Site is excellent, close to the town for pubs/eating places and shops also it is right next to the beach. Very clean/tidy, and a very good thing, [ no dogs allowed ]the facilities on site are excellent with indoor swimming pool and games room I cannot praise this site any higher than to say we will go back again and again there are a lot of places to visit that are close by all within about 10 miles. At the end of this site there is a bus stop, that takes you to western super mare, etc at a respectable price

We have just returned from this site after October half term week. This is the first time we have stayed at a site where there is an entertainment complex and I was very dubious about booking but my husband and son wanted somewhere with something to do. When we arrived the warden who was extremely helpful our whole stay (even lent us some sealant when we had a leak due to the torrential rain every day) asked us if the site had phoned us about our pitch (oh no we thought!) we had not had a phone call but had booked a hard standing (thank god!) and the bit where we had to put the awning was just a mud patch.

We persevered though and plodded on, however the rain started on the Sat afternoon and did not let up all week every time we stepped out onto awning carpet big muddy puddles came through everywhere. The weather I must add is not the sites fault, but the grass pitches were just deep deep mud and the vans and cars that were on those just sunk. Had we had not been on a hard standing we would not have stayed.

There were also no mop buckets in toilet block to mop showers out so they were filthy most of the week apparently they have had lots of mops and buckets and plugs stolen over the summer so are not putting anymore in. Someone even took the mat off the ladies toilet floor on our last night. It's these kind of people that ruin it for everyone else.

The Mash and Barrel on site was ok drinks were very expensive food was reasonable but one day we went for lunch and was told they only did jackets as a snack or soup so I went to order our Jacket potatoes to be told they had none yet were still on the board. Staff weren't over friendly and there were hardly any staff manning bar so had to queue a few times.

Overall I suppose it is typical of a commercially run site but I would not return here again. I have to say on a positive note that the warden on touring side was fantastic and couldn't do enough to help us even letting us move van over on last day so we could take awning down and not step onto mud.

Site has recently been refurbished with a modern shower block and club house that has a wide range of facilities to suit everybody needs.

The main negative on this site is the quality of the touring pitches, due to the area being very flat the area is commonly like a mud bath (as found on 3 or 4 occasions over the last 2 years), and its disappointing that the awning area was left as grass and not gravel as seen on many fully serviced pitches.

Toilet block has 4 showers for male, 4 showers for females and a family bathroom which is handy for families with small children. In general the toilet area is quite clean but it could do with being cleaned a little more frequently during busy periods. There is limited space in the shower cubicle and the water runs back to the dry area which can be a pain.

Main club house is generally very good, good food (especially if you get one of the deals) and generally priced ok like wise for drinks. Entertainment has been to a high standard and on the odd occasion it has been excellent for families as a whole.

Park location is excellent, you can walk from the site onto beach front and town centre with a wide variety of shops. Also it is only a 5 or 10minute ride from the motorway.

My personal rating for this site would be a strong 7 near to 8, but if the issues with the pitches was resolved this would probably be a high 8.

just been to this site came back on the 20th stayed a week great site if you have kids there is plenty to do for them, the staff are friendly and the site is quite modern.

Now the bad side they only have 3 showers and 3 toilets for the men and the same for the women to cater for all the tourers and tenters. Half the lights don't work and you are better dressing after a shower in the shower area as water is on the floor in the other area (bad design who built them ).

We booked a super pitch but on the 15th the rain came down and our awning got flooded we asked for help and two guys came with garden forks they tried to help bless them but it turned into a mud bath.

The awning came down after that I noted other pitches suffered the same fate. I was told by a guy who works here they are going to make them all weather pitchers in the winter but that's been said before and nothing has been done.

The bar sells beer and larger the same price as the pubs in town but too few manning the bar. 1 hour wait for a meal which was bad but the meal itself was ok. I found a better pub just outside the complex 3 course meal for £9.95, so all in all after paying £361 for two for a week on a muddy pitch I will not be returning to this site.

Just got back from a 4 night stay at haven, We had a lovely time.

The facilities were good, toilets were most of the time clean.

Lots to do for the kids a good playground and decent swimming pool. Was going to take the kids on the swans boats but at £10 I thought this was too expensive.

5mins walk to burnham on sea which has a nice beach fo the kids to play on, Also a morrisons which we bought our food from

We had a good time and would go back.

Stayed during the end of season to be in Burnham for the fireworks and Carnival.

We went to book in at the main reception and was dealt with in a friendly way, given directions to the pitch and told there is no warden as its the end of the season!

We then got to our pitch (Pitch 70) a very muddy pitch due to the time of the year and also very dark at night which is a good thing and a bad thing!

The shower/Toilet block was very nice apart from having no Loo roll for the last day and night.

No Entertainment on site due to the carnival and a complete no show for the advertised Cabaret on the Sunday night was a disappointment, as we had one member of the Entertainments crew up singing and was a little shocking.

The site itself for £20 per night with EHU was ok but with such limited facilities this should have been reduced somewhat.

I will return but will be when full Entertainment is resumed.

Good stay overall!

Visited the site for a two night stay in June 2011. Arrived at 8pm on a friday night and was meet by a friendly warden who explained everything well and provided us with some passes.

Pitched up on a 'euro pitch' and by 8.30pm was in the main complex. The pitch was ok can I can appreciate peoples comments that they can be a little small for some of the bigger outfits with large awnings. We did not have an awning to put up so not too bad albeit the pitch was a little more bare earth with bits of mulch than grass.

Entertainment was excellent on both nights with something for everyone - obviously mostly orientated towards kids and families with Rory etc etc.

Facilities were good - nice swimming pool and park area with mini golf etc. Bar served nice meals albeit a little more pricey than normal pub prices. Pizza delivery to van was good with very cheery 'Derek'.

Showers were clean and quite nice. My concern would be that at very busy times - with only four showers they could be a bit busy.

Will definitely go back again and with the CC discount is good value for money me thinks.

We stayed in two, 2 bedroomed caravans they were very clean and tidy.

The park was kept tidy despite some people leaving their rubbish by their door for the seagulls to rummage through, there are plenty of rubbish bins never too far away.

They had nice clean toilet facilities in the complex that looked new.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The security was great at this park and quick to respond when a man staying behind our caravan got drunk and started shouting and smashing things up.

The pool is great for the children although a little chilly and not overly big.

There was plenty of things on site for children to do,clubs, bouncy castle, trampoline, amusement.

The beach is only short stroll from this site with plenty of shops and restaurants. There is so much to do in the surrounding areas, cheddar gorge, wookey hole, weston super mare.

The entertainment at night was good, kids loved the panto. The shop was good just very pricey as was the launderette.

But overall a great site and I would definitely stay there again

I booked to stay a week at this site because I have not been to Burnham before and always found the facility good at other haven sites.

I arrived bang on mid-day to be greeted by the warden who was very helpful and polite. I had a lovely big pitch that met my needs. The only grip I would have is the amount of trees surrounding the site as it is hard to get a sat signal.

It was also a sun holiday week so there was plenty of people over the club in the evening, I found the entertainment to be lacking slightly from other parks with far too much in house entertainment.

The food on site is very expensive as is the shop, a trip to asda sorted this. However all in all it was a nice site and I would visit again.

We have visited this site many times staying in a static caravan but for the first time this year in our folding camper. We booked the pitch in January, 7 nights for £52.00 which was a bargain. We arrived at 12.00 checking in time and the warden was friendly and gave us our pitch number. We had booked a large pitch with hook up. This was big enough for camper awning our car and lots of play space for the kids. Unfortunately the pitch although covered in tree bark was muddy in one patch and we got our camper stuck and could not push it out so we had to hitch it back up again to pull it out. As first time users of our camper we were a bit stressed but a lesson learned.

The toilets and showers were recently refurbished and were relatively clean and tidy although it was difficult to stop people walking mud in. Showers were usually hot. The family shower room was excellent always clean with a shower bath toilet sink and hairdryer. Washing up facilities were good and water always hot.

The park facilities-Park was excellent for under 10's there was an inflatable slide and trampoline which was supervised and free. The pool was excellent and there were lots of activities at a cost which we did not use. The kids club activities and entertainment were good and a security guard stood at the door of the show bar to stop little ones escaping when the show was on. The price of a bottle of wine was £15 which was a bit steep. We did not use the pub as we had used it before and found Weatherspoons cheaper and food better. The shop was OK for essentials but Morrisons is just a short walk away.

We did have cause to visit A&E due to an accident with some boiling water while we were there but the site were most helpful and sent a security guard who was a first aider to look at the burn and advised us to go to hospital he came back a few days later to check I was OK.

There is a pizza take away on site but we found buying a pizza from Morrisons a lot cheaper.

The area-What is good about this site is you do not need a car the beach and town a short walk away. There is lots to do around Animal Farm was good as it had an indoor play area but pick up a discount card from one of the leaflet racks for some money off.

Overall a good site with lots to do especially for children.

A site we will visit again
