty of space, well looked after by the owners you can tell how much pride they have in their place. Adults only site so an excellent place to unwind and relax, the toilets and shower blocks were immaculate although a bit dated still in very good order. Although out in the country its just a short drive from many places, Wrexham, Whitchurch, and Ellesmere. In Overton there is a pub on the high street that does a fantastic carvery on a sunday. We will visit this site again and hopefully very soon. We paid £12 per night and for that you cant go wrong.

A very peaceful site catering for adults only in a lovely part of the country. Beautifully landscaped and with spacious pitches. EHU was within easy reach of our 10 metre cable. Open all year with good hard standing plus graveled grass pitches for summer use. Facilities were excellent and spotlessly clean although unheated during our visit. Had the heating been on this site would be a perfect 12 out of 10. The facilities consist of 2 'all in' shower rooms with shower, toilet and sink plus 2 separate toilets. There is also an excellent washing up room with 3 sink units, an indoor toilet emptying point and a superb information room. Everything is kept in excellent condition and very neat and tidy. For dog owners there is also a great dog walking area that wraps around the site and is accessible via a gate at either end. The owners are very pleasant and friendly without being in your face. Ellesmere is a short drive away with a Tesco and there is an Indian restaurant and fish and chip shop in the nearest village, Overton. A site will will return again and again as it is only an hour away. I think we have found our perfect weekend bolt hole.

What a fantastic site, owners were very helpful and allowed us to stay later on departure date due to site being quiet and we wanting to go for a local carvery. Site immaculate, garden well maintained and nice layout with great toilet/shower rooms, large information room and amazing dog walking fields where we could allow our dog off the lead. Easy access straight off main road and plenty of room between pitches. Plenty of fresh water points. Separate all gravel area for a few caravans if you prefer. Only negative thing which we failed to mention was lack of hand dryer/hand towels in washrooms. Good TV reception. Ideal location to explore Ellesmere or head to places like Wrexham, Chester, Llangollen and the fantastic views in Snowdonia. Definitely will be returning as its open all year which is an added bonus. Site is a credit to its owners.

Fantastic site and very friendly owners and family, we were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. Excellent facilities toilet and showers were spotless also washing up facilities. Our dog Flint really enjoyed himself running around in the field also watching the sheep in the other fields. We will be back as soon as we can. Bus service into Wrexham and Whitchurch every hour which is great when having a motor home

This is one of the best adults only caravan sites that we have stayed at. every one is so friendly, especially the owners. There are two showers with toilets & wash basins, a separate toilet, grey water disposal, chemical disposal, and a large information room. The site is flat and very well kept, access is straight off the main road through a very wide entrance and down a straight drive. All pitches have e/h/u.
We have booked to stay here again & will do so many more times in the future.

We have been using this site for many years on an annual basis. The cleanliness of the facilities and the site in general has to be seen to be believed, everything is immaculate.
The location is excellent with many interesting places to visit within easy distance. These vary from horse racing(Bangor on Dee) shopping (Wrexham) and magnificent scenery (Llangollen and horseshoe pass)
Having stayed at many sites throughout Europe in the last 50 years of touring I would place this site, and its owners, among the finest I have used.

This was the first we visited this site and were are very impressed with the overall facilities. The owner was most helpful and made us feel more than welcome. The facilities were first class, clean and very accessible. The site is ideal for couples that just want to have a weekend away from the kids. The space between caravans is more than generous, although the other people on site are more than willing to talk. We visit the nearby city of Liverpool where we had a great day out. We visited the museums and the docks and found them most interesting. The city itself was great too, for shopping and eating and it was only an hours drive. We also visited the nearby town of Llangollen with its steam railway and horse drawn narrow boat. We will definitely be going again.

This is a well kept, lovely site.
The site has one toilet and two shower/toilets which were fine for the size of the site. These were kept very clean and well aired. There is a large 'leaflet' room which in fact has loads of information about the local area, books people can borrow, photos of the farm before it was turned into a campsite and much more.
The owners couldn't have been friendlier, coming by to check if I was warm enough in the evening and offering me the chance to have a cup of tea and toast with them in the morning. Sadly I had to leave early otherwise I would have taken them up on the offer!
I was hiking through the area on the Maelor way so I did not have time to check out the local area. Close by is Overton which has a shop and at least 1 public house but other than that I'm not sure what was nearby. The site is well located as a half way point on the Maelor way though.

Second time here, fantastic peaceful site. Owners are brilliant. First time here in July it rained heavily during the evening we were allowed to go in the leaflet room/library, ended up ten of us in there having a great time.
Toilets and showers excellent, cosy like at home.
Makes a great base for days out around North Wales. We only live 20 minutes away but love the relaxing atmosphere. Lots of wildlife and birds in the area, watched a Barn owl hunting at dusk in the field behind our caravan. Good well stocked 'corner shop' five minutes away in the car.
O2 phone reception fair.
TV good with external aerial.
