We last used this site in September 2010 & we enjoyed it with our first cheap caravan, so we decided to return with our now family of 3 boys 4, 2 & 10 weeks old & our new caravan. Sadly we were generally disappointed!
The positives are a a great position next to the beach/ good location in general close to Rye & a very good clean & modern swimming pool complex. The bar was also very pleasant & we had fantastic sunny weather.
The negatives were that although they had been open for a week or 2 the facilities block had not finished its refurbishment or cleaning which left the possibility of using the disabled facility only (would not have minded if we had been informed before our trip!). The touring field is a mess, with broken concrete roads, very shabby bits of grass most of which was not level which also had broken concrete in, they had put down 30 or so pieces of new turf but this will not take or make a difference. There are no marked pitches & the site is clearly not cared for!
For a family holiday park it was strange that the evening entertainment from 6pm to 8pm was bingo which was adults only & you had to be quiet. Bearing in mind it was the start of the season the whole complex / park / staff were unprepared & it had the appearance of having closed in November & they had just re-opened the doors in March without having carried out cleaning or maintenance. The chip shop served me freshly cooked fish that was off & the staff when challenged could not really care less. There was also an issue with the speed of traffic on the site (much to fast) & a motorcyclist that thought he was Evil Kneival & was never challenged by security staff.
Overall the site is in a great position but the touring facility is sadly wasted & the staff are already unhappy or uncaring 2 weeks into the season with 8 or so months to go until the park closes. We will not be returning!

Arrived and told to wait in touring area for someone to show us our pitch. Had to wait some time as there were two caravans also waiting to be pitched.
Showed to a corner which we were told would be quiet and sheltered (It was VERY windy all the time). Despite there only being a couple of foot either side of us (bank one side, static the other) people still insisted on squeezing through past the tent. This was going on till the early hours and most weren't that quiet. The bank attracted all the kids with bikes so they were cycling up and down beside our tent from the early hours. These and the constant wind meant we got very little sleep.
Our pitch was dry but very uneven and we had to carefully position our tent to avoid a big dip and some concrete slabs in the grass.
The toilets/showers were not as bad as I had expected. Reasonably clean. Lack of hooks for hanging clothes by the sinks and no hairdrier point as advertised. Nor anything to clean the showers before and after use.
Only one water point which we struggled to find. According to the website there are several dotted about!
We left early partly because we were desperate for sleep but also the wind meant we couldn't even boil a kettle as the gas was blowing all over the place. If you can't even have a cuppa first thing then things have got bad!

We chose this site as it was close to the beach and Rye, nice beach, dog loved it and a very good walk to Rye which is well worth a visit.
As for the touring site at Park Resorts it was run down, blocked drains at the water points which also had broken concrete bases. The grass area looked more like a waste ground, very uneven, large dirt areas and parts of the road around the touring site broken up. We also got road noise from about 6. 30am till midnight. We arrived in the dark and hoped it would look better in the morning but it didn't. As the weather was good we stayed to visit Rye and the beach then left early as the site was too depressing. Lucky for us we didn't use the showers/toilets just the elsan, easy to find just follow you nose. The security man checked us in as we arrived in the evening, he was very polite and helpful, the only other staff we encountered was at the fish & chip shop and she was not a happy bunny!
Loved Rye and the beach the rest we will just have to laugh about.

Arrived on the Monday for a 4 night stay. Entrance to touring field is on the right just after the main entrance to Park Resorts Camber Sands Holiday Park. Warden offered us our own choice of a pitch from an area that was only 30% full. Ground flat and dry, no stones but some pitches appeared to have small flat concrete slabs dotted about so choose your pitch carefully. Several EHU points available.
Toilet block not overly clean but acceptable (have seen cleaner). 2 showers for the men, 3 cubicles and 3 urinals. 8 sinks. Similar for the ladies so I am told. No queuing but would imagine you would have to if the touring area was full. 4 washing up sinks under a plastic cover which were clean. Chemical waste point also available. Couple of water stands dotted about the site.
Some road noise as others have suggested but we live near a motorway so in a weird way it actually helped us sleep! Did not use the entertainment complex or shops on site as we took a laptop and a DVD boxset to catch up on. Chip shop 400yds up the road was very nice.
Beach right opposite was excellent and dogs are allowed in this part of the beach all year around. RH&D railway was a good day out (from Dungeness to Hythe). Also a walk around Rye Harbour Nature Reserve was peaceful and flat. Hastings is also a typical touristy place to visit within easy reach. Recommend an induction hob if you have EHU capability - so much easier, cheaper and quicker than gas hobs.

We stayed at this campsite on 4th June for 3 nights in our touring caravan.
This is the second time we have used this site, the time before was in late September 2010,
When we arrived the site it was quite busy, and we were shown to a choice of 2 pitches by the warden.
We decided to take the pitch next to the fence as it was slightly larger and that meant there was no other campers either behind us or in front of us.
The down side to this was behind the fence was the main road so it was slightly noisy, especially on the Monday morning when Lorries were passing.
The site is large with mainly static caravans; the touring pitch is reasonable level with a few dips and holes around,
The shower block was clean and tidy with only 2 showers in the men’s (not sure how many in the ladies) always hot water, but the building seem tired and could do with refurbishing.
The entertainment complex was very good and the evening entertainment was excellent, each night we went there after 9pm so we missed the children’s entertainment; there is a resident band, then a cabaret followed by a disco, then the resident band came back on then the disco again, we were leaving the club around midnight each night.
The beach is just over the road from the camp site, and Dymchurch, Hastings and Folkestone are all with-in easy driving distance.
We would use this camp site again as the entertainment is very good.
We wouldn’t use it during school holidays as I imagine it would be very busy.

We visited this site (now known as 'Park Resorts Camber Sands') during the recent glorious weather of the Easter holidays. We actually stayed in a luxury static mobile home this time but I took a wander down to view the touring area while we were there. My observations and opinions as follows:
1. The site is well maintained and clean and tidy throughout.
2. It's a big park. There are over 1000 static mobile homes on site all closely packed together. It was more densely populated than any other site we've been to, we felt a bit crammed in. We stayed in a Gold Extra mobile home with central heating and double glazing, it was brand new and perfect. Our mobile home was 0. 5 miles walk to the front gate.
3. Having said about the density, the facilities are suitable for the number of people. The clubhouse is huge with a restaurant bar, a large cabaret show bar, a small adult only bar, and amusement arcade, a shop and a good well priced fish and chip shop.
4. Staff on site were excellent and courteous. We had a problem with the boiler out of reception hours and security immediately sent a team to assess the problem and had the maintenance guy visit us at 8am the next morning to fix it.
5. The swimming pool complex is excellent, 4 pools including a current flow circuit which sweeps you round a little ring and a flume which is pretty unexciting but fun nonetheless and suitable for any children above 1m, prob age 6+. The pool staff were well managed and attentive, about 5 on duty at all times. There is also a small gym and a bookable spa & sauna room.
6. The beach is opposite the park entrance, seven miles of sandy beach. The other must-do attraction in the area is the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch narrow guage railway which is an excellent day out.
7. There is a small supermarket just up the road (the shop on site doesn't do much food). The town of Rye is 3 miles inland. There is a Kebab & Pizza takeaway place in Rye.
8. The touring field is small and was packed, it was excellent weather over Easter so they were fully booked. The pitches didn't look well marked and everyone was using every inch of space including small strips of grass surrounding the tennis court. The grass was bald in places and it's only April. The soil in many areas had pebbles and stones in it, I wouldn't have liked to pitch my tent in these places. The toilet and shower block was small, only a few male showers and toilets, but they were clean and in good condition.
Overall, more positives than negatives. They cram you in but provide good customer service and facilities. It was too densely populated for us and we don't use the evening entertainment so we won't return, but if you like a lively park this might be good for you.

Stayed here for the Easter Bank Holiday. The weather was fantastic. The toilet block was modern and cleaned regularly. A small site with no real regimental layout, which is ok for a bigger site but this one could feel cramped. The pitches are well used and uneven. The staff (especially ROB ) were helpful enough, unlike the staff at the Bar & Restaurant staff in the main entertainment block. Very slow and uninterested in customer service. Having said that this site has great facilities for kids and would recommend it.

We stayed at this site on Friday 1st October for the weekend in our touring caravan, and paid £22 for two nights, which we thought was very cheep.
When we arrived it was blowing a gale with torrential rain (the same as the whole country, and it had been raining all day)
I felt sorry for the warden as he led the way on foot to our pitch, luckily for him he had full wet weather gear on, but it was an evil afternoon.
He found us a pitch that wasn't under water, and we quickly set up.
We were planning on going to the club that night, but the wind and rain never let up, so we had an evening in.
Saturday morning was warm and sunny, so we walked around the site to see what the site had to offer. The showers were small but clean
The family club house is large, there is a adult only bar on the side, and a fish and chip take away, in the same complex there is a shop that stocked most items that you would need, also there is a large amusement arcade.
There is a restaurant, and that morning they were serving an English breakfast for around £4.
We didn't go in the swimming pool but it did look nice, there is even a sauna and Jacuzzi you can hire for half an hour
We will be going back again around May time when the weather is better.

We booked this site for the bank holiday staying on the Friday to Monday, we had friends down there for the week and was experiencing some high winds and bad rain to the point that one tent had been blown down and another had been flooded but we still went, big mistake! The camp site was water logged and we were all put in a very small area and there was not 6 meters of space between tents and caravans, it was in my view dangerous
The gale force winds were because you are directly opposite the touring area so winds are constant and the busy main road is very noisy. The toilet block had 2 showers for ladies which didn't work properly. There was nowhere for the children to play as it was all for the statics, we had to walk to the main entertainment area for the children to play in the park, and was quite a walk from the touring area. Everything came at a price you even had to pay £1.00 for a locker in the swimming pool which was non refundable
Drinks in the bar were dear at £4.00 a pint of lager and £1.55 for a small glass of coke.
We went for breakfast in the restaurant on the Monday morning and it stated that they served breakfast until 11.30 am but when we asked for the breakfast at 11.15 were told we couldn't have it as they had stopped serving but all the breakfast items were still on the serving counter, we then noticed we could have an all day breakfast at 12pm so we waited until 12 and went to order then was told she wasn't taking orders yet as they 'weren't ready' what a laugh, then when we complained it was 12pm she then asked another member of staff if she could take our order, we ordered a child's meal and with that you get a fruit shoot but the child cant have fruit shoots so we asked if instead he could have a glass of orange squash and was told no he had to have a fruit shoot or buy a separate drink of orange squash (even though a glass of squash was cheaper than a the fruit shoot, the staff were uncaring and not friendly and the meals were very hit and miss with the pasta with broccoli was macaroni out of a can with a few frozen peas and broccoli put in to it
If it is because some of the pitches were too water logged then people that were going there for the bank holiday should of been advised of the situation and given the option of a refund as I would of been one of them! but not really knowing how bad it was and paying £115.00 for the three days we went

This was my first proper camping trip, as last time I just stayed in a friends tent. I booked this trip before reading the reviews on here, and I must say I was really dreading going after reading so many, not so positive reviews.
Firstly when arranging our trip we noticed a dramatic price drop from the first week to the second week of the Easter school hols. So rearranged holidays from work to go in the cheaper week. When I called to book they had increased the pitch price from £10/night with EHU to £32/night. Bearing in mind we needed two pitches as there was more than eight of us, and the tent exceeded the sites 6x6 meter limit. So for a three night stay they wanted £192! My husband did complain and we were given £50 off plus we only needed to pay for one of the pitches with EHU so ended up paying £126. But in the small print of their brochure it does state that they reserve the right to change the prices.
When we arrived the site warden was friendly and helpful, our pitch wasn't too bad no concrete or metal where we had to pitch.
The only real downside for me was the wind. Our practice pitch in the garden at work (tent bigger than my garden) took myself and my husband approx an hour and a half. Pitching in the high winds at camber sands was much harder. It took five adults and six children just to hold on to the fly sheet. And we had to use the kids as weights to hold the tent down while threading the poles. It took the best part of three hours to put up. Fortunately the tent did well in the wind. Others I spoke to were not so lucky with their tent snapping three poles!
The swimming pool was excellent the staff were friendly and helpful a little bit whistle happy I agree but very vigilant making it very safe for the kids. The children's play areas were well maintained and kept the kids amused
Overall this site was better than I expected but the wind and the price would put me off returning.
