Well it has all been said before, but this site is about as good as it gets,
Just spent a week there and the standard of the showers and toilets is 10 out of 10. The pitches are level and well drained.
The site is 5 mins from the most beautiful beach. The village of Mawgan Porth has fish and chip shop mini supermarket, Pub and shop selling all your beach requirements.
We have stayed here before and will stay again in the future. The owners of the site are very friendly and helpful and are there to help. Well done Magic Cove

We arrived 2hrs early due to travelling down from Leeds, however this wasn't a problem, we were showed to our pitch. Excellent facilities, toilets showers immaculately clean washing up liquid provided.
Yes the site is small but your aware of that before you book, if you don't like that, don't book. It's literally a 5 minute stroll to a beautiful dog friendly beach.
The weather was absolutely fantastic when we were there, cant fault this site at all, before we left we booked for next year. Thanks for a lovely peaceful stressful week.
Didn't take any children so unable to comment with regards to facilities for them.

We found the location of this site as the main plus point; it's a couple of minute walk to the dog friendly beach, pub, cafe and shop.
The facilities were always clean and tidy and the owners were on hand to keep an eye on things. It was also good to have an excellent free wifi connection.
The pitches are a bit compact, but we knew this before we booked so no complaints with that.
The downsides for us were having the washing up sinks in the toilet block and as we stayed late in the season, a lot of the grass had died so it was like camping on sand.
It is a site we will return to, but probably at the start of the season rather than the end.

Very clean, quiet site with excellent showers, toilets etc. Good dog walk area, great views, pitches are larger than we thought after reading some of the reviews and we had no issue with it at all.
Perfect spot for the beach which is a 5 minute walk away and there are some great shops selling everything you may need. Bob the butcher is a very happy chap who comes to the site 3 times a week and has great meat produce.
One of the things that struck me was how all the other campers respected the site and its facilities, dishwashing area was always clean and tidy for next user and everyone was very friendly.
Only downside would be the lack of any play area for the kids but we were aware of this before we went and stayed on the beach most of the time anyway!
Chip shop nearby was great quality but expensive and your order was only cooked after you placed it which must be a nightmare in high season!
The beach at Mawgan Porth is one of the nicest we have been to and we can't wait to go there again !

We arrived at the site and were greeted by the owner and several other visitors who helped move our outfit into position. This seemed to be a common occurrence. The site was spotless as were the facilities.
There were plenty of recycling bins. Each pitch either had its own water / drainage or shared with the next unit. Our two dogs were required to be kept on there leads on the site which wasn't a problem as there was a 3 acre field with a path literally 20m from our caravan.
A TV aerial lead was provided on arrival as was the password to the free wi-fi.
Downsides the pitches were quite small although large enough for caravan and awning. Also the dishwashing facilities were situated inside the gents and ladies toilets, no shared chores then, although washing up liquid was provided. To sum up we stayed for 4 nights and booked to return next year for two weeks before we left, first time we've ever done this

This site is a little gem spent a week here in July and just booked to go back for 2 weeks next year. Facilities are spotless owners are really friendly and very helpful. Pitches are a bit on the small side but have both water and waste points. Location is fantastic with a fab beach a 2 mins walk away and watching the sunset from the pub beer garden was a perfect end to the day.
Site is also well located for exploring other areas of North Cornwall but one week just wasn't enough ! So looking forward to returning next year.

Well if you want a quiet site immaculate facilities friendly owners close to a dog friendly beach and local pub that serves good food this is the site for you.
The site is small so the owners do not allow ball games, bikes etc, but with the beach 5mins walk away we never found it a problem when our children were small
You also have use of a washing machine if you need to do a wash on the site below. We have been going for 21years!

We stayed for a week on this site in July. It is situated in Mawgan Porth, within an easy walk from the beach. The surrounding area is very picturesque, Bedruthan Steps is only just up the road, and Newquay is about 6 miles away. Padstow slightly further in the other direction.
The facilities on the site are good, with adjustable temp. Showers which are only 10p for about 2 minutes. The warden says this is so people don't waste water. Well, that and the fact his water bill will be drastically reduced! Good recycling facilities.
The pitches are quite close together though, it's a small site, and ours was on very rocky ground.
I cannot particularly see why people rave about Magic Cove. The site is very good, don't get me wrong. Less relaxed and laid-back than some though. We did however feel under pressure to leave our pitch on time, with the wardens observing us?!

We arrived well before the arrival time, but were quickly allowed to go to our pitch after the mower. We were meeting up with two other friends all going there for the first time. The pitches were a little small so it was good that we were flanked either side by our friends as this helped to settle the dog.
The beach which was an easy walk away was beautiful the dogs loved it, you also had great choice when leaving the camp site turning left meant you had a long walk to the next village on a quiet bridal path which had been landscaped. There you could get good food, the pub next to the beach also provided good food at a sensible price. The little beach shop area was pleasant and not tacky.
The owners of the site were always helpful and offered quite a few little extras not normally found at other camps, such as aerial extension leads. We really had only one negative comment, that being that the dish washing facility was couple of feet away from the toilet door, we would prefer it to be in a separate building.
Again this is a site that I would be glad to return to.

We have just returned after having 10 days there,in spite of the weather we had a lovely time and didn't want to leave.
We have stayed on many sites in the Newquay area but this was the best one.Although it is small it is very friendly and Lesley and brian who own the site make you feel very welcome and do everything they can to make sure you have agood holiday.
They even have a good collection of books and dvd's to borrow if weather is bad.
We were next to the toilet block which was a pain at first as our dogs didn't think anyone should walk past but after a few days they got used to it.My husband liked it as he didn't have to empty our loo as much.
There is water on every pitch which is very handy.
It is only a short walk to a lovely beach and the pub on the front does very nice meals.(Dont reccomend the fish and chip shop though.
We are hoping to return next year and hope for better weather.
