Budget campsite, with basic but clean facilities and friendly owners.
Short drive from St Ives so an ideal location to access beaches.
No issues at all.

Very sorry to leave. We had a lovely stay
Phil the owner is a real character and pleasant and helpful.
Basic site but toilets and showers clean and plenty hot water.
Could do with another washing machine and dryer.
Also had a van on site for breakfast rolls which were delicious.
No noise at night.
Will definitely be back !

Lovely family friendly camping with good, clean facilities. There is everything you need to enjoy your holidays.
Lovely beach around 20 min down the hill; buses and train to St Ives and coastal walks to be stunned by the beauty of Cornwall.
Communal fridges are great and made our life much easier (no liquid butter 😉)
Easy access to the shops- TESCO just 5min by car.
We will definitely be back.

Good location, short walk to Carbis bay and short drive to st Ives.
Shower and toilet facilities all kept clean, washer and dryer also available if needed, needing coins to use the machines.
Great price and would visit again.

2nd time we have been to Mount Douglas camping. Phil and Sandy give a warm welcome.
Very laid back site. Perfect location to explore. Porth Kidney great for dogs anytime and Carbis Bay from September.
Site facilities clean and adequate.

Excellent site and close to carbis beach and st Ives, charging points for phones etc and communal fridges/freezers we had absolutely no problem with using these at all, great service from Phil on site who was always happy to help 😀
Hot and clean showers too.
Washer on site but never used so can’t recommend this.
Logs and fire pits can also be hired at a small cost, kids loved the horses in the next field too.
We walked to carbis bay in about 20 minutes and walked to st Ives I’m about 45/50 minutes.
We also drove to sennon beach and lands end which took about an hour in car.
Excellent stay will definitely return again.

We arrived and had to wait for the owner to come onto site - he arrived within 10 minutes showed us to put pitch and let us be.
Perfect location for walking into Carbis Bay where you can catch the train into St Ives or visit the beach.
Chip shop and tapas restaurant along with a Co-op within walking distance.
If you don’t fancy the train get Ace taxis into St Ives £8 for 4 people.
Bargain campsite, good showers, communal fridge/freezers and a perfect location. We will be back!

Mount Douglas is a gorgeous campsite. It’s very basic in the way it hasn’t got a lot to do on site, but that was the beauty for us. Shower cubicles were lovely and clean. As were the separate bathrooms. A place for you to charge phones alongside huge fridges to store your food and a large freezer as well.
You can rent a log/fire pit for £10 and Phil came round with extra logs during the week for you which was a lovely touch.
Carbis Bay Beach - which is absolutely STUNNING is only a 15/20 min walk away. It’s breathtaking.
St. Ives is a 10 min car ride away (if that even). Taxis will meet you at the campsite easy enough and take you in (as you can’t park in St. Ives). To walk it would be a good 40 or so minutes I’d say. And bare in mind it’s pretty much up hill on your way home.
Sandy and Phil were lovely hosts.
The site is well kept and maintained.
Lots of social distance between tents / pitches. We spent a week between 25th-1st August. Would definitely recommend.
The only slight downside would be if you have small children there isn’t anything on site for them to do. Other than entertain themselves - but sometimes that’s the beauty with camping life.
