Grassed pitch surrounded by trees. Access via a one track road. Very quiet and peaceful despite children being on the site (in a different area from us). Toilet and shower facilities excellent. There is a local pub ten minutes away (uphill) that does reasonable food. Although we had rainy weather we managed to visit Looe, Fowey and surrounding areas. Still not too far away from North cornwall as well. All in all a lovely site to visit again.

Excellent, well-maintained site with trees and shrubs surrounding stylish gravel paths and drives and close-mown pitches. Family friendly, small play area for younger children. Very friendly and efficient staff on site. Good shop which also freezes ice packs. Very clean toilet and shower block. Washing up sinks outside but covered by awning so sheltered from rain.
Did not visit any pubs, however plenty of takeaways within 2 miles of campsite (Chinese, fish and chips, Indian). Small supermarket 1 mile away which stocks everything one might need for camping.
Not too far from Eden ecological family attraction which is good value.
Our gear box went on our last full day as we were returning to the site from a day out. Thick, black sludgy oil spewed over the gravelled drive in the entrance and in a trail all the way to our pitch. However, the owners were very understanding indeed and we were pleasantly surprised and very grateful that they did not charge for the damage.
This site is a cut above the rest and I would definitely stay there again.

We arrived when the summer rains started and it did not stop for the whole holiday. The site is perfectly located to get around the local attractions. Mevagissey, fowey and looe are all close by and in general the location is spot on. The site is very well maintained and laid out. There is a childrens play park which looked great. The shower block is spotless and cleaned twice a day. Showers were powerful and hot. Pitches are spacious and and are layed out in circular secluded areas which accommodate about 8 vans or tents we took a large van with full awning which still allowed us room on our pitch.Bin areas and water collection points are plentiful. Overall a great location for families without the presence of rowdiness. The owners appear to take a real pride in the site and are always around cleaning up and available for a chat. I cannot give any negative points as there are none. Marks out of ten I will give it 8.

In all fairness its pretty hard for us to review this site properly because for the 2 days we stayed the weather was very wet and miserable but that apart I will try.
We arrived in between showers so managed to pitch dry and on a relative dry area as most of the areas were extremely spongy and wet due to the very wet conditions .
There was no problems pitching it was flat and pegging was fine.
The pitches are set in small areas surrounded by hedges and trees and in nice weather I can imagine they are perfect camping pitches.
Didn't see any staff only the owner who showed us around who was very friendly and helpful and was around all the time to keep an eye on things.
The main and probably only moan I have was with the toilets/showers there was only the one block and was quite a walk and the showers were about the size of a toilet cubicle but they were very clean and well maintained.
Plus points.
Very picturesque
Flat
Clean
Quiet
Minus points.
Very small showers.
No shop
No bar/restaurant in walking distance
Would recommend

Booked for a week but stayed for two. Newish owners and they've been very busy. We loved this site, big pitches and you can choose which field and where. Toilet block can be a bit of a walk, depends where you choose to go. Really clean, good hot showers, all inclusive. Super fenced off children's adventure playground.
This is not a campsite for those wanting entertainment. It is however situated in a perfect location and you can get to most parts of Cornwall in an hour. Eden and Heligan very close by. Gaz exchange on site but no shop at all. Tesco about 15 minutes drive away or there's a reasonable Co-op in the village. We will go back to this site in preference to anywhere else we've tried. Just felt calm and peaceful.

A beautiful site, lots of hedges and and several small camping fields so you don't feel one of hundreds, and we were pleased to be able to choose our pitch, not have one allocated. Best ever play area, even our 13 year old enjoyed the assault course type equipment. Showers and toilets spotless. Probably the best site we have stayed at
Good location to visit most areas of Cornwall within in an hour and only 15 mins away from the A30 so easy to get to. The TV room seemed to be in the middle of being decorated so it wasn't open

Just visited and had a lovely stay. This site has new owners who are extremely friendly and helpful. They have spent considerable time and money in updating existing facilities and have done an excellent job. It is still the tranquil hideaway in the countryside that it always was, without hideous bars and tacky facilities but now it has excellent free and newly decorated showers. They have updated the children’s play area, which is safe and far enough away from the rest of the site that it is not a nuisance. All pitches are flat and well maintained and you get an excellent sense with the split fields, that you are not part of a large site. Top marks all round (and my wife is very fussy!) we will definitely going back again.

August 2002 Drove on to this site whilst in Cornwall to have a look around. One of the most beautiful and tranquil sites I have ever seen. Basic facilities on site ie toilets, showers and launderette but a shop and pub/restaurant are only a few minutes away.
Very large pitches with plenty of space in between.
As it says on the information sheet "Please note that the park is not suitable for children who prefer the attractions of a noisy holiday camp".
