Just returned from a 4 night stay at this site. Facilities are excellent, especially for children.
Would have to agree with all the other people who have reviewed this site, it is a great campsite.
My only reservations would be that the swimming pool was very cold considering it was heated. Not enough showers in toilet blocks. And for people staying in tents the only available sites are either next to the road, which is very busy for a small blocked-off country road, or at other end of site which has the railway line right next to it.
All-in-all would use this site again.

Base our selves at this site every year throughout august for the last 3 years (Good value for a monthly stay)
Excellent base to travel the cumbrian countryside.
Campsite is excellent, clean and plenty to occupy our Children (now 11 & 8 and 6 months), facilities marvellous, Staff very helpful and friendly and will be returning again next year without fail
At lest this year we can go walking and not be hampered by the F & M restrictions

Excellent, clean site for families. Camping pithes good and range of facilties for the kids is excellent, plus laundry, dish washing, ice-pack freezer and good toilets/showers. Great touring base for the Lakes without being in the busy main areas. First time family camping trip and a 100% success! - will definately return.

I visited wild rose last year with my husband and 3 children. we used it as a base for 5 days as my husband was working in the area.
I found the staff to be very friendly and very obliging. The site was spotless and i was very impressed with the laundry and the showers/toilets which were spotlessly clean.
There was plenty things to keep the children occupied...parks, table tennis, arcade, pool, t.v room, swimming pool, large grassy area for football, a small golfing area,competitions and a small cinema room where films were shown daily.
A great time was had by all and and we hope to visit again this year..thank you wild rose :-)
