This is a lovely well maintained site. This was our first family holiday camping and we picked a very good site, the kids and wife where very happy, showers was very clean and tidy, lovely clean smell and the hot water never ran out when we were there. The wardens where fantastic happy to help at any time. Hemsby was just up the road (3 miles) great yarmouth (5 miles) had everything you need. We are looking forward to this year when we book, same holiday as last years because we had a great time. The wardens were fantastic helpful and extremely friendly and gave us a very warm welcome and were especially friendly with our children! we would highly recommend The Grange!

The site is very clean and tidy. We have a very large family tent - Outwell Arkansas 7 - and the wardens were able to allocate us a very generous sized pitch. All pitches are well marked out, level and well drained. The mower is out at every opportunity to keep things neat and tidy. The toilets are kept clean and are checked on a regular basis by the wardens. There is plenty of hot water, soap etc. And the push button showers are hot and powerful. The pot washing area is again clean and undercover. The only negative is that there is some road noise in the mornings from the by pass but it doesn't last too long. We have visited this site before and will be returning next year too. The Wardens are extremely welcoming, helpful and informative and helped to make our holiday. This site is highly recommended.

This is a pretty site with large pitches nicely arranged under the shade of numerous trees. Quite and very well maintained. The toilets and showers are very clean and there was an abundance of hot water. The locations is a little out of Great Yarmouth but that suited us, it was only a 5 minute drive to the nearest supermarket and just a little longer into town. The pub next door does good food and they have a children's play area. The wardens are very helpful, but more importantly nice happy people. Highly recommend.

What a fantastic little campsite!
We stayed at The Grange for a week mid-August and we cannot wait to return!
We were welcomed by the warden who showed us to our pitch which was very roomy! We have a Voyager 6 tent, an Astra and there were still loads of room for sitting out etc.
Each of the pitches and the site as a whole are very well maintained, grass, hedges, hanging baskets, planted beds etc are all kept very neat and tidy.
The shower and toilets were very clean and well stocked with loo roll although maybe a little dated. Shower pressure was excellent, better than mine at home, they were always hot too, although if you take a shower at peak times in the morning they can be cooler!
The washing up area was also kept very clean and tidy with a plastic drainer and washing sponge supplied. The Laundry room was super too… Only £1 to do a load of washing and 20p for around 8 minutes for the dryer – bargain.
There is a children’s play area on the site and also one at the pub which is on site too which was more than adequate for my friends children aged 7, 9 & 10!
There is a pub on site which is nice and also one just around the corner which is about a 10 minute walk, both of which welcomes children and serve food!
We found Caister beach to be our favourite beach, with golden sands albeit stony nearer to the sea. Caister-on-sea is about a 15 minute or so drive away.
If you have read any of the other comments regarding The Grange you will notice they mention the road traffic noise…… Yes there is some noise but no more than if you live on or by a main road at home. The noise is normally people going and returning from work so the normal rush hours (8. 30am and 5pm) and also maybe a little more if the Great Yarmouth Stadium has an event on. The noise has not stopped us from planning a return visit to The Grange in the next coming months.

We were in the area and needed one night as we had been let down by a big site close by, I rang the Grange and they were very helpful and offered us one night at a very reasonable rate. On arrival they were very helpful they put us on a nice pitch at the back of the site.
The toilet/shower block was slightly dated but very clean with plenty of facilities and space. We did have a shower and the water was very cold in the ladies showers but fine in the men’s, but as we were staying for one night it was not a problem.
It was a nice little site and the people in reception couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, if we were in this area again we would definitely stay here.

This was our first camping trip so we only booked 2 nights with the 3rd as a maybe and having read the reviews on this site after already booking we were slightly worried, this turned out to be for nothing, I don't know why people have made such negative comments about this camp it was a lovely little site and the people running it couldn't of been more friendly and helpful, they even tried to help us put our tent up!
The mens toilet/shower block was maybe slightly dated in décor terms but the cleanliness was outstanding and all the facility's were in good working order, they even had radio playing in there 24/7 which was a nice little touch and there was never a line to wait in!.
The disabled facility's were extremely good and modern (we had to use them once while the mens were being cleaned).
People have complained on here that the washing up facility's were outside I wanted to point out that they do have walls on 3 sides and a shelter above so not exactly that exposed and worst case scenario take a bowl back to your tent!
People have also complained about the road noise and whist it was a busy road we didn't mind the noise and they do have a quieter section out the back.
There was even an ice cream van doing the rounds on site!
The pitches are quite big, we had a 6 person Sunncamp tent and a Mondeo and still had room!
(There's not much to do on site or locally without a car unless you don't mind walking 15-30 minutes into Caister or Hemsby) although the site has a children's play area and there are two pubs around the corner.
We loved it so much were going back next year! were even staying for a week and taking the dog (which is free for the first dog)

The facilities were very good with very clean toilets and shower block, washing machine and dryer which came in handy due to the wet weather. The washing up area was also very good with even wash cloths and dish drainers provided. The children's playground was also very close and the kids had a great time using it on their own while we could keep a distant eye on them.
However, even after having read other reviews regarding it being close to a busy road, I couldn't believe it was that close when we arrived ! Our tent was literally a few metres away from cars zooming down at 60mph. I really felt like I was sleeping on a roundabout. And I'm not exaggerating ! The location lets this site down which is a shame as the facilities were excellent.
It is also a very small site and it seemed that the owners were trying to make the most of the bank holiday weekend and crammed in as many tents as possible with hardly any space in between.
Unfortunately, because of the location we will not return to this site.

What a great site, it is clean and well kept.
The toilet and shower block are immaculate.
Just across the road from the site is a small walkway which leads you directly to Caister On sea, where you can get a bus straight into Yarmouth.
We obtained a family day pass (2 adults and 2 children) at a cost of 6. 00 which was fantastic as the prices for parking in Yarmouth are rather expensive, especially if you want to spend all day there.
One downside is, the grange hotel has been closed since January 2011, it still states on the website that this is open! If you walk past it though, at the back you will find a nice pub called The First and Last, this supplies a friendly face, nice beer and good food. Well worth a try and well within walking distance.
We shall be back next year!

We have just returned from staying at Grange Touring Park, having booked for 7 nights and leaving after 6. We were a party of 6 with 2 pitches (2 tents).
The positives:
The site facilities were excellent - clean and modern toilets & shower blocks, with the added benefit of a private wash room with changing mat and top and tail bowl for baby changing.
The area for pot washing was clean and had little extras such as drainers and cloths etc which you don't normally get on a campsite. Although there isn't a camp shop as such, you can get milk, eggs, bread and cold drinks from reception.
There is a small garden area at the rear of the toilet block with washing lines and pegs provided.
The site also has a separate adult only section away from campers with children who might be a bit more noisy. There is also a children's playground which is well away from the road.
Now the negatives and I will try to be as constructive as I can:
The pitches were very cramped, particularly in the tent area. We did in fact fall foul of leaving a 3m space between tents for fire safety reasons when we arrived, even though we were observed pitching our tents by the warden. It wasn't until the following day when we were fully installed in our tents that he came back to say that we hadn't got 3 metres between the tents and that we would have to take one down and move it. When asked why he hadn't mentioned this when he had seen us pitching, his response was that he didn't realise the tents were fully pitched. !
Needless to say, as the week progressed and more people arrived on the site, we were were not too happy to observe that this rule seemed to apply to some and not to others.
The site is situated at the side of a derelict Public House which is currently up for sale (although it says on the e-brochure that the pub is available for drinks and meals) and also at the side of an extremely busy by-pass which makes you feel like you're sleeping in a layby of the M1! Couple that with farms surrounding the site and cockerels crowing from as early as 3 am makes for many a sleepless night.
The rules had to be observed to the letter, with the wardens taking their job very seriously, even telling families to stop laughing and talking as early as 10 pm! Difficult when you're in a party of 6 or more ranging from adults to small children. The general con census of other parties around us was that this site was not a site to relax and have fun on.
Pitches had to be vacated by 11 am on departure, so to avoid any un-necessary confrontation with the management, we packed up the day before to be away in good time
All in all, having spent some wonderful times on other sites in Norfolk, needless to say, we wont be returning to this one.

We found this site 'by accident' we were passing, saw the brown traffic sign and pulled in.
How friendly! from the minute we arrived the staff were helpful and cheery. It cost £18 per night - reducing to £11.50 per night from June 4th. Open Easter to October.
The site is clean and well presented and other campers were friendly. We stayed in the adult section of the site.
The toilet/shower block was clean, fresh and well stocked with hot air hand dryers, good lighting and music!
About 1 mile from the beach and easy reach of great Yarmouth. Car boot sale at Caister on Saturdays.
Would we stay again? You bet we will!
