Stayed here before, 2 Easters ago. Nothing's changed. PROS: Nice long Sandy Beach just over the road,
The clubhouse Facilities are fantastic, Restaurant has good choice menu and not too expensive, Amusements, Fair size shop/minimarket, Entertainment was great for all ages as you'd expect from Park resorts, Great indoor swimming pool, staff friendly, Camp site washing etc facilities good but not fantastic.
CONS: Bar prices very high, Camp site very uneven and worn out, most of the electric point were leaning over, lots of pot holes, Only two water tap point, one of which was sooo slow I used the Fire Hydrant nearby to fill my water Butt up, as this was much quicker.
o organised pitches just pitch where your able, even as previous post have mentioned you pitch on top of your neighbour. The Main road can get quite noisy due to most motor cyclist opening up their machines as they come off the bend just outside the front gate.
We only use this site cos we take our Grandson away for Easter and this site has everything he'd need to keep him occupied.

Well I really don't know where to start. I have stayed on some basic sites but for £30 per night I would expect more. The pool complex was ok but they charge you for lockers £1 and you don't get it back.
The touring field is like a poor man's relation compared to the rest of the site. The pitches are 6m x 6m and between you and the neighbouring pitch is a gap less than 60cm then they give you a leaflet telling you for safety you must be at least 6m from your neighbour.
How ! ! ! When the pitches are small can you do this. We arrived home from a visit to Rye to find a trailer tent pitched behind us so close I could hardly get to my waste water to empty it. The EHU bollards were in no relation to the pitches and wires were all over the road and pitches trying to hook up.
They do accept tents and some were huge taking up much more than their own pitch. The Warden didn't see to give a flying fig and there was another group behind us with huge tents a trailer tent and gazebos just pitched however they wanted no safety or consideration for what would happen in a fire.
The other campers / caravanners seemed to think everyone on site wanted to listen to the music and compete with each other on who could be the loudest the worst being a man near the toilet block who opened his car doors and turned the volume up full blast so the people he was with could dance round like lunatics behind their windbreaks in their onesies.
The showers were relatively clean however even though it was not push button they tended to go off whilst in use them come on again spitting boiling water or cold water all over you. The taps in the toilet also kept jamming on and with the plug still in the sink would then overflow hot water all over the floor very unpleasant and dangerous. When mentioned to a staff member was told someone would look at it in the morning so they are happy for the hot water to be running full on all night.
The town of Rye is close by and was lovely. Hastings was also close and made a good day out.
I would never return to this campsite I think the touring fields are appalling

My daughter wanted to use my touring caravan for a few days and Camber was the ideal place for her as it has an indoor swimming pool, good club, cheap meals in the restaurant, shop and takeaway on site, with the beach just over the road.
I dropped it off on a Wednesday and was going to pick it up Friday, but thought as its on site I would use it Friday to Sunday,
Last year I said I would not use this site again, as there is no control on where people pitch their tents and caravans,
When I arrived Wednesday there were only 4 caravans on site, I sited my caravan near the shower and toilets which have 2 showers in the men’s and woman’s and were clean.
When I arrived Friday afternoon on one side of my caravan was another caravan just a few feet away, on the other side was a large tent very close to my caravan.
On the Saturday morning the tent packed up and went home, we went out for the day and when we returned to the site there were 4 tents position to the side and back of my caravan, the tents to the side were so close their tent guide lines were pegged under my caravan.
The facilities on site are excellent, but the site is badly let down with no control on where people site their tents, caravans and motorhomes.
I like this site as it’s central to Hastings and Folkestone but I'm not prepared to put up with the bad or no organisation in the siting of units, until there is more organisation I will not be returning to Camber.

Stayed here again for another weekend break - as usual had a well needed break and a great laugh
Weather unfortunately was not going in our favour and was extremely windy, but never let it ruin our weekend
The site was pretty packed on this weekend, which is the first of our visits that we have experienced the touring area so busy. Unfortunately due to this the toilet/shower blocks were not cleaned as often as they really needed. On the morning of our departure they were so bad that we both decided to wait until we got home to freshen up instead. Sinks blocked with tissues, toilet paper shortage, no soap and general mess
This is the first time that we have experienced such a problem as this, if it is normal for when it gets busy I cant say.
Even with this we will still use the site again as it is a perfect place for a short weekend break for us
If you have not been in the area before Rye is a must for a visit - very pretty
The beach is just perfect miles and miles of sand
Staff as usual are very friendly and helpful
The scores that I have given this time to the site are purely down to it not meeting our usual experience on this trip to others we have had here. Otherwise it would have scored my usual top marks

Our first ever trip in our caravan was as a spiritual battery recharge for my wife who used to come to Greatstone from London for most of the summer during her childhood.
The site gave us all that we needed, EHU, good utility block (OH used the 'facilities' for the first time ever. So they must have been pretty good!)
Mostly statics with a small touring area with grass pitches, most with EHU as far as I could tell. Chose our own when we arrived on Wednesday it filled up friday and saturday and emptied again sunday.
No staff supervised or explained fire regs when selecting the pitch. We had a motorhome turn up on Sat night and set up 2 feet from our rear wall.
A chippy (but as we were mid season they had run out of a few staples like mushy peas, gravy, curry sauce. ) and a small shop selling basics a bit pricey.
Didnt use the pool or bar but full marks to the staff who seemed to be going at it hammer and tongs keeping the kiddies (and therefore I would hope the parents) happy the list of child entertainment etc. Seemed very good. Plenty every day and for most of the day)
An excellent Indian restaurant Kahns. 1/2 mile down the road in Camber. Just before you get to. Yes a large Pontins. Hmmm
Outside school holidays it was great. Fairly peaceful but march - June very windy (hence all the kite surfers)
For us it was mainly visiting old haunts and long dog walks on the fantastic beaches. Camber beach just outside the camp 35 yards and you are on it!
Dogs are banned on the right hand side of the beach as you stand on the sea wall and face the sea.
Would probably go again.

We stayed here one Saturday night over the May bank holiday. I tried to use their web site to book but when I entered the details it stated that it was fully booked. I tried to phone but was holding on for so long I gave up. We were going to the area anyway so as we passed we called in to find the next vacancy to be told they had plenty of spaces available. This must be costing them a lot of business. Once I had paid we were shown to the touring field by a friendly warden who said that we could pick any of the vacant pitches. We had a pitch with electric hook up (which I had paid for)which was level and had plenty of space around it. Tents were mixed in with caravans. Although there were some empty spaces most were taken and there was a good camping atmosphere.
We walked around to check over the site. The beach is just across the road and is ideal as the tide goes right out leaving a sandy play area. The swimming pool was well run and there was plenty to do for kids (rides and arcades etc. ) in the evening we used the entertainment bar which put on a show for children which was very good. At about 10pm the adult group came on and they were very good. The toilets were ample and very clean and we were pleased with our stay. Would recommend this site.

We chose this site for out first short visit to check everything out with our caravan after winter because of it being quite close to home and also because we had been before.
This is a very friendly site, the staff are all very helpful and willing to do whatever they can to help. Nothing seems to be too much trouble.
Pitching up the caravan was a breeze and thankfully the weather was fab for the weekend.
This is a great site for both youngsters and the more mature. Something for everyone.
The site has quite a lot to offer itself along with the added beauty of crossing the main road and you are on miles and miles of SANDY beach! Perfect
There are indoor swimming pools on site that look great, but I cant comment on those as we never used them.
There is a restaraunt/club area where they have evening entertainment which is great fun for everyone. A bar and a pub. Small cafe for fish and chips, pies etc (eat in or take away) and small on site shop. Plenty of activities to keep small children entertained.
About 200 yards walk down the main road is another Pub should you wish to go off site
The only real down side I could find is the toilet/shower blocks could do with updating. I have always been an early riser so only 2 showers available is no problem for me, but if any other water in either of the male or female block is run then it seriously effects the water in the shower. Both mornings (bearing in mind I was in there at 6am) I experienced the extreme water change while showering.
The taps are push button, which is good for saving water, but during our stay I came across 3 taps that were not working either in the ladies or in the washing up area.
Even with these little niggles the positives far outweigh the negatives and we will still be returning and keeping this on our 'regular' site list
Rye Harbour and Town is a very short car journey from the site and is well worth a visit. A very relaxing old town great for an amble. The towns deli is a must, the pies and sandwiches in there are lovely, bit pricey but worth it.
We thank all the staff at the park for making us both feel at home and for such a wonderful break.
We will be back later in the year for another taster.

When first arrive staff were friendly, Given good pitch for our tent.
Toilets and showers were clean, Hand dryer in men’s toilet did not work for first 2 days though
Has launderette with tumble dryers @ £2. 00 per hour which we thought was good value
Swimming pool was very good although it did not open until 10am.
Evening entertainment was good, Kids loved it and was dancing up front leaving us to relax and enjoy a drink
Beer was off and even though staff did exchange it they did not seem bothered or concerned - Got the impression they knew there was a problem with it.
Site is very close to beach which was lovely, Just a shame that there was quite a bit of dog mess along the pavement before beach so you had to keep looking down as you walk
Overall worth the money, Had a fantastic break and looking forward to going back next year.

A few things but nothing really bad. We had a recent visit for a 3 night stay in our caravan, weather was good considering what the British weather has been like. Meet as we drove in by the caretaker who collected our paperwork and directed us to a choice of pitches (tents and caravans are all in one place, but to be honest seemed like you could pitch where ever you wanted). Noticed quite a bit of rubbish around the site, that did not get picked up. All settled in nicely and went for a walk to take in the site. This is a very large site, the toilet block was clean but only had two showers, see this being a problem in main season, but hot water at all times. You are right on the beach and perfect if your kids love collecting shells. Ideal for familys and people who take their dogs with them. Chip shop was a great option and very friendly staff. We went to the club house on our first night and too be honest is very scary if you have children, very large and very dark in there, my husband was not very impressed with only 3 young staff behind bar area and it was packed in there, so be prepared to queue for a pint.
Rye is a very nice place to visit and Hastings is a must. Nearest supermarket (Sainsbury) was 30 mins away, shop on site very well stocked but prices as you would expect, quite steep.
Pool was perfect for the kids, just did not like the fact that you walk in and sit in watching area with your shoes on over the other side of the pool, and no throwing things in the water other than a beach ball very warm in there as well.
Lots of 2p machines for the kids, they could do with filling them up everynight as our 8 year old, only wanted to play the ones where you may win a keyring, by the 2nd night none left to win and still the same on the 3rd night.
We would go again and think Park Resorts offer great value holidays, would not be too bothered if we did not go to the club house as need a torch to see your way around lol

We stayed at this site on May 18th for 3 nights in our touring caravan.
We have used this site over the past few years as its central for Hastings and Folkestone and have good entertainment in the club in the evenings, the pool is nice, plus a takeaway fish and chip shop plus a general shop that stocks most items, the beach is just over the road.
To our disappointment there seems little organization when arriving onto a pitch, there are no painted lines or shrubs to say where the pitch boundaries are, when we set up Friday afternoon the site was about half full so we had a few pitches to choose from, we went to Hastings for the day on Saturday but when we came back there was another touring caravan about 2 feet from ours, I felt sorry for a couple in a small tent, as when they came back from a day out 2 huge camper vans had parked very close either side of their tent, caravans, tents and camper vans were just parked all over the place.
During our stay there was a tent with 6 teenage girls in, and they were very noisy and a lot of bad language, a few people complained including myself, security asked them to quieten down, which they did for about an hour, then started up again, this went on most of the weekend.
This will be the last time I use this site which is a shame as the entertainment is very good and I think the pitch prices are good.
