The stunning beach is 15 minutes arduous walk down a worn out track not suitable for pushchairs. Site is very steep but with incredible views.
You'll need rock pegs for awnings on hard standing pitches though these are sold on site in the well equipped shop. The ladies showers/toilets were not clean but the water was hot and water pressure was decent.
The pool was cloudy and not at all inviting and you have to go through the arcades to get to the small outside pool. This is an expensive site for the level of facilities but it is quiet and the grounds are very clean.
The playground is for small toddlers only and the football pitch is in a bit of a state.
Woolacombe is a beautiful sea side village with a cracking beach but it's not enough to make us want to stay at this site again.

The location of this site is great. 15 minutes walk away from the award winning Woolacombe Beach, but if you don't fancy the walk, there are car parks next to the beach costing £7 or £8 a day. We paid this as carrying all our stuff for 15 minutes there, and 15 minutes back didn't appeal.
You won't fail to notice as you pull into the site that it is set on the side of a hill. So manoeuvring you caravan will well and truly test your clutch control and hill starts!
Pitches are terraced, so the view of Woolacombe is great. Some pitches are quite tricky to get onto but with the wife at the controls of the motor mover all I had to do was sit back, relax and hope for the best.
The site offered wifi, but at £3. 75 a day, I thought this was quite expensive so I didn't bother.
The site had 2 pool, a clubhouse and shop but we didn't used any so can't comment about these
There is loads for all the family to do in the local area, one of our favourites (apart from Woolacombe Beach) was the Cliff Top Railway at Lynton, about 30 mins drive away.
To improve the campsite, the toilets and showers really need refurbishing. Some are pretty grotty. The showers could do with more than one hook to hang clothes on and a bench would be handy. The cheap plastic shower curtains are useless, don't bother with them. In the whole time we stayed, I didn't find anywhere to dispose of grey water, luckily there was an unused multi serviced pitch so I used theirs.
We will certainly return to Woolacombe, but we'll probably find another campsite.

This is a good site with all the facilities you'll need for a family holiday. Fantastic views of sea and countryside. The walk down to the beach is not too steep but as it had rained heavily it was a bit slippery and muddy.
Club house was nice but a bit loud for us, you had to be there very early to get a seat we used the indoor pool a lot it was never too busy and my son really enjoyed it.
The site shop was excellent but a little pricey. One of our reasons for choosing this site was its dog friendly attitude but there were only 2 dog waste bins both involving negotiating a very step climb and although dogs were aloud in the club it was far too loud and most dogs in there looked very stressed.
They had 2 terraces smoking and non smoking but dogs were only allowed on the smoking one ?as non smokers it meant we only stayed for one drink while our son was in the arcade then left.
The sites biggest let down are the roads away from the complex area they're very pot holed and a serious trip hazard.
Overall though it's a good site ideal for young families and beach lovers.

A picturesque site with good facilities, but very exposed to the weather. The site is terraced, with pitches on various levels down the side of a valley.
We were on the top level, just below street-level, and during our stay we had some very high winds that gave us a real battering.
Things are probably much easier further down. The area, including within the site itself, is very hilly, and I would not recommend it for anyone who has difficulty with walking up very steep hills.
For young, fit people it is probably fine, and the views of the surrounding area and the sea are stunning. There is a walk from the site directly to the beach, but we decided not to try it as the 'walk' back would be more like a climb for us, being a retired couple.
Kids would probably love it though. There is an excellent club-house on-site with good nightly entertainment, and there are two swimming pools.

Woolacombe is a lovely location only a short journey from where we live, we choose this site because of the time of year and the entertainment they offer the kids.
For us the pitches are too small we have a vango taiga 600xl airbeam and it only just fitted on the pitch, we couldn't peg the back guy ropes down correctly and we couldn't put the extension on the side of the tent because there would of been no room to park the car. Very cramped pitches they could do with holding the pitch quantities to double the sizes.
It was a costly campsite but we understand the reasons why. The pools for one, well maintained and clean. The kids swam in the outdoor pool on April, who would of though it that time of year.
The entertainment for them was also good and the entertainment staff were brill. Lots of toilet and shower blocks though out the park, some were better outfitted than others but all were clean.
On site shop was well stocked and a bit pricy as was the club house bar. The location of the campsite was also brill a short walk to the beach, restaurants and pubs and there's plenty of places to explore from there in the car

I couldn't rate this site enough. The facilities always clean, bins emptied regularly, the overall site was very clean and tidy. Staff just couldn't do enough for you with the entertainment and food excellent. Footpath to the beach and Woolacombe was great although a bit tricky in places for a buggy (but not inaccessible. We will be visiting again next year without a doubt. ! Crazy golf, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, on site shop (which sold almost everything!), children's play area, the list goes on. ! I would say that the only negative thing was it is a very steep site in parts but the staff were always on hand to lend a hand with anyone who was struggling.
THANK YOU WOOLACOMBE SANDS.

This was our second visit to this site (We were here early September 2013). This is a lovely site which I didn't want to leave. The facilities were excellent. We had a super pitch which included your own tap and drainage as well as EHU and an aerial socket. We were on Avenue 2 (we requested this but did not pay the extra fee to get this) with the online booking discount it was just over £15 p/n which is very reasonable. We were mid way between two toilet blocks. I tended to use the slightly older block as it was hardly ever used by anyone else. The showers were very powerful and always hot my only criticism was that the hand dryers did not work. The food in the bar was typical pub food (Lasagna, pie and chips etc) and was quite nice - we only ate there once though. It is a 15 - 20 minute walk into Woolacombe which is lovely, and the beach is beautiful. On our last trip we visited the Electric Bar as they do a Curry night on Wednesdays - all you can eat for about £9! We will definitely be returning.

We had a 3 night stay here for our Spring break, and were very impressed. We don't usually go in for proper holiday parks - we're more your farm/ pub type of people - but we made an exception as I fancied trying somewhere with a pool.
The site is pretty big, and the pitches are huge. Obviously a lot of though had gone into pitch allocation, as we had a good gap between us and the next occupied pitch.
At £18 a night for a grass pitch with EHU, I thought this was pretty good value (seeing as we had been somewhere the night before and paid £17 for a place with a dodgy shower and dirty toilets and no EHU!). There are plenty of spacious and clean toilets and showers, an indoor and outdoor pool, club house, site shop, etc. The launderette was a bit pricey.
Only a 15 minute walk to the beach, where there are a few bars and restaurants as well as holiday shops. Woolacombe beach is great for sunbathing in the shelter of the cliff, and for rockpooling. You can get the bus back up the hill if you don't fancy the walk.
Really quiet at night, designated dog walking area, friendly staff - just brilliant.

Over all I would say that this site is Ok.
Pros:
The views are superb and the staff were very friendly and helpful
Close to the town and beach
Pool very good (showers in the pool area were rubbish)
Kids adored Woolly Bear and the evening entertainment.
Cons:
Brand new toilet block was always shut at 8am just as you wanted to get up and use them.
Even after they had supposedly been clean, they were filthy and needed to be mopped before we could use them. Only one mop was in the washup area, so we had to queue for that as well!
Showers in the pool area were even worse, barely more than a warm dribble.
Pitch size was very small. We had a super size pitch and only just fitted our 5x5m tent and couldn't peg out the front guys.
Definitely could be a fabulous site, but it does need some updating. The toilet block also needs to be kept much cleaner. They only appeared to be hosed down and not scrubbed. Shame really as it spoilt what would otherwise have been a really good site.

All round an okay site. We did stay out of child season so I can see the mood of the place changing.
The staff were friendly and helpful
Pitches were okay sized and the terracing really helps give you a really nice view across the valley. This is definitely the closest into town.
The walk to the beach is around 15 minutes but very bumpy and tough with a buggy. However well worth it when you get down to the gorgeous beach
The club house is a bit dated and the beer is expensive but the little one loved it and the pool is really good.
The toilets and showers were okay but a little tired and not overly clean (and this was during a quiet time) We had to clean the baby room ourselves before using it.
Overall for a reasonable price and the closest site to the beach it is definitely worth a visit
