This site is located in a stunning location and is handy for Skipton, Malham and surrounding area. The warden (male) was particularly approachable and helpful to us on setting up.
The campsite has quite a few static caravans set back from the main camping field where caravans and tents are mixed.
There is a small shop on site selling 'essentials' though Grassington is just a short drive away and well worth the visit for either shopping or pub food, we particularly recommend the Foresters Arms for home cooked food!
On a slightly more negative side I must say we were disappointed by the poor standard of the toilet block which at times was particularly grubby.
The toilets and showers are rather 'tired' looking and although there was plenty of hot water the floor/grates were filthy. Several toilets had no paper and the soap dispenser was empty for 2 days! with so many campers using such a small toilet block I think it could be managed much better which would be more pleasant for all concerned. If there had been a mop and bucket I would have used it. Enough said!

Overall lovely campsite with a great atmosphere. We arrived at 9pm and drove around the site but someone told us to register at the shop in the morning. He was very welcoming and nice.
We stayed 3 nights, Friday-Sunday and although the weather was mixed it didn't detract from the views.
The facilities were what you would expect, plenty of hot water in the showers and facilities for children as well (children's bath / shower).
Washing up area contained 3 sinks, again with adequate hot water. There's also a drinking water tap outside and a laundry although we didn't use the laundry.
The shop is well stocked and the lady who served us (owner?) was very helpful with information about the surrounding area.
Definitely recommend.

Stayed here after been recommended by friends. We just wanted to pre-book a single night to test our new Vango. This site did not let us down, will highly recommend to other people.
On arrival we booked in at the usually site shop and was allowed to choose our pitch. We set up next to the Toilet/Shower block so my two young children could use the facilities on their own if needed. We found this to be fine but to be honest anywhere on site would of been fine for access etc. And there was not really any noise from the block on a night.
Site itself we could not really fault. Really clean and flat. Toilets where really good and showers were free. Usual washing up area. Small on-site shop and playground/play area for kids.
Lovely short walks for kids and pretty villages and churches of Arncliffe, Hawkswick and Kettlewell.
This is an ideal site for a quite get away with small families. Enough to do for a couple of days without having to travel too far. But you could easily spend more time with Malham just around corner etc. We live not too far away so it is ideal for a couple of days. Love Grassington, Malham and Hawes etc but personally I would pick a campsite nearer to these areas.
We paid £25 for a single night, medium sized tent, 2 adults, 2 small children, 2 cars and electric.
(Thought price good for 2 cars and electric)
Perfect for a short break with families
Major positives for us
1. Nearby (taking 2 cars)
2. Let us prebook for just one night
3. FREE showers (which where fine).
4. Quite no nova campers
Other side of coin (which we also do but without the kids) got some serious walking so would be a good base or stopping off point for the serious walking in the area.
We will be going back because kids loved it and they are in charge after all.

Arrived on 25th July, was easy to find.
Owners were very welcoming and friendly. The man helping me, as my kids deserted me whilst erecting the tent! Thanks
Were very helpful in recommending places to visit.
Toilets/showers were lovely, and warm, when it was cold outside. Also had a baby bath (womens toilet only)
Small park, good priced shop (when open) and facility to freeze cool packs.
Visited a few places whilst there Middleham Castle (English Heritage) Worth Steam engine (beautiful) which stopped at Keithley and Haworth.
Quite in the middle of nowhere, a lovely shallow stony river, where you can paddle.
Would stay again, but would travel locally. Have quite forgotten how roads in Yorkshire take you hours to get anywhere

Been here a few times now and must be one of our favourite sites.
There is plenty of good walking and plenty of good pubs although you will have to drive, to find a good one.
We have just got back from 5 fabulous days with lots of sunshine, but I must comment on the prices –
We had hard standing (no one else on the site so take your pick) but when we added the price of the awning and 2 friends who came to stay with us it came to £34 per night - and that’s in March! Dread to think what it would be in the summer.
I think charging £5 per person per night to stay in your caravan, taking up no extra space is a bit much, especially so early in the year.
There was no heating in the shower blocks and as stated previously the showers are very underpowered although just about warm enough.
Will probably be trying somewhere a little cheaper this time next year.

We stayed here for a weekend, staying with two other families. We all set our tents and wind breakers up together and made a really private pitch for our families to enjoy. A stones throw from all facilities which were excellent - the only downside being the showers in the shower block - the water barely dribbled out of the shower head!
Other than this the site was excellent, the surrounding countryside fantastic, including Arncliffe, Aysgarth Falls, Grassington, to name but a few!
Arncliffe itself is a terrific little Yorkshire Village, and they were holding their village fete the day we visited - we even had a pint of Timothy Taylors in the Falcon (used for filming the Woolpack during the days of Emmerdale Farm)
Aysgarth Falls were stunning, and you can vision the fight scene from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves with Kevin Costner, when you look over the water!
Over all a terrific location nestling in a picturesque Yorkshire valley!

Just back from a weekend here so thought I would post!
This is a huge site (a bit of a blot on the landscape if you view it from the opposite hill) and not what I would normally choose, but I was pleasantly surprised.
The shop was well stocked, would get papers in for you if you asked. The camping field (no EHU) was towards the road but we did not notice any traffic, and this field was quieter than the rest of the site. This field did slope, but there were plenty of space for tents and it was nicely sheltered by trees. There was a small playground with nice play equipment for all ages. The mobile homes are further up the hill, so get all the good views!
There was a family bathroom for which you had to get a key from reception to use, but the reception shut at 5pm one day! The notice on the door did suggest you could go to the big house for help, but I didn't! There was a brilliant children's bath in the main female bathroom area, but no nappy changing unit (which was in the family bathroom!). Showers were very hot when I used them in early eve and mid afternoon.
There is lots to do in the local area, we happened upon the Arncliffe village fete, Kettlewell scarecrow festival which kept our kids happy! But we found we were always driving to get places.

This was the first time we used our motorhome and the wardens who showed us on site were more than helpful. The views were great, very quiet with not much close by (on foot anyway) but that was fine by us. Wasn't too over crowded at all and seemed like a very well laid back place to us. As we left the warden and his wife (they full-time there in a rv) asked us if we had a good time etc etc. Would definitely go back, shame about the weather but that's no-ones fault I guess!

Visited with a few friends as a get away from it all trip, but still close to home.
Beautiful location which is quite isolated with good walks all around. The villages of Grassington, Masham, Burnsall and Kettlewell offer good selection of country pubs.
Facilities were very clean and hot water etc not an issue. Good outdoor facilities for children.
Would go back again and if you like the area would also recommend Appletreewick.

Pulled up to the campsite afternoon time to the sun beaming down and what a lovely campsite. The view is beautiful. The site is in the middle of the valley so nestled in the valley looking up towards the hills bliss, set out pitches for the tents loads of room not close together at all.
Parked are car up at the bottom and walked up to the little on site shop that they have in the middle of the site lovely. Two women was sat outside catching some sunshine and soon as we walked up to the door they were friendly and making jokes - couldn't do enough to help. All the staff was the same. The gent that worked there showed us were to pitch are tent, lovely spot at the bottom of the site near the entrance (not busy, with traffic so good spot) He watched me and my pal put the tent up, asking if we needed a hand. As we're not pros at camping we were missing a few things, one was a lump hammer for the pegs, so we grabbed a rock of the wall and started bashing. He came running over with the hammer and was more than happy to take over and get the tent up for us!
Soon as this was up we had a look around, the toilets were very clean with the shower and the little baby bath very handy. The kitchen area is also really clean. This campsite was lovely just what your looking for and is perfect for families, there are no large groups of people or young people. Also pub and swimming rivers are very near by so fun for all. Will be going again at the end of the month!
