Well my family and I have been coming here for several years now and we still love this site as much as we did when we first came, we came for a couple of nights and now we spend all our free time here, whether we come up just for the weekend or we come and stay for the whole summer. Its like a weeks holiday when we're only here for the weekend so the five days at work don't matter because I know I have that long weekend feeling coming around again soon.

The owners and staff are always friendly and nothing is ever to much, the owner is always about for a cuppa and a chat and it gives you the feeling that he is always about if you need him.

The playground is 1st class with more new items which keep all the kids busy, the toilet/shower blocks are always spotless. Also now that we can get items from reception i. E. Milk, bread, sausages, bacon and most importantly lollies for all those hot summer days, there's no need to leave.

Since we arrived here our in-laws and other members of the family come here to stay too on seasonal pitches too, so it's like home from home. I can't recommend this site enough and plan to come here for many years to come.

Thanks Mark, Katie and Charley Cooper

As of last week we had never been camping & as this was our first trip we didn't want to go too far. From the reviews we saw Eden Valley had all that we expected from a campsite.

Firstly, the owners were very welcoming. We chose a grass pitch, though most were hard pitches.

There was plenty of space & a hook-up (take a long cable as ours didn't reach!). The facilities were really nice & clean. In fact everywhere was very clean & tidy. One shower block was heated & very welcome first thing in the morning!

The only minus was there were no hairdryers no matter how much I looked, but that could just be me & I should've asked really. Our children were very spoilt by the huge, enclosed play park. We also took our dog & had a large park of her own to play in.

This site is very close to Lostwithiel where there are several shops & a very good chinese. We were also very close to The Eden Project & we enjoyed two days there (with our dog).

As I have already submitted a review for this site I feel that I should point out the massive upgrades that have been carried out during the closed season 2012 / 2013. There are now 10 Super Pitches, Lots of hard standing's two artic loads of turf, many tons of hard-core meaning that the vast majority of the area's are now very well drained. Better roadway's and for the future there are very strong rumours that the site is going to be one way for next season.

Stop Press just up and running there is a card operated security barrier.

I cannot figure out why this site is not full all the time, the site is very popular with the people from across the channel.

To me there is only one thing that I can comment on negatively speed not only do vehicle's go faster than the speed limit of 5 mph. The children on their bike's are just as guilty of this.

I never thought I would say this more speed humps please. No one wants anyone to get hurt.

We came last year with the intention to tour in our caravan but fell in love with site so much that I bought a seasonal pitch.

We found the facilities excellent and very clean and tidy, the power showers are excellent and with all the room you need as each having shower, toilet and hand basin. Loads of space to get dressed without getting your clothes wet

Reception was pleasant and helpful especially when decided to extend our visit for another week, even though it was fully booked they managed to find room for the in-laws to stay (not always a bonus)

We found the site owner to be friendly and helpful We have now made it our second home and we come up here as often as possible, even when we come away for just a weekend it feels like we have been here for a whole week, to just arrive and switch off its just so relaxing here safe enclosed play area for my daughter and she makes new friends every time she comes here.

I can't recommend this site enough for anyone who have children and enjoy the peace and quiet.

My experience of this site was quite different from other reviewers. I agree with all that was said about location, shops in Bodmin or Lostwithiel (lovely town), the facilities etc.

But I found reception patronising and contradictory. In addition, the chap who appears to do the gardening is out and about all the time, watching, and I felt intimidated and uncomfortable.

Yes, the site is set up so that eight or so units are in a sort of circle of sheltered trees. That is/was a nice idea, save for the rest of it. The shelter is such that there are no drying winds to help put right the mess that is the turf. The ground is so badly drained that rushes (water marginal plants) are growing on pitches and all over the site. These have been there many years indeed, indicating an ongoing problem. The quality of grass used is high standard luxury turf grade, and utterly useless for a camp site where people are in and out all the time with tents, ground sheets, vehicles. The grass is a sodden mass of black putrid vegetation when you take your ground sheet up.

The upshot of all of this, for me, was that I was bitten all over by insects living in the stagnant watery puddles. If you and yours are susceptible to being bitten, this is not the place for you.

Yes, it has been very wet, but this is more than that. This is an ongoing problem about which nothing is being done.

I came up to Eden Valley to visit my family who have touring caravans sited here.

We only came to visit a few times and fell in love with the place - we liked it so much that we bought a static caravan for weekend use

We never had any intention to buy anything until we came to visit and we don't regret anything at all - it is such a beautiful place

We only live about 30 miles away so it is so easy to get here after work and chill out

It really feels you are away from all the stresses of everyday life when you are here even if it is only for a couple of days!

Darren and Ginny and their staff are simply the best and are always there to help

We would definitely recommend this site to all our friends as you could not find a more relaxing and tranquil place to stay

We can't stay away!

Can only re-iterate what has already been said. An excellent site that we would be happy to re-visit. It was pouring with rain when we arrived, but the camp site manager still ran in front of us to show us our pitch.

We were on a hard-standing with decent pathways, so water-logging not a problem. Also an ACSI site.

By the way, beware Fowey - we got a parking ticket as we overhung our parking space and should have bought two parking tickets - one for each space!

This is an excellent site managed by very friendly owners.

The campsite is easy to find off the main road, turning into a narrow lane, we did not find this a problem.

The new bathrooms are lovely with Power shower a sink and toilet. With plenty of room to get dry without getting your clothes wet.

There is also a room with plenty of information of area.

The pot washing/clothes washing are just over a little bridge with another block of toilets and showers all kept spotless.

There was a children's play area but having no children we didn't take a closer look.

While we where there the ground was very soggy (must have been the wettest June) but the owner was on and if needed.

It is near Eden Project, St Austell and many small villages. Also there is a National Trust House not far away.

Bodmin isn't far where you can Cycle on the Camel trail to Wadebridge.

We would highly recommend this site.

Chose this site from the web as it was near Eden Project.

Excellent site with very friendly owners and staff. It had been raining heavily before arrival and the ground was soggy, but a quick push from the owner and we were set up.

Small enclosures with woodland flower names, and were select enough to be private.

Parked near new toilet block with excellent facilities, individual showers/toilet and basin in self contained cubicles.

We will definitely come again, and would not hesitate to recommend others to come.

We only found Eden as the C&C Club site closed in nearby Bodmin.

This site is very sheltered. You are in a small paddock type area with approx a dozen or so other units.

The site Owner is very helpful and guides you to your pitch and helps you rather telling you (there is a hell of a difference)

There is just enough lighting to be safe.

THE TOILETS in over four decades of camping, motorhoming and now caravaning. We have never been on a site with toilet areas that are in the same league as these. You can shower and get dry with out your clothing getting wet (power shower) there is a loo and a wash hand basin, the block is spotless a credit to the owners and the cleaners 10. 5 out of 10. From us.

Pitch and putt course children's play area not a lot for the children to do but with so many resorts and attractions close by they will find plenty to do.

The last five hundred yards are a little narrow and twisty but go steady and you will be fine. Our van is a twin axle and 7ft 6' wide and we were OK.

Pub with decent food ten minutes away.

Eden Project, Fowey, St Austell, Mevagissy, Looe and Many Many others near.

We have taken the big step of booking a Seasonal Pitch for 2012. Never thought we would do this this place has this kind of effect.
