Loved it!if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful site with great walks then look no further, this site has it all. Toilet and shower block were clean and tidy, and the farm house sells it's own produce (sausage's were good) you could even have your breakfast cooked to eat in or take away. We walked into Much Wenlock through the woods with some beautiful scenery. There are 3 fishing pools with a small charge to fish. The views of the Shropshire hills are fantastic. Camp fire's allowed a perfect ending to a perfect day. Will most definitely stay here again😊

What a beautiful site! Situated on a working farm, it is on a terraced hill with fabulous views. Has a picturesque fishing pond at the bottom, and closeby walks to Wenlock Edge.
There are a couple of swings and plenty of space for the kids to run around, plus they sell ice lollies at the farm house which got an extra thumbs up from the kids. Several showers and toilets which were clean and tidy, with hot water washing up facilities, really good facilities for a small site. The owners are welcoming, but leave you to it unless you need them. You can have fires and barbeques. They sell delicious home made sausages!
A fabulous quiet and relaxing site, amazing prices, and a warm welcome, we will definitely be going back for more!

We have just returned from our first stay at Lower Hill Camp Site and had such a lovely time that I was inspired to write my very first review (having camped for many years!) The camp site is beautifully located and our pitch was perfect: looking out over the Shropshire countryside and alongside the fishing lake. The owners were very relaxed and unobtrusive, but helpful and friendly when needed (we had to borrow an extension for our electric hook up). The site has been well thought out with very large pitches, low level lighting at night, terracing to maximise views and plenty of toilets and showers for the size of the site. It has a rustic charm and a very relaxed atmosphere. We hope to return many times.

Great campsite on a working family farm. Toilets and showers are basic but fully functional. 3 swings for the children and the views are amazing. Woke up to the sound of guniea fowl and lambs. The children got to stroke the newborns with the owners. The owner made us feel very welcome. Great location for visiting Ironbridge 20 minute drive, with lots of museums and pubs. Glamping pods looked fun but we were in our campervan. We look forward to returning when the weather is better.

I am submitting this review as March 2015 but I have visited this site many times.
Lower Hill camp site has become my most favourite camp site. The site itself has an excellent peaceful atmosphere, created by the owners, the animals and the outstanding view.
There are pods, swings for the children to use, plus it is a working farm, so don't be surprised if you are at the water tap and some chickens potter past you!
The prices are good and you can also buy wood on site to use in the provided fire pits.
The facilities are good and clean. The town of Much Wenlock is also a beautiful place which is approx 4 miles away.

This is an update on the review I left in May.
It was a joy to return to this wonderful site. I am pleased to report there have been some improvements including 2 washing up sinks with running hot water. I was also pleased with the showers which seemed to be much more reliable during this visit. The site was quite full and I didn't wait at all to use the facilities. We had a super time and will return.

Spent 2 nights over a weekend here.
The views are lovely & the owners/workers on site are very friendly & helpful.
The pitches are sloping with some flat ground. If you have a wide tent/ long tent you may find difficult to have a perfect pitch. We only used 1 of our awnings as anyway we tried to pitch we would have ended going up / down hill with some part of the tent, using the 1 was fine as weather was good.
The pitches are large just uneven,
Free fire pits & wood available for a small charge.
Free WIfi & quite a good signal.
Washing up sinks available but they are outside.
Toilets/ showers are quite basic. But kept clean.
The park just consists of 3 swings but plenty of space for kids to play around.
Various farm birds walking around & very chatty at times.
As said this is a working farm so expect animal noises, smells & farm vehicles.
Views are wonderful & the site is very peaceful.
We did have a problem with a lot of flies during the day around & on the tent. But this is not the sites fault just worth a mention.
Overall a very nice little site.

Lovely Site, situated on working farm.
Staff go out of their way to assist you whenever you have a query.
Toilet block whilst small, is suitable for the size of the site and is well looked after kept clean and tidy from am to pm.
Ideally situated to get to Iron bridge / Shrewsbury.
Lovely views over countryside.
Price camping excellent for what you get, no complaints at all.
Would come back to this site again.

I stayed with friends over a very wet bank holiday weekend. The welcome from the owner was warm and the area reserved for us was large and had a fantastic view.
The site is down a very steep lane and then all the pitches are on a hill but most of them are flat. The owner has a tractor and will tow caravans up the hill if it is wet.
The site is fantastic for children. We had lots with us under the age of 7 and they all loved running over to the swings and walking down to see the new calves that had been born that weekend.
There are lots of great things about this site. The best bits are the owner, the free fire pits, the roomy pitches and the view. We will definitely return because we are quite happy with basic needs.
But this site is not a 5* site at all. Be warned - there is no where to wash up. They just supply a few washing up bowls and a cold tap to fill it.
The showers and toilets are really clean but the shower was a total nightmare, it was either freezing cold or boiling hot. When you are staying for 5 nights, this is not ideal! Even filling up a washing up bowl to wash your baby in took a very long time!
I was also not very impressed when a school arrived to camp on the Friday night. Their behaviour was excellent but there was not enough toilets for the amount of kids camping. Luckily they only stopped for one night.
We will return because we like 'rustic' camping, fires and good views. I also feel that lady running this site deserves a medal! She is a visible owner who is always happy to help.

I had to come on and register to leave a review for this lovely campsite. We were the first to use it this year so we had the place to ourselves. The owners are so helpful and friendly and gave us a great welcome. We had a few problems with our van and they couldn't do enough to help us especially as this was our first time caravanning.
The toilets and showers were clean and tidy.
It's a working farm so there were chickens, guinea fowl, and turkey's wandering around and lots of lovely farmyard activity. Also some very friendly and sweet dogs.
Leaving the best bit till last, the views are amazing!, we sat outside with wine and cheese and although we bought some firewood from the owners for our fire pit, we didn't have a fire as it was too warm.
We are already planning a second visit.
10/10 for us
