We've camping, caravanned and motorhomed all over the UK, as well as in the US and Australia. Never have we stayed in such a perfect place as this!
The scrunch of gravel as you arrive sets the scene. On either side of the winding drive are lakes, teeming with geese and ducks, while specimen trees dot the parkland around the pitches. We stayed on hard standing with our own hookup, water and waste water facilities, but grass pitches and a rally field are also available.
The welcome was warm and friendly, the washrooms heated and pleasant, and we enjoyed breakfast while watching a pheasant, two squirrels, a woodpecker and innumerable ducks and geese going about their daily business.
Absolutely top marks all round from us!

Stayed on the hardstanding area open to anyone. The hosts keep the place spotless. Loos and showers nice and clean and very warm. Has carefully thought about the pitches and which way to park so that everyone gets a decent view. There is some noise from the main road, but not enough to worry about and it quietens down at night. Plenty of geese and birds to watch and hear around the site. Very pretty place with the lakes etc. Easy walk to the local pub which serves reasonable food at sensible price. All in all a really good place to stay for a couple of days.

Just returned from a fabulous trip to this site. Jen met us on arrival and showed us to our pitch - all the pitches are spacious.
The site is in the grounds of Belmont Hall and campers have the use of the grounds including fishing lakes.
This site is very dog friendly - our three particularly enjoyed the a dog exercise field where dogs can play off lead.
There are 3 showers 1 for woman, 1 for men (both suitable for disabled) and 1 unisex, and 2 toilets each for men and woman, and 3 unisex - all immaculate.
There is one washing up sink which is inside (great on those rainy days).
This is a gem of site and we will definitely be returning

We stayed at this campsite for two nights. The reception we got was very friendly and we were shown the facilities. It's got a fishing lake which was very popular.
The facilities were very good and location also great. We walked into Great Budworth which was a lovely little village with a nice pub of which the food looked great.
We would return without hesitation.

What a fantastic site in a superb location to visit Cheshire. Gordon and Jen could not be more welcoming and accommodating from the moment you ring up to book the site and are given crystal clear directions to the site by Jen, when you arrive and you are given a personal tour of the facilities by Gordon and right through your stay they are both available to offer help and advice on there superbly kept site and local area attractions. We cant wait to go back.

This was our second visit to the site and it will not be our last. We were shown to our pitch and even when the site was getting busy as bank holiday approached the distance between tents was fantastic.
First impressions: the site is situated in the grounds of Belmont hall, the campsite is surrounded by some beautiful lakes, and the grounds are fairly flat as well. It also has a dog excerise field which is quite large and a brilliant addition. The camping area is quite spacious and the toilet/showers/washing up area were always clean and warm. Both Gordon and Jen were so lovely, approachable and always around to help.
Facilities: water points are dotted around the campsite, and has an Elsan point. I felt the toilet/shower allocation on site was just right for the site size. The site also has a single sink for washing up.
The dog excerise field was a lovely size for my dog to have some fun off the lead. The site also has a small nature walk which my 4 year old wanted to explore everyday and there are a lot of big old trees around the campsite with space for kids to run around and play without getting near the tents/motorhomes/caravans
Things to do: if you want to go off site it's not far to Delamere forest, the ice-cream farm, a number of small museums, and the Anderton boat lift.
Yes the site is on the airport flight paths but for us we didn't find this a problem. We soon didn't notice them. Though to our boy it was another highlight to his holiday.
One final point that made this site really stand out for us is the friendly camping/ carravaning community that is formed there and with both Gordon and Jen joining in and helping drive this it is something I haven't experienced anywhere else and I loved it

We were flexible at the time of our booking over the nights and when we arrived we saw why its wise to book site. It has 2 CL areas, MCC and Camping & Caravan Club. It also has a rally field.
On entering the driveway you cant fail to be impressed with the views. We were welcomed by Jen one of the site managers who took us to our pitch which was equipped with its own tap, drain and electric hook up.
Gordon, the other site manager explained where the facilities were. The toilets were spotless as was the Elsan disposal point.
The pitches had lovely views which were enhanced by the well kept grass and site areas.
There is a short cut over the next field to the Cock O Budworth pub where an excellent meal will compliment your stay.
All in all an enjoyable stay, and although not very far from home this site and its friendly managers will see us again.

Our first trip out this year, and we are somewhat new to caravaning, Was meet by Gordon site Manager, Could not have been more helpful, the site is kept spotless and clean, Toilets and showers basic but again spotless, you can tell Gordon and his wife enjoy their work and all ways busy tending to something, but will always find time you give you any info you require very friendly, site is inbetween two airports paths didn't find it a problem at all, fishing on site for small charge husband very happy. And all this 40minutes away for my doorstep of a busy town. Came home friday for work but have already rebooked. For a few more days of peace and quite and relaxation. Small but happy friendley site, We didn't need the shops or the pub we did come fully stockd just in case ! but on our return will try the local real ale pub 5 mins walk away.

This was our first visit to the site which as well as being a C&CC certified site is an overnight stop and a Motorhomes club site as well.
We had booked a serviced hard standing which was flat, roomy with our own drain and water standpipe and had views down to the fishing ponds.
We were met by Gordon, who helped us site the Motorhomes and showed us round the facilities.
The grass field sites looked more attractive so we will book one of those next time if the weather cooperates.
Small toilet block with disabled shower rooms, a sink and a mini library.
Lots and lots of space for dog walks but must be on a lead unless on the dedicated dog walk field. Our little one didn't like the field as the grass was a bit too long for her.
Campers have access to one of the fishing ponds for a modest daily fee and my husband made a lot of use of this 😄
We called at the nearby Spinner and Bergamot for lunch on the way in and next time intend to call at the farm shop just off the motorway and stock our fridge.
It is a lovely site and we will be making a return visit soon

Just arrived back from this site. Gordon the site manager was extremely helpful, nothing was to much trouble for him. The site is very clean with newly fitted toilet/shower rooms. Lovely setting with 5 fishing ponds to wander around, a good dog walking field and very peaceful. Yes you can just hear the road but it's not particularly busy so it's fine. As it's 40 mins from home I think we have found our new bolt hole.
