Had 3 nights on this site, wish it was more. The owner is a great chap very friendly and helpful. We had booked but the owner bless him not got his bookings in order, but he sorted us out. There is showers and toilets on site basic but clean. The site has a proper holiday feeling about it, laid back site and owner and good prices. Short walk to the beach and train to St ives. Hope to be back next year.

An excellent site representing great value for money. A relaxed atmosphere managed by the owner who lets you arrive, pitch up then rolls up at some point to collect your money. No fixed departure time either which is fabulous as you can squeeze in an extra days holiday. One evening of noise was quickly dealt with by owner who lives in the farmhouse and appeared to be on 24 hour call if needed.
We had EHU but fridges, freezer and a microwave plus sockets to charge various items were all available and well used. The toilet/shower and washing up facilities were a little tired but the cubicles and sinks etc were kept clean and well stocked. The showers were piping hot at whatever time of day or night you used them and you got a decent time for each press of the button (I hate it when you have to press it every 20 seconds).
The location is outstanding - peaceful - but within 15 minutes walk of Carbis Bay (Dog not allowed) with a lovely beach bar and train station to St Ives and Penzance and 40 minutes walk of Porthkidney Sands (Dogs Allowed) - a most peaceful and tranquil spot and fabulous start to the day walking the dog. A bus to St Ives is 5 minutes walk away (pricey - but so is parking in St Ives) - and it allows you to take in the sights of the town - visit the Castle Inn if you like Real Ale - I did several times. You can walk to St Ives along the coastal path (about 2 miles) but a bit scarey after the Real Ale!
All in all - basic, clean, relaxed and great value - we'll be back.

We have just had 10 lovely days here. Its lovely, the people are lovely, phil the farmer is a cool guy. The site is right in the middle of everything more or less. Some beautiful beaches - be sure to visit sennen cove and porth courno. Sennen cove has no jelly fish and big waves for surfing
For 6 quid a night you cant complain! The showers work, the toilets are clean, the washing machine works. There's a laundrette in St Ives anyway if you prefer

We stayed on this site for a week, it's what I call a campsite.
The site is basically one field with the top end for hook ups and the rest for your hardy campers.
We had a hook up and were nice and close to the toilet block, the toilets are clean and functional as are the showers, plenty of hot water and I was always able to get a shower when I needed too.
There is also a communal fridge and freezer and a washing washing machine for a £1(bargain). Good washing up facilities and you can even have a camp fire.
Dogs are welcome at no extra charge and very few rules apart from keeping them on a lead and clean up after them. There is also a beach nearby wher you can take your dogs.
This site is handy for St Ives and thers a bus service just outside the site.
Phil the owner is a top bloke, very friendly and very helpful, we will definitely use this site again when visiting east Cornwall again, if you're into camping this is what it's all about

This is a cheap option for the St Ives area. The site was very quiet with only 8 other tents in a large field. £9 for an adult and child with no car. Field slopes so larger tents may have some difficulty finding a decent spot.
Lots of flies/bugs in the shower/toilet block because of door being wedged open at night with the lights on. Not too clean, but for the price it didn't bother me.
Plenty of sockets to charge mobiles and a fridge available.
The farmer was very friendly and funny. Apparently there is a bus that goes to St Ives but we didn't use it. Carbis Bay train station/beach is approx 20 minute walk. Taxi back from St Ives at night was £6.

This is my 3rd year of staying on this campsite, 8 of us went 4 adults 4 children age range 2-12.
We had a campervan and tent between us, using hook up. Its very friendly and kept clean and tidy, the power showers and toilets are fab, washing up facilities are spacious, also fridge freezer microwave and wash machine.
Phil the owner is very helpful in knowing the area and can always point you in the right direction, there is a bus service just outside the gate hourly til 11pm to and from st ives.
There is also Playzone giant slides and shoots, with bar and serves food, open daily for all ages, 10 min walk from site. There is also a costcutters close by, seems to sell everything we've needed inc gas, and has a post office.
I have taken my dog in previous years, there are loads of walks and the beach which you can take the dog on all year round so he can have a swim.
Kids love making open fires, and toasting marshmallows. We love this campsite and will hopefully be returning.
