We stayed here for 5 nights on a euro pitch. The area was clean and the surrounding grass cut recently to our stay. The shower/toilet block was fairly clean only let down by some of the people using them. The touring area is close to the main entertainment area. Morrisons is a few minute walk away in Burnham, which also has a good selection of takeaways ! Would recommend if you have young children

Just spent a month here and generally very pleased with the site, facilities, area, etc. The site warden (who has now left) was very helpful. The site (both euro and grass pitches) suffer from water logging after heavy rain with some people having to move and others having large muddy puddles to contend with. There was also a rat problem which now appears to have been controlled. The loos are not kept as clean as some other haven sites and we did complain, which improved the ladies a good deal. The gents ran out of toilet paper frequently and were poorly cleaned, probably due to the fact we were told by reception that they were cleaned only twice a day!

Just returned from a 6 night bargain break - 2 adults 2 kids ehu insurance and entertainment passes for an amazing £40! Weather was fantastic, camping facilities kept clean, outdoor pools were open, the only problem was lack of food provisions in the on-site shop - frozen food chillers had broken down (you could still purchase food but had to ask the staff to fetch it from the storeroom). Unfortunately the main supermarket on the seafront (Morrisons) is still not open but we did manage to find a Lidl tucked behind one of the side streets, or you can take a 10 minute car journey to Asda (near to Highbridge Caravan Centre). We did not eat in the on-site restaurant as I thought the meals were quite pricey - instead we headed to Wetherspoons (which was a 5 minute walk aloing the seafront). Would definitely return to this site again as we found it had loads of activities for the kids and if they are happy, then so are we!

We recommend this site to all disabled visitors, the disabled shower / toilets were very clean and spacious. We found the staff helpful and pleasant.
The bar prices were very reasonable, and we enjoyed the entertainment even though it was 'child friendly'. The shop was expensive but the midweek prices were very cheep, swings and roundabouts as they say. The walking distance between the tents / tourers area, and the shop / club / pool complex was short and level, again very good for disabled visitors.

Just spent two nights here on our first ever camp and what a bargain too! £14 for two nights stop with EHU and entertainment complex passes, where there is a heated swimming pool arcade and children's playground. Great sized pitches, spotless shower and toilet facilities and paid a £5 returnable deposit for use of the family bathroom which was huge!
The warden greeted us almost immediately and when we told him it was our first time, he stayed near by to keep an eye on us, but also left us to it without interfering so we could find our own feet.
Like previously stated, the on site shop is expensive, almost £8 for a disposable BBQ twin pack, there is a very cheap Asda on the way into Burnham from the M5 where you can buy a reusable one for the same price.
Location wise its in ideal for visiting many of Somerset's many tourist attractions. We will return!

Spent Easter Sunday to Wednesday at this site. We are 1st time campers and couldn't have wished for a better site - entirely flat, 5 mins walk to sea front, supermarket and main shopping area.
We arrived at noon, collected pitch details and entertainment passes (to enable us to use all Haven facilities - pool, sports area, park etc.,) and by 2pm we were sat on the beach enjoying the sunshine!
The shower block, toilets and washing up area were kept clean and the atmosphere on site was very welcoming - Warden was on hand if you had any queries. Would definitely go back again but can be very expensive if you eat and shop on site - there is a cracking Wetherspoons on the seafront where we ate most nights.

THE holiday village is by far the best touring site I have been on. I have visited this site over 15 times touring and previous camping. Having a euro pitch is like being home from home. as for the toilets they are modern and clean. The site has 3 big fishing lakes stocked with carp and bream. Great club house, swimming, sports court etc. Easy access to the site via the M5 MOTORWAY. If you like coarse fishing and evening entertainment then this is the site for you.

On arriving at the site, we were surprised that you just drove up the main driveway, no barriers, no staff, nothing, we followed the sign that said Tourers, this took you straight onto the touring area, but once there no one to show you where to park or go. We dumped the car and walked over to the main reception to book in. We had pitch 36, we were impressed with the pitch, hardstanding with a grass area for your awning, and a turret for water, ehu and tv point that we had to use as we had a very poor reception using our ariel.
Toilets - Only one toilet block for the whole touring field with only 3 in the gents and 4 showers, the entry system is a keypad, however, the gents didn't work and the door was wedged open, until someone closed it, someone told the site at 9pm that no access could be gained into the gents, but was told that no-one would be able to fix it until the following day, not very good.
Security - None We didn't see any patrol for the whole weekend. As previously said the main entrance has no barrier or security meaning anybody could just walk or drive in, also the large gate at the promenade entrance is locked at 9, but don't worry as you can just walk around it and in, again no security near this gate.
The site on the whole could be lovely, but needed a lot of maintenance, overgrown grass(where grass had been cut all the mounds of cuttings were just left, including on the pitch & putt course that made it unplayable), hedges etc.
2 nights of the entertainment were ok, the 3rd was terrible.
Location great right next to the promenade, and a short walk into Burnham.
We would never go back to this site due to thefts and lack of security, the site has no fences around just hedges.

Fantastic site. Dont be put off by other reviews.
The good points 1) M5 junc 5 mins away. 2) Great vfm £50 7 nights 3) Lovely touring field 4) Fab location 5) Great pools & parks & facilities 6) Blockpaved super pitches very roomy 7) Enormous family bathroom for under 3 year old. 8) Big site shop
The bad points 1) Main toilet/shower block a bit tatty but spotlessly clean 2) Seagulls on caravan roof 6am 3) Indoor swimming pool cold
We had great weather but evidence of pools of water and mud from previous 6 weeks of heavy rain still remain. The onsite restaurant was adequate and not overpriced same for bar prices. Burnham-on-sea is very nice with nice walk along prom from site. All in all very nice place. Will be going back.

Just returned from a wet week spent under canvas. Pitches were a decent size and well marked but some did tend to flood in the wet weather. The touring area was a small percentage of the overall site and sometimes felt like an afterthought. The toilet block was clean, with no queues for the showers, but there were no private sink cubicles. Having a pin number for access was a good idea though. The only queues we came across at the block was to do the washing up as there were only two sinks for all the tourers. There was a good choice of sporting activities and the kids loved the fencing and archery. Didn't even try the food at The Mash And Barrel after chatting to a few people on site who warned us off. The other reviews here say it all! Bring extra cash with you for the arcade and on-site shop because of the high prices. The entertainment was typical Haven but get there early otherwise you'd never get a table. The site seemed very noisy at night and we didn't notice any security patrols. The area surrounding the site had plenty of things to see and do. We would visit again but not necessarily stay at this site.
