One of the best sites we have ever used, Right on the Longleat estate. The site is quite large, but the pitches are large and well spaced. The shower blocks are very clean at all times And the staff are very helpful. There are also a couple of pubs near buy, serving excellent food. Or just 7 miles away are the towns of Warminster and Frome.

We have just returned from a 6 night visit with our 2yr old grandson. The site is as previously stated and has excellent facilities within easy reach of all Longleat's attractions. The only criticism I have is that it is not as Dog friendly as it looks. The sites dog walk is just an overgrown track in a wood that I would not use in the wet or in the dark. The estate requires your dog on a lead at all times so there is little opportunity to let your dog blow off steam with a free run. If you don't have a dog then its a very nice site to pay a visit and if you use Tesco club card points to obtain a Longleat Passport it's an absolute bargain as you can pay every attraction a single visit for approx £4.75 in Tesco vouchers, so it won't cost you a bean if you shop there on a regular basis. The house is stunning so don't miss it.

We can only agree with the previous comments made for this site. We arrived in torrential rain, the site had been reduced to the hard standing pitches only, and yet in these dreary conditions the site held up well. The Toilet blocks were spotless and the rain drained off well. By the end of the weekend the weather improved and the wardens were able to offer more pitches. Even when full it still seems open and relaxing with plenty of facilities. The walking is good from the site, with decent pubs close by, one in particular offering top notch food. The whole week was a joy and this goes straight in to one of our top sites ever.

We visited this site in our folding camper for 8 nights. I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere so great! The site is large but never feels busy or crowded, the showers/toilets are always immaculately clean and warm. Best of all Longleat House and attractions are only five minutes walk away, great fun for all the family!

What a fantastic site. Although a busy site we did not need to book in August! and managed to get a pitch right by the play area so our 5 year old daughter could play while we enjoyed a glass of wine!
All the facilities in the camp site are, as usual of the very highest standard; toilets are spotless, all very clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
This sight is within 5 minutes walk of the famous Longleat house with all the attractions and excellent value for money. we will definitely be going back next year.

We had a fantastic time at this site. The site itself is pristine and, although when we visited it was full, it is well laid out so it didn't feel overcrowded. Its best feature is, however, that is literally at the back entrance to Longleat so you can ditch the car. You really can hear sea lions barking and lions roaring from your van!
Longleat is fantastic value with lots going on - we visited over three days so we didn't have to rush anything and really enjoyed it. There is also plenty to visit in the nearby area. We went to Salisbury, which is well worth a visit and Stonehenge - also good.

What a fantastic site... the wardens are very helpful, even willing to have conversations with my 14 yr old with special needs (we call him 20 questions). The toilet/washing blocks were very good and clean, the information room was full of leaflets of what to do in the area. The sounds of the Lions, Sea Lions and the Wolfs are quite wonderful to hear and give the campsite a surreal feel. Longleat itself takes at least 2- 3 days to do everything, I would recomend a passport ticket and that you use the safari bus after seeeing what the monkeys can do.
We also visited Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge, Frome, Warminster and the Clarke shopping outlet at Street.

What can I say....what a wonderful site. This site is quite big but never over noisey even when we were there in the school hols. Most pitches are hard standing with some grass pitches. Two Toilet blocks that were brill clean at all times and excellent showers. Laundrey room, information room and childrens room, where videos were shown. There was a childrens play park and a green for ball games. The wardens were very helpful. A Fish and Chip van came three night a week and the food was good and at a reasonable price. From some pitches you could see the Minature train going past. You could here the sea lions and lions which was nice. The attractions were only five mins walk from the site main entrance. There is a dog walk on site where dogs can run free, but there are plently of walks for dog lovers from the site. Will defintely go again....First Class Site. Plus Longleat accept Tesco Clubcard deal tokens so you can buy your passport tickets really cheaply.

CC site with superlative facilities, must be the best on the network. Very busy, essential to book well ahead if you want to visit at weekends or during school holidays. Quite far to go for shops, so plan ahead and go prepared. Longleat itself is great, good value for money, we really enjoyed it.

July 2005 What an excellent holiday! The park is extremely well maintained and the staff are very helpful. At night you can hear the lions roar and the sealions barking! Going to Longleat is probably he best value park we have ever been to (Adults £18 children £14), BUT you can keep going until you have seev everything so the "passport ticket" is valid for a WHOLE SEASON. When we paid to go in the lady noticed our disabled badge (our daughter has leukamia and cannot walk far at the moment) and said disabled AND carers are both 1/2 price. We also travelled to Wookey Hole, Bath and Weston Super Mare from the base in Longleat.
Wonderful and recommended to everyone.
