Booked to stay at this site over the bank holiday but on arrival was very disappointed especially after reading the good reviews on here.
The site looked very uncared for far from the pictures portrayed on the website. On inspection the toilet block was quite smelly and certainly hadn't been cleaned and the side where the seasonal pitches are looked overgrown and run down. The log cabin and static side looked better but even on here there were old caravans, machinery and broken toys just abandoned. Both rubbish collection points were overflowing and this at the beginning of a busy weekend.
We couldn't find the owners despite ringing the bell and waiting so all things considered we decided to move on even though the chances of finding an alternative site at a bank holiday was remote.
If you are not too bothered about standards and just want peace and quiet in a nice location then give it a try but we will definitely not be returning.

We needed a short break to test our dog in a tent, he passed with flying colours and will be coming camping again.
The loos were clean and tidy, the wash up area was more than adequate, watch out! water pressure is very good, this is a compliment rather than a complaint, it made washing up less of a chore.
We didn't really give the site a thorough test as we spent most days out touring the area, have a drive by the asylum in Denbigh it's an impressive building.

We would just like to say what a lovely stay we had. The camp is very peaceful and the owner couldn't be more helpful. The shower block is very nice and very clean.
We will be going back in July. We took our dog with us and this was not a problem to the owner the site is very dog friendly. There is a lovely log cabin that you can also rent their, it truly is picture perfect
If you want somewhere quiet to relax. We will definitely be returning very soon.

Visited Caer Mynydd on Bank Holiday weekend and stayed for 3 nights. There were 13 of us in our party and we had 3 tents and a caravan. From beginning to end the stay was faultless. It is split into two separate parts and we stayed on the newest side where the log cabin is. The site is very clean and tidy and the owners were very accommodating. The toilet, shower and washing up facilities were very clean, there is a small shop for essentials and the owners offered us wood for a fire too. All in all a brilliant campsite, so much so that we have booked again for September.

We were booked in with my family for bank hol weekend. We were in a caravan and the rest were in tents, this was not a problem the owner, who met us on arrival offering his assistance, gave us plenty of space.
The shower block was lovely and they are building another nearer the camping field. The scenery was lovely and we went on a forest walk directly from the campsite. Beautiful! We have booked to go back in September.

We have just stayed at this caravan park over Bank holiday and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The owners could not do enough for you. They were very accommodating for us as it was a last minute booking and went out of their way to put us at the top of the site, where we could pitch our three tents together with plenty of room around us to safely use our firepit.
The owners even gave us a bag of wood to burn (very nice of them). Scenery was very nice but would have been even nicer if it had not rained, but didn`t dampen our spirits.
Showers were a bit hit and miss with hot water but never freezing and the play area for kids was on the other side of the road from us which our 4 year old daughter was tempted to cross a few times on her own.
Overall I would highly recommend the site and will be booking again for 1st week in June, We all look forward to going back.

Lovely Site Had a great time, the owners Bob & Jean were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We arrived on Friday, due to our great British weather, it was raining and Wales, had seen more snow a few days before we arrived, so we knew, we were in for a wet weekend, the ground was a bit boggy, but as they say don’t cast a clout till May is out, but made our first time out in the Trailer Tent very memorable. The owners let us move on to the car park where it was a bit dryer and gave us a hand, like I say nothing was to much trouble. A+
The Site was big and plenty of room, the toilet block was very clean and showers were nice and hot! The kids really enjoyed the site playing on the park, feeding and chasing the chickens. They also had a lovely beautiful race horse, so we were often at the stable and stood by the fence giving them some attention.
Fantastic little site for the kids they were kept entertained. We will definitely be returning back to caravan site, as it was lovely and the owners made us feel very welcome had a really good time see you soon.

This is going to be our 3rd season on this campsite. Would not like to be anywhere else now. Some of our family have joined us with their caravan and we all love it. Also some of our family have been with tents and couldn't fault the site. The owners are fantastic, always helpful. We have an 8 year old son who thinks its brill (his words not mine) he loves the small park, and riding his bike around the site. I feel he his really safe playing around the site. The toilets/showers are lovely and clean. There is a small shop that caters for your everyday needs (if they haven't got what you need they will get it for you). There is a laundry room with washer dryer and iron. The views are outstanding. We always feel really chilled out when we are here.

This was our 4th stay at this site and definitely our last.
The site used to be for tourers and tents,it is now almost all seasonal lets.
There were three pitches that appeared to be for tourers, all of which were rutted and not best suited for tents.
The open manhole, which was full of water, was at the back of our pitch, an accident waiting to happen! The top was put back after we asked, but you shouldn't have to ask, it was a real hazard with children on the site.
The toilets were not cleaned for the whole weekend (stains like that cannot be produced twice).
At one point we had to go to the reception and ask for toilet paper, which was replenished, but still no cleaning took place.
This used to be a quiet site, with open areas and a feeling of space. This space is now covered with seasonal lets, many of which are poorly cared for. We will not be returning.
