Great facilities and friendly owner.
Would recommend for a short or long stay.
Secure site and well thought out Covid policy for toilet and showers.
Pitch was fully serviced including TV point.

Very well planned small adult only site with hard standing with fully serviced pitch in a beautiful setting of fields of sheep.
The owners are very helpful and facilities are very clean. The main line railways is near this site but the train noise does not bother us.
Dog walking area is small but near fields and local walks.

Lovely site, we had a most enjoyable week here. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked to return next year.
The facilities are limited but spotlessly clean. The major limitation being the rearrangement needed to make them safe against Covid 19 so really this cannot be described as a negative.
Just book & go it's a great little site.

Superb small site with everything going for it. Pitches perfect, level and well laid out. Very friendly owners.
Very good for dog walking because the dog walking area leads on to public footpath which will take you for miles across country if you want to.
Don't miss Compton McRae's Larder at the village on the opposite side of the A350. Superb food!

NO laundrette, as stated. If you don’t mind trains nearby then this is a gem of a site. 1. 5 mile walk across the fields to Shaftesbury, large supermarket if needed. Nearby road did not bother us, lots of birdsong.
Toilet and showers are kept spotless, lovely warm welcome. TV reception was supposed to be good, it we had to use our briefcase size satellite dish and got tons of channels. Three pitches said TV reception was poor or non existent. Don’t put too much on electric wise as they may blow - which our kettle did.

A great adult only campsite on the outskirts of Shaftesbury. The owner Graham were extremely helpful and friendly. The facilities were very clean. The views from the site are lovely as you can pitch facing the fields. Great to have a fully serviced pitch for the price excellent value for a CL. Site secure. Good dog walk

We spent three days at the site. If you look at the map you might be worried by traffic noise from the main road going past the site. Don't be, the actual camping field is down a lane and at the back end of the farm and is very quiet. The railway running alongside is not intrusive as the trains are infrequent.
To echo previous reviews the site is in excellent order. The reason is the the owners. Graham is very much a hands on owner and one who care about his site and about his guests.
Our dog enjoyed the site and it's relexed attitude plus the dog walking areas and many footpaths coming off the site. We walked across fields to the two local villages, both of which boast pubs on their outskirts.
Overall experience is that it is one of the best sites we have visited and we aim to return again in the future.
