Cannot rate this site highly enough, have been a few times now and would recommend it for both families, couples or people looking for a base for a few days surfing. Toilet blocks and shower facilities were plentiful and super clean, shop was well stocked and not badly priced. There are indoor and outdoor pools, a kids club, arcade and club house. The camping pitches were lovely and flat and well maintained and there is a great little footpath into the town that takes about 15mins. Love it here

We visited this lovely site in June of this year and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The toilet blocks were always clean and we never had to wait for a shower.
The site is in a wonderful location over looking the town of Woolacombe, although it is a bit open to the elements as it faces the coast. There was a nice path to walk down to the town to avoid the expensive parking charges.
The entertainment at night was very good, with something for everyone. Kids clubs and then later some fun acts for the parents.
Staff were always very friendly and helpful.

Booked a Sun Holiday and stayed in a basic static for 4 nights at this park. The park is relatively small and a bit tired generally and could do with a bit of TLC compared to Haven and Park Dean parks.
The views as you arrive at reception are amazing and breathtaking.
The receptionists allowed us to check in early and they have a good system of red and green cards where they give you the key for the unit and if the card in the window is green then you can enter and if red then you can't.
We were a bit disappointed with our static although we knew it would be basic, we had been spoilt with lovely up-to-date statics from the big players like Haven and Park Dean.
The fixtures and fittings had seen better days and where new fixtures had been added because others were broken, the broken ones had not been removed.
Our van had two fire alarms one in the kitchen and one in the lounge. We informed the park that the kitchen one was not working, they came straight away whilst we were in the pool but they could not get it working so threw it in the bin but didn't replace it!
We found that the worktops were dirty and there were dirty mugs and saucepans so we had to wash up every bit of crockery, cutlery etc and wash down all the surfaces to make sure everything was clean. The TV tube was going and everyone looked purple at the top of the screen!
On the plus side we had a microwave and the beds were comfortable and we had a sea view from the lounge door.
The shop sold everything we needed and was reasonably priced.
The indoor pool was clean (the outdoor pool shut) and the changing rooms were also clean but none of the locks on the changing room doors actually worked in the ladies and the shower button had to be constantly pushed to get water, not easy when trying to wash longish hair with one hand!
There is no lifeguard so children under 18 must be accompanied and also you can't have any inflatables so its a bit boring for kids.
The entertainment was good and the parkstars were really good with the kids. They also have the usual bingo and disco and cabaret.
My boy loved the arcade and it was just the right size for him and not too large. The bar was expensive. It cost £5. 05 for one Beer, a coke and a squash!
Although I have probably gone on about the negatives, it was a nice park, its just that it felt a little tired and the static let it down for us, but I would definitely stay at one of the other sister parks in the area, as there are lots of attractions nearby for kids such as Quince honey farm (they were giving out 25% off vouchers for Exmoor zoo when we came here) and watermouth castle. which is expensive but worth every penny as it is bonkers and good fun for adults and kids!.
We also visited the Fortescue Hotel Inn on the main road into Woolacombe and found the carvery was lovely even though the restaurant was a bit devoid of character!
If you are into walking, there are numerous footpaths all around woolacombe, most with amazing views.
There is a bus service from reception that takes you to the other sister parks of which you can use their facilities. Golden coast is the largest, we visited as we thought the pool would be bigger and better but it was the same. They did have bowling at Golden Coast though, it was £5.50 per game per adult.
All in all, the location was amazing but would not return to this particular park.

This is a lovely campsite, we camped in 'The Pond' field which was at the very bottom of the site, providing larger areas for family sized tents, we were the only tent there for a couple of the nights. Showers and toilets were extremely clean, although the mens showers run too hot for our children at times.
There's no charge for these. It's very dark down there on a night so take your torches for the walk to the toilet block!
I thought initially that for camping it seemed expensive however the facilities at this site justify the price. Indoor and outdoor pool, crazy golf and park for the little ones.
The entertainment on an evening was good, and the food in the club had something for everyone - good value for the kids meals. Adult meals quite expensive, but large portions! They also served breakfasts which would fill you up for the whole day!
The walk down to the beach took about 20 minutes with a 6 and 8 year old.
I'd recommend Fudgies bakers in woolacombe for their freshly made baguettes - nicer than the vans on the beach.
Prices in the shop were reasonable and they had a freezer in there for your ice packs.
Staff were really friendly and helpful - a great place for a family holiday.

Well this has to be one of the best sites we've stayed at, and a week wasn't enough really.
The site is terraced on the side of a hill and our pitch was on the top terrace where the view out over the bay to Lundy was awesome.
The site was clean and tidy, the bins were emptied daily and the toilet/shower blocks were clean although some of the showers were missing diffusers on the shower heads, the water coming out at such a pace that it felt like I'd been ambushed by the gaviscon fireman.
Electric hookups were reliable too and there were plenty of water points. The camp was very quiet during our stay, hardly any night-time noise at all.
The dog walking field was excellent and is a nice walk even if you don't have a dog with plenty of fruit trees and lots of wildlife.
The site shop had hot food, but there is a Spar just up the road in the petrol station that does takeaway food, pizzas, burgers etc and very reasonable, they even stock a few camping odds and ends.
The clubhouse was nice, with good entertainment even if the prices for the drinks were a bit steep (£10. 00 for a lager, a glass of wine and two cokes)and the indoor swimming pool was again excellent. There was also an outdoor pool but I never got to see it.
Woolacombe is a 20 minute walk along a scenic footpath, and it's best to walk because the parking is £7. 00 per day (Car parks were always full so some were willing to be extorted) although the price drops to £3. 00 from about 4pm. There is some metered parking on the esplanade at £1. 00 per hour which for short stays is a good alternative.
The beach is well worth the walk though. If you like surfing this is the place to be, but the kids are safe with plenty of lifeguards around.
Ilfracome is a short drive away and is a good day out, there was an outdoor market on Monday just up the road, and we drove into Braunton and hired some bikes and cycled along the Taw estuary to Barnstaple which I can highly recommend.
Visit Lee Bay for some spectacular views. One week wasn't enough so we're going to break with tradition and go again next year, there are still some bays and coves that we didn't get around to exploring.
In summary, anyone wanting to stay here won't be disappointed at all, plenty to see and do for all the family, and dog friendly too which is always a bonus for us. Highly recommended.

Our forth visit to this park because the view from the upper terraces is to die for.
Its easy to walk to the beach from here, return journey is a bit steep, but it saves £'s on car parking.
I love North Devon so am biased about the area, but everyone should try it once.
Good site for families with 2 pools, children's and adults entertainment, bar abd restaurant. Fully stocked if pricey shop with freshly baked breakfast items.
Ample clean showers and toilets, have never queued to use them. Beware the water pressure in the showers--its pretty fierce.
Don't pay for Wi-Fi--its aimed at the static caravans and does not work in any touring units.
Very very windy area, make sure you bring plenty of rock pegs.

We have camped at Woolacombe Sands for many years. It is the closest site to the fantastic 2-mile long beach: an easy 15min walk down (but steep in one place on the way back) avoiding long queues for parking (£6.50/day), and you go past the cashpoint in the village!
If the weather's fine, the beach can keep you occupied all week: excellent surfing; superb sand for castle building; rocks for climbing or rock-pooling; acres of space for cricket when the tides out and all surrounded by beautiful unspoilt Devon countryside in which you can ramble or cycle for miles. (Or you can just sunbathe.)
There's an excellent fresh pastie/baguette shop, which also sells local fudge. The village 'supermarket' is adequate (except for meat), but you probably want to stock-up in Ilfracombe. The village store in Mortehoe does a good range of (local) bottled real ale, cider and scrumpy.
Woolacombe Sands: For the past five or six years we have camped in the Bottom Meadow - all grass pitches with EHU either side of a compacted slate/earth access road down the middle and a very high, bushy bank on the 'camp' side.
It's beautifully secluded - you can hear the stream running just below you, little owls in the woods alongside and sheep on the other side of the valley. It's far enough from the club that you can ignore it if you wish, but close enough to the site shop to buy fresh croissants for breakfast (provided you can manage the 1-in-4 hill at that time of the morning!)
The BM loo block is clean, but very basic, draughty and very old - every year they upgrade the site further, but still haven't done this block yet - however, climb the steps behind to the next terrace and there's a new-ish block with good loos, plenty of hot showers, and several indoor washing up sinks.
There are other grass pitches further up the valley, even more secluded, plus a few small overnight pitches. The terrace above the BM - near the path to the beach, and where we used to camp - has been converted to gravel pitches (which look very uncomfortable for a tent but seem ideal for a motor home).
There are lots more facilities (see the other reviews) including an increasing number of recycling bins. Booking is easy and the staff are friendly. Prices are a bit steep in peak season, and if you rarely visit the club (as we don't) then you're paying for stuff you're not using, but as other reviews have noted, the club is very useful to occupy the kids in the evenings.
Overall, would thoroughly recommend a stay in this remote corner of England; and Woolacombe Sands as a camp site.

Arrived here after a week at the most fantastic campsite in Cornwall. Had a pitch on the bottom meadow which was a nice large pitch, but alas no sea views. My main gripe is that the toilet and shower facilities on this field are old, dirty and desperately in need of some attention. In 7 days I did not once see them closed for cleaning and the state of the showers in the afternoon was appalling.
We paid a lot of money for this site, £70 for 2 dogs as well but there was not a single dog bin on site that I came across.
The entertainment is good if you enjoy that kind of thing, the food is good and the swimming pools are very good, entertainment for the kids is also very good.
We booked this site purely for the close proximity to the beach, a 15 minute gentle walk, but was sadly disappointed by the poor facilities.

This place is so well located for Woolacombe bay. The views are stunning. The site is tiered taking advantage of the natural landscape and although it can be a bit of a climb its all well worth it.
The facilities are ideal if you like a smaller site, Woolly bear entertains the smaller children while mum and dad can have a drink and relax. We found the food to be good value for money and plenty of choice but there are plenty of places around to eat off site or cater for yourselves in the well equipped caravans.
The cash bingo is fun and the evening entertainment is varied and makes you feel you've had a good night out.
Having been to this site last year and this, you can see they are improving the facilities all the time. New changing facilities and showers in the swimming pool this year to name but one. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
We're definitely returning and I can strongly recommend Woolacombe Sands to anyone.

On arrival we were checked in efficiently, seemed all papers were laid out on a morning so no waiting around. Given a map and showed directions where to pitch.
This site is terraced, out pitch on avenue 9 was just big enough for our Montana6 and transit van. Yes we could have pitched tent the other way but the van would have had to stay the same and we may have took up out allocated space.
I felt as we were on avenues we were to close to neighbours walking past our tent to get to there units, especially after the club closed! The site have got gravel down so this kicks up a lot of dust when the cars are driving to their pitch. Also its very slopped and if the loos are on another tier to you get ready to walk up and down a sharp incline.
We were on one of the top tiers and had a lovely view, I have a feeling we could have been put in the bottom meadow but may have been water logged as its by a pond and as the site is tiered this may get worse in bad weather.
Disabled facilities in toilets good, but I doubt wheelchair users could use unless they informed site first and were allocated a appropriate pitch. Most shower blocks are brand new, shower cubicles small and water pressure like a cannon, presstex taps that last 30 seconds. Laundry and wash up facilities attached to toilet blocks.
Shop on site expensive, does do light breakfast snacks and hot drinks too. Club ok and lots of other bits to do on site.
Walk to beach is possible in about 30 minutes through riding stables and more inclines.
Woolacombe beach is beautiful flat and life guarded.Parking is £4.50 all day.
Parking in all this area is high, all around the £3 mark if you want to enjoy places. Ilfracombe lovely but not much of a beach.
This site has too many avenues of statics and not enough grass to be a nice campsite, I have a feeling in years it will phase out tents.
