Spent 2 nights here before moving on to the lake district.
Great little site made all the better for allowing camp fires. You can site by your campfire gaze at the surrounding countryside and later study the stars.
Peaceful with great dog walks just off site.
Well placed to visit surrounding areas, we went into Much Wenlock for an afternoon and a great afternoon and a few drinks in the local hostelry.
Be aware of a tight right handed turn to enter the site. No hard standings but the field is well drained.
The toilets and showers were very clean and serviceable.
We would recommend and would return.
Cant comment on facilities for the kids but we felt the site was very reasonably priced

We have just come back from a lovely weekend at this campsite and would go back tomorrow, the view was fantastic although the weather was a bit mixed but didn't spoil our time at all. The owner was really pleasant and the atmosphere is so relaxing and plenty for the kids to do, the area is so pretty and there are plenty of places to visit. We had a lovely tea at reasonable prices at a pub in MuchWenlock and the chip shop was good value.

Probably the perfect campsite for us: beautiful, spacious, basic. Excellent value. All the children and dogs staying there seemed cheerful and well-behaved; probably due in part to the fact that the site's owners are welcoming and relaxed, and their notices practical and helpful rather than joylessly bossy.
Yes, washing up can be a challenge and the showers occasionally a lottery, but who cares?

What a fantastic campsite and excellent value. We were a party of four adults and four children, with two tents and a camper van, price was £23 per night including electric hook up!
The toilets and showers were very basic but I had a shower quite late at night when no one else was using the water and had an excellent hot shower. Other members of our group who attempted showering at the busiest periods did suffer from the freezing or boiling shower as others have mentioned. It could also do with decent dish washing facilities.
Farmer gave my kids a tour of the site, they learnt all about pigs and sheep. Kids also discovered the cows loved licking the wheels of their bikes and were regularly down at the cow shed having a quick wheel clean!
But with out a doubt the most spectacular thing about the site is the amazing views, a 180 degree panorama over the shropshire country side, fantastic star gazing at night, it really was impressive.
We had two wonderful nights sitting around the campfire gazing at the stars it was everything camping should be.
Will definitely be visiting again.

This was a lovely quiet site which suited us perfectly.
There is a big field which is fairly steeply sloped but almost terraced so that the pitches themselves are reasonably flat but you get great views over the valley (including a military helicopter coming and going late one evening in our case, low enough that we felt we should duck!) It is a bit of an effort coming back up from the loo but it's worth it!
Toilets and showers are fairly basic but clean and accessible. There is a lovely little garden next to the farmhouse which we were invited to enjoy, our toddler loved it. There are a few swings and such but they are for bigger children. Our little boy was absolutely fascinated by the donkey which was tied up in the camping field some of the time we were there.
There was a friendly welcome and we were given a free choice of where to pitch as there was only one other unit on site at the time. The whole setup is simple, informal and friendly - not everyone's cup of tea perhaps but we loved it.
The location is a few miles from Much Wenlock (avoid trying to drive through there in busy times, especially if you're towing as the roads are very narrow and winding) and not very much further from Church Stretton (10 minutes drive or so, has a small supermarket and various eateries if you want to eat out) and the Cardingmill Valley. There are lots of day trips available within an hour or so's drive, then come back and chill at your tent and admire the view.
If we ever find ourselves back in this area we'd definitely go back.

Great site new to camping, they bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable. We surprised the kids with a one night stop over clean and tidy site. Campfires permit. Really enjoyed the stay, we will be back, great for us just an hours drive from home. The tent went up first time no drama and down. Working farm offering their own produce and reasonable prices. The kids loved the pigs, piglets and the hens wandering around freely

I took my children on a camping trip during a glorious 4 days, choosing this site because a) it allowed camp fires, b) it was a working farm, c) it had fishing, and d) it had proper toilets and showers.
Well, all these factors were superb except the showers. There were five toilet/shower cubicles, all sort of outdoors-y but clean, yet the power showers just didn't work right. Scalding hot, or freezing cold. We ended up taking a large bucket to the shower, filling it with the alternating temperatures of water, and then sponging off.
That was really the only downside. The customer service was friendly, the grounds were pleasant, the fishing warden was kind and helpful, the farm's own sausages, eggs, bacon, and brilliant pork/apple burgers were delicious and good value. Firewood was £4 which lasted 3 nights.
One of my children thought there were too few other children to play with because it was a small-ish site (and as homeschoolers we were able to go when other children were in school), and if you're not going to make a lot of use of the fishing pond, you might find the little swingset at the top of the hill a bit sparse on the play equipment.
Finally, let me repeat how good it is in terms of value for money. At the time of writing, it's £12 per tent. Bargain! (I'm not allowed to say the value was 10 out of 10 because my daughter was so miffed about the showers)
