Camping in Reddacleave Farm checked all my back-to-basics camping experience.

The pitch my group stayed was secluded and had a beautiful stream nearby and a pond which the dogs loved to dip.

It was relaxing in the evening settling in the camp and to sit around the fire pit.

The mornings were beautiful to wake up to the sound of the birds, trees and the stream.

Reddacleave Farm is by the edge of Dartmoor National Park and is a short drive from the motorway and the nearby town is about 15 minutes drive if in need for supplies from the shops.

The host was friendly and responsive in communication. And helped me with all my queries.

I definitely would love to camp here again!

Our 3rd year visiting, and each year the group gets bigger. (Friends and family)

A really good site if you want to be in a beautiful, peaceful camp, right on the edge of Dartmoor.

We’ve already booked for 2025!

This was our 3rd visit and we’ve booked for next year already.

Sarah is amazing as host

What can I say about the site, well for me it’s a little slice of heaven, I’m always wake early and there’s nothing nicer than sitting outside with just the river sounds and bird song, even some of the sheep joined me.

I’m not sure where the days go as I only left the site once in 4 days.

Bought fresh eggs and homemade marmalade from Sarah’s dad

As a group we just cook, eat camp cooked food, play games and chat. Some of the more adventurous ones go off walking on the moors

Toilets great

Shower great

Being detached from the busy bustling world (even phones) amazing

This was a great campsite in a great location, with a friendly owner.

Our pitch was well maintained, secluded and the proximity to Dartmoor is a real bonus - certainly worth the price.

We'll be back soon!

 First time at this site.

If you need a quiet week away this is the place to be.

Didn't have electric hook up we and apart from the owner we didn't see a soul.

It's set in beautiful surroundings.

Would definitely go back

Arrived to a very well kept pitch, perfect setting right into Dartmoor.

The host was very helpful with whatever we needed.

Spent most of our time walking, with great routes we could take both on and around the farm.

Overall great experience, will definitely be returning!

Fantastic peaceful location, lots of space for the kids to explore, a river to swim in!

Lovely welcoming host, & shops less than a 10 minute drive away,

The toilets where clean & sitting around the fire pit in the evening was the highlight!

Will definitely recommend to friends & family & can't wait to come back!

We had a really lovely stay here, 2nd time this year. Had massive spot on our own at the far end of site.

Composting toilet and stream for shower.

Owner made sure everything was clean and in good shape

We had the most amazing stay here! We opted for a wild camping pitch that was right round the back of the site.

We had a massive pitch, our own area of the woods, a compost toilet and fire pit.

It was back to basics but felt safe as were within the acres of the farm.

Sarah was lovely and helped us with anything we needed. We did go in the water - it was so cold but lovely!

Our girls are 6 and 8 and really loved it. Lots of outdoor space to explore and a park to play on.

We would recommend to anyone.

I had a 3 night stay at Reddacleave Farm with my mum and 4 dogs (mum hasn’t had the best camping experiences and dog bath from very elderly to 2 young/puppies!)

The campsite is impeccably clean, quiet and varied. We were put on an EHU pitch near to the stream. We had a fire pit along with round picnic bench and the kids play set behind us. The compost toilets were really clean and didn’t smell (despite what you may think!) and the shower was brilliant.

On the whole the dogs stayed on leads, there was a child not sure of dogs so out of respect for them, but if we didn’t have hold of them it wasn’t frowned upon. The dogs and I went swimming in the stream and the younger dogs got rather excited but the camp was empty so it didn’t bother anyone else! As long as the dogs are under control and don’t bother people it’s very relaxed!

It is a beautiful setting at the foot of Dartmoor. We walked the dogs first and last thing around the wild camping pitch as there was no livestock in there and few campers. We were out for nearly an hour each time so plenty of walking just there! The Avon Dam is breathtaking, this is only a few miles away. The only downside was that we weren’t there to stay for longer so we could explore more.

It rained, the sun shone and there was a magnificent fog a couple of mornings but it added to the atmosphere of the place!

Both my mum and I asked by the time we were on the A38(10mins away) when we were going back next year!
