Gem of a site. There was nothing to dislike. 100% recommend. Showers and toilets kept very clean the site itself is very well maintained by the owner. Lovely views and very peaceful.
There is a train track near by but didn’t cause that much noise, not a real busy line. Walks off the site into Shaftesbury are off road however dog owners beware a lot of the stiles and gates you come across have been fenced or locked by the farmers so you have to lift your dog over also in some cases electric fencing blocks the stile and some of the footpath signs have been removed so may end up going off course.
However Walk into Semley village was good though with access through fields easier. Recommend the Bennet arms good beer and food and Semley village shop that offers coffee, sandwiches and cakes etc.
Recommend the walk around the oyster coppice near Semley village especially in May with the bluebells and wild garlic in bloom.
Will definitely be returning in the very near future.

Lovely little site in the countryside, with views over the surrounding fields with sheep, horses and occasionally deer. Spotlessly clean and very neat and tidy. There is a Caravan Club CL at the far end, in addition to the farm site. It wasn’t busy when we stayed and Graham was very relaxed about where we set up, and suggested the best pitch for the view as we were reversing in (without a motor mover).
It was lovely to have two proper shower rooms (although there are also a few shower/toilet cubicles in a separate room), and no cobwebs! There is a good recycling area with separate bins for glass, plastics etc, and a clean loo waste disposal area. Also a room with washing machine (at cost) and kettles. There is normally Wi-Fi, but something had gnawed through the cable so it wasn’t working when we stayed. Good tv signal.
Hard standing pitches are fully serviced. Might need long pipes for grey waste to the drain and for fresh water to connect directly from the tap.
Very dark at night so I’m sure it would be a great place for stargazing on a cloudless night! Take a torch if you plan to walk to the loos!
There was a little noise occasionally from the nearby railway line, but the trains were small and were gone almost as soon as we heard them so didn’t bother us. I suspect that the noise might be blocked slightly when all the leaves are on the trees and bushes.
Site is 4-5 mins drive from Shaftesbury. There are Tesco and Lidl supermarkets, plus petrol stations and various fast food takeaways on the way into the town.
The Benett Arms at Semley is only a few mins drive from the site - we had some tasty cheese and pickle ciabatta rolls with a dressed salad and proper chips one lunchtime - and they are open on Mondays.
The Half Moon Inn on the far side of Shaftesbury allows dogs (and even provides them with a water bowl!) and serves decent food with a varied menu.
A little further away (25 mins drive), the Barford Inn at Barford St Martin served delicious food in spotless surroundings.
Within reach of Salisbury, Stourhead NT, Fleet Air Arm Museum, Bath, Stonehenge, Haynes Motor Museum and Bradford on Avon for days out.

Great little site, CL is at the far end of the site and a fair way from the excellent facilities but with all of them being fully serviced pitches not a problem.
Graham was very helpful and likes to make sure everyone is happy.
There is a railway fairly close by and the trains do roar past at a fair old rate so pass quickly and the last train is probably around 11 in the evening so sleep not disturbed.

Welcoming couple to this lovely rural site with nearby sheep keeping us company!
Large plots with water tap next to it and plenty of space to wander our two dogs.
Very large shower/toilet rooms, utility room with kettle.
Perfect stay for two nights. Thank you

Our second visit and now has to be our favourite site.
Very warm welcome from Graham the owner.
This site is so wonderful and peaceful I really don’t want to give a review so nobody else finds out about this truly amazing site.
But this site and its owner have created a perfect location and deserve a good review
Free WiFi, amazing spotless toilets, showers etc, dog walking area, washing machines.
Every pitch is a service pitch!
5 minutes to Shaftesbury by car
Lots of local country pubs and restaurants 10/20 minutes car ride from site (ask Graham)
We will definitely be back

Very helpful, informative and warm welcome.
Toilets and showers particularly impressive, spotlessly clean, newly refurbished.
Relaxing atmosphere, stunning views
The nearby railway line caused little disturbance
We hope to come back

Great site - lovely views - plenty of walking opportunities.
The facilities are excellent with plenty of room and immaculately clean.
The showers are unisex wet rooms and recently completed. Despite the terrible weather, we have had a great time!
As previously mentioned there is a train line running past the site but it is not intrusive.
