A good time of year to visit as the site is open(many aren’t!) and it’s nice and quiet.
Beautiful setting in the side of Wenlock edge. Great for walks, great for the dog and very congenial host, Rita.
Very close to Much Wenlock which is a dream, quintessential old English town, lots of history and plenty of shops to browse with a great second hand book shop.

Great little site for a bit of 'nearly' wild camping with the advantages of a shower. Fire pits on site. Shower/WC very clean and new.
Great location to view the Shropshire Hills and right on the Shropshire Way so a walk/cycle along the disused railway line was very easy.
Highly recommended.

A wonderful second stay for us at this brilliant site. The wash block has been done up a bit and one of the showers removed. The site was busy this time, and there was some queueing for showers and washing up.
The honesty shop was open this time, and it's great: you could probably survive on it and not have to leave the site. Don't miss the Wenlock Edge Farm produce. If you need to do laundry there's an excellent launderette in Dawley.
Rita very kindly let us reserve our favourite pitch, which is a terraced one in he middle of the touring field - masses of space and nicely flat, but quite exposed to the two named storms we enjoyed (Ellie and Francis). I wished I'd taken the pegging advice from my own previous review (Oct 2018) when my front canopy hauled all its pegs clean out of the ground and set about flailing the awning. Another family had their front extension rip its deltas out of the ground (it is quite soft here). I'm happy to say more than one set of neighbours mucked in to help try to save their tent - a good bunch of customers here.
Covid security was pretty rudimentary - hand sanitiser and disinfectant sprays at shared touch points - and because it's not constantly rammed down your throat, not everyone adhered strictly.

Nice site. Basic facilities but very clean.
Added bonus of fire pit on your pitch when you arrive. Well stocked honesty shop, inc logs for fire.
Only downside, our pitch wasn’t quite level.
Some good drives out 10 - 15 minutes away.

Great views, pitch & immaculate facilities, direct access to Wenlock ridge for walking.
Stayed as a stop over, will return.
Didn't' use available fire pits but they seemed very popular.

Lovely location with great views and walks from the campsite. Good layout but rather steep which could cause some issues over traction.
Shop with 'honesty' box was a lovely touch.
Additional conveniently placed water taps would be a great benefit, as would additional showers and sanitary accommodation bearing in mind the potential number of occupants on site.

Stunning views. Very hilly. Not very good for the elderly or people with walking difficulties.
Pitches are very large plenty of room. Very clean facilities.
No children with us so can not comment.

Beautiful views, excellent facilities, large pitch, no disturbances from neighbours.
Bit of a trek to the bathrooms but they were plentiful. Dog friendly, no need for leads.
Very quiet when we were there.
