This is a great site.
Good fields for tents, spacious fields with great size pitches, and everything are cleaned daily.
The toilets and showers are well maintained and cleaned by Carol the owner at the time.
A very happy family holiday.

No reception, given wrong pitch number over the phone, so had to de camp and move to another pitch.
Lovely camp site but lacks organisation.
Double check your pitch number before you arrive.

This is a beautiful site with mature trees and if you love watching wildlife there's lots to see here, it has loads of potential but the facilities let it down.
There is no Wi-fi, surely one of life's essentials nowadays, although the aerial on the site seems to suggest it once had Wi-fi.
The 'toilet block' is very basic housed in old out-buildings, 2 toilets for women plus one shower with a toilet, probably similar for men but they were always clean. There's just one sink for washing up in the passage between the loos. There seems to be another set of toilets nearby but they were kept locked.
There are plenty of pitches but only a few with electricity and the lights on our field didn't work.
No recycling bins at all! The grass is cut but not collected so you walk rotting grass into your caravan.
There are no laundry facilities and nothing for kids. However, if you're prepared to rough it, it is a nice camp site.
It is just a CL after all so you get what you pay for.
But it could be so much better. On the plus side, if you like visiting lovely gardens, stately homes, quaint villages and ancient churches, this is a good base and there's a pub serving good food just down the road.

Lovely well laid out campsite in grounds of a hall, beautiful surroundings with pools with many ducks, swans, geese etc.
Basic but very clean toilets and amenities.
Friendly people to deal with. Very good value for money.
We stopped there one night on way from Herefordshire to Scotland

Lovely family run site who were very helpful,
Smallish with great facilities that were well stocked and cleaned often. Washer and dryer too.
Not far from chester zoo and city center.
Calm, relaxed location and will return

Our first time staying but a lovely site with a friendly atmosphere, very clean facilities, and helpful owners.
Have to keep a close eye out for the entrance as sign posting was minimal but would gladly stay again.

Have used this site many times for overnight stays on long journeys from Scotland to England & back.
Facilities have improved over the years but on this particular stay found it rammed to the gills with MH's. Caravans and the odd tent!
Know they have facilities for rally/temp holiday pitches but wonder if it was too full? Would still recommend it and will still use it but maybe not for long stay as we prefer CL sites.
Lovely area. Price for non-CAMHC very good but found it a bit too noisy for us old codgers!
Entrance is a little tight, especially for wider/longer MH's or caravans and depending on approach is hidden.
