Liked…location. Cleanliness of facilities, although a little bizarre set up.
Generally quiet Reasonable rates. WiFi available.
Disliked… 10 amps advertised, only 6 available. Noisy road nearby daytime. Hard standing area rather like a car park
Tents and caravans are located often to close to each other.

4th time staying at this site as it's the nicest campsite for access to Warrington. It's always relaxed and pleasant, clean, safe and spacious.
The views over the park are delightful and with the lakes, birds, cows, ducks, swans and geese there's always an interest to be had.
We will continue to return here.

A little road noise but not a problem. Good for access to Warrington. Helpful owners.

As with all sites we found good and not so good points.
Although it has to he said this site has more good than bad.
Good points- beautiful location surrounded by small ponds and lakes.
Clean toilets and showers, grass cut and collected.
Friendly, helpful owners.
Priced absolutely correctly at 18 pn inc ehu.
Decent sized pitches.
Nice mix of people- young and old.
Only a 30 min drive into Manchester.
Anderton boat lift only 2 miles away, is worth a visit if you like Victorian engineering.
Their visitor centre is very impressive.
Bad points- none of the following particularly spoilt our stay.
Minor road noise from nearby A road.
Entrance to site easy to miss, signage not the best.
If you're in a tent, you will have to queue for toilets and showers at peak times.
No children's play equipment.
We will return to this site, no problem

Great campsite with good facilities. Our pitch wasn't exactly level but it wasn't a real problem.
Toilets, showers and wash-up area were clean & well serviced.
It wasn't a real issue but one of the two men's toilets was out of action for the duration of our visit.
Slight frustration (more for the kids) at the 'push button' shower type - though I'm all for saving water these could benefit from updating

We have been regulars at this site for a number of years, our last visit being around 12 months ago when Gordon was manager. Sadly, he passed away last August but his daughter has stepped into his shoes (and they were some shoes to fill) and runs the site as efficiently and friendly as her Dad.
It’s a stunning location in the parkland of a beautiful estate with very mature trees, lakes, and various separate camping areas so lots of space.
There are sanitisers at the taps, bins and outside the facilities block. Some WCs are closed to help social distancing but it’s a very ‘grown-up’ approach to managing these strange times.
There’s a hard standing area at the side of the facilities block but we prefer the semi-hard standing with gravel areas set into the grass.
The facilities block provides hot showers and sinks with a book exchange in the corridor, there’s even a bottle of shower gel.
Fishing on most of the ponds is with Lymm Anglers but campers can pay £5 for a day ticket and use the pond nearest the camping fields.
Dogs are welcome, on leads around the site but there’s a massive dog exercise area. All this plus electric for £18 a night.
It poured down today (Monday) but that didn’t spoil our trip, just lovely to watch and listen to the trees in the wind.

We’d read some negative comments so were a little apprehensive. No need whatsoever! Lovely site, well maintained, lush and green with lakes on site and wildlife wandering around.
Facilities were lovely and clean and the managers of the site were really friendly and obliging.
We wouldn’t hesitate to use the site in the future.
