may 03 Not a bad camp, prices great, pool not heated so you can only swim when it is hot.
There is a lack of entertainment on this site and the toilets are quite far from the camping field but apart from that it's ok.

aug99&aug 2002 we have stayed at this site twice it has a good location for trips out to nearby locations we have found the site to be clean and well maintained toilets showers etc good. It has an outdoor pool which is heated but could do with some more shelter if it is windy a good well stocked shop and a clubhouse with a seperate lounge for adults only a games room for the kids and an outdoor play area, overall its pretty good and value for money the beach is nearby with some shops and cafes there is a hillfort at one end of the beach and the air museum is good as you can play about with some of the exhibits on show.

june 2002 we stayed here over the jubilee bank holiday weekend. There were numerous camping fields to choose from. The downside of it was that we had a good five minute walk to the nearest toilet, which was a grubby portacabin. I found the whole weekend a total letdown, because of the lack of facilities on hand for campers.

This is a large campsite which is well maintained. On the whole it is well drained, although on our first stay we were flooded during some heavy rain. However we have been back several times since and always been dry. The toilets, showers, dishwashing facilities and launderette are kept well maintained and clean. There is a club house which sells food and provides twice weekly entertainment and there is a swimming pool which the kids love. Probably the most attractive thing about this site is the price, it is really cheap.
On the downside it does get packed in the season and it is right next to the aerodrome. However, this can be a bonus, for we spent hours last year watching airial acrobatics, it was like an air show with no fee!
