I can only assume the previous reviews that criticise the toilets and showers visited before they were upgraded, or something, as we found them absolutely fine, nice and clean and fresh.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Our serviced pitch was very large and although the slate hard standing did have a habit of finding its way into our van, it did the job ok.
We did not have children with us but it did seem a safe enough place to have let them roam if we did.
We tried the on site pub/club and it was ok, it was very geared to the mainly Liverpuddlian static owners (everyone seemed to know everyone! friendly enough though) but did do a decent fish and chips.
Its a little strange to find this gem of a site, take the advice of the owners when you book and don't follow your sat nav or you may get stuck or damage your van.
All in all a nice base to explore this bit of Wales, and, if your into aeroplanes there is a little airport and museum next door, not noisy though.

We visit Morfa Lodge caravan site very very often and have never had a problem. I found it quite disheartening to read a review put in by tenttotty saying how bad the toilets / showers were, I have never had to cause to complain with regards to these and have always found them to be clean
I find the staff on the site maintain everywhere within the site to a high standard. I would personally recommend that anybody visit this site as it is a friendly happy one.

Just spent a week at Morfa Lodge in our tourer. The campsite was very quiet and in a beautiful part of Wales. The views all around us were stunning.
The campsite shop was brilliant and they didn't overcharge, in some cases, prices were lower than the supermarket. The outdoor pool was nice, but got a bit rowdy with the teenagers.
The only down side was the showers / toilets which were the worst we have used. Unfortunately they weren't kept clean. I complained to reception about this and I was told they were cleaned twice a day! This was definitely not the case. They were only cleaned properly every 2-3 days! I feel this let the site down considerably and will probably put us off visiting the site again.

First thing to bear in mind is that whilst the main Caravan site is very nice and well maintained the campsite is not at this location but based 5 miles down the road along the coast - so if you want somewhere with clubhouse and pool facilities which this has you will have to commute to enjoy them.
The camping field is set in a lovely location with just a 50m stroll to the quiet beach. It has about 20 pitch sites of which about 6 were taken up by caravans. The toilet block is 2 cubicles and a shower with good hot water, shower cubicle could have been a bit bigger as it was a squeeze getting changed and I am not a big bloke! (also if you are over 6 foot you will be touching the roof in the shower).
The chap who meets you is very friendly and will offer any assistance he can, for £15 per night you pay for the pitch and electric hook up and can use all of the facilities at the main site - good value I feel!
Falling asleep to the sound of the beach was lovely in the week however on the Friday night
Generally a good site which I would return to again

We usually choose smaller sites, but as we took our 10 and 8 year old niece and nephew away we went to Morfa Lodge for it's child friendly features, and we were very pleased with what we found.
A very family friendly site - 2 nice play areas, swimming and paddling pool - attractive and clean. Could do with supervision here though - irresponsible parents were allowing jumping and bombing in the pool which was quite dangerous given the number of children in there.
Great for kids to cycle around the site too.
Pitches a very good size, and all flat and hard standing.
The site was not full when we were there, so we had a lovely view of the mountains. However the pitches are very uniformly in lines and any views are likely to disappear due to new static pitches around the perimeter.
Loos, showers and washing up areas fine, although loos could have been kept cleaner and mops would have been nice to mop out showers after use. Floor by washing up sinks usually had puddles by it, making it dangerously slippy.
Nice bar areas, and lovely seated verandah outside - nicely planted with climbing plants etc - could have been in the Med! We had a meal there on one occasion and can recommend the pizza and glass of red (not the white though - dreadful house wine!) while you watch the sun set!
Excellent shop - sensible prices too - run by such a lovely lady!
If you're in need of peace and tranquillity - then be aware that the site is at the end of the busy Caenarfon airfield which was constantly in use by light aircraft during our stay. We didn't find the noise intrusive though, and hubby was sorry he didn't take binoculars!
For a local lunch/meal, try the Hart Hotel and Llanwust (sp?). Been there a few times over last couple of years and never been disappointed.

Loved this place.
Friendly staff. A picturesque site with a good shop, though if you like a beer/glass of wine in your van, then bring your own - the shop doesn't sell alcohol and the nearby shops on the seafront had about half a dozen cans and 2 bottles of wine (not for long). Clean child friendly bar with lovely good value food. The large pizzas are amazing which easily fed 3 of us and I can eat.
The kids play area and pool were ideal for our 7 year old who couldn't keep away. Its a real little sun trap. If you and your kids like to cycle, the site and immediate area is nice and flat.
The location is ideal for the nearby beach or a drive out to Snowdonia/Anglesey/Abersoch.
So it gets a bit windy.

Where do I start,
What a stunning place Dinas Dinlle is, the beach, the views.
Right the site -
The site is stunning itself, all the pitches are hard standing and fully serviced, all flat, The shower and toilets were always clean and hot, Sometimes too hot. A word of caution though, the shower blocks are not marked up, Men or Women, so if you haven`t been to this site before you could easily walk into the wrong shower block.
The site has got a small pool, which wasn`t open when we were there but looks like the kids would love it in the summer, There are also 2 parks for the kids to play on, which were both good.
The bar has entertainment at peak times of the year, We had a singer on when we went, who was ok.
Would we go back?
Yes
The only thing I would say is at times it can get windy, It was only the 2nd time we used our brand new caravan, with our brand new awning, and we popped out for the day, we when came back we found our awning had blown over the caravan and a kind man on the pitch next door had taken our awning down before it caused anymore damage.
It did bend some poles and put a tear in the awning and a small dent on the van.
So if you visit this site, which is stunning, remember to take hard standing pegs and a storm strap, Just incase.
Also a word of warning if your using a satnav to take you there, as you get close to the site it will try and take you down a narrow road, which is unsuitbale for caravans (This happened to us). Follow the directions from Morfa Lodge website and you`ll be fine.

This was a nice site. The toilets/showers were kept clean. When we stayed the pitches were very boggy as it had rained heavily the weeks before, but the grass soon dried out. The pitches were large and well marked. The outdoor pool was great, and so was the childrens play area. We watched an airshow while there over August Bank Holiday as the local airfield is situated just next door, with a flypast of the Red Arrows! Bonus! A good site overall, we would use again.

Have stayed at this site on many occasions. Site is well laid out, staff have always been very friendly and helpful. Amenities are great, pools are excellent and well maintained(as indeed is all the site). Club house fantastic with seasonal entertainment, and the food is A1. Shop is very good and well stocked. There is only 1 toilet/shower block, but this is quite large, and never had any problem with coping with use by a full site, they are also very well maintained and of high spec. There are basic toilet facilities in the camping area. Services in the campers area is basic but very ample, good access to water, and rubbish is well catered for. Pitches are level and quite spacious, could do with more hedges surrounding and acting as good windbreakers, this is the only negative about the site. The site has good play areas for the youngsters, including a games room in the club. Close to the site, in easy walking is a lovely beach, the welsh highland railway runs close to the site. The local airport is right next door, but this does not effect the site one bit, it is only a small airport, one runway, it also has a good museum. I would definitely stay again, and recommend the site to others regularly, and none have ever been disappointed.
