Culloden moor is a large, slightly sloping site with a road that snakes round it. It is popular with those starting / finishing the NC500. Pitches are of a good size and well spaced. Most slope just enough to need levelling blocks, but there are some fairly flat ones.
The single facilities block is of typical CAMC style and quality, but looks maybe a bit small for the size of site. There are a number of service points and two chemical disposal points, but all of these feel can inconveniently placed for areas of the site.
Unlike some other places, hand sanitisers seemed to be largely absent, or perhaps not obvious. Use of the toiler/shower block was limited to 3 people by the use of a wrist band, so some queues are inevitable.
Exit from the site is along the proverbial 'Long and winding road' and from there it is a short drive to the Culloden battlefield site. In the other direction and a bit further is Cawdor castle. If you like, you can take the No. 2 bus from near the site to either and to Inverness.

Lovely clean site. Well done Chris and Andy a wonderful couple. Stayed for 2 nights.
Went to Colloden Moor everyone should go and see this place. Quite humbling.
Start the fantastic N. E Scotland 500. Preferably on a motorbike but not vital.
Lots of sightseeing available from this site, Edingburgh castle, Hollyrood Palace, John'o'Groats etc;
Will be back next year.

Nice campsite, good facilities. Really good dog walk into mature woods. Lambs in field behind. One way system a bit of a pain.
The site would benefit from more info about the local walks and culloden moor battlefield. Near to Inverness, we travelled to Loch Ness.
Clean and tidy.

Lovely little site in beautiful countryside with the delights and facilities of Inverness less than 20 minutes away by car.
There are two very tight corners on the site which must be manoeuvred carefully with a larger outfit but this is the only thing I would change about the site.
Wonderful views over the Nairn Valley, however some pitches are very close to the road and are usually the last ones to fill up. There are about five or six tent pitches on a small grass area but these were hardly used in all the time we were there.
Lots of motorhomes on one or two night stays doing the NC500 trip so although the site seemed busy in the evening sometimes by mid morning it emptied again!
Facilities were kept very clean and there is a unisex toilet available when the ladies and gents are closed for daily cleaning.
The laundry is well used but is invaluable for a long term stay. Yes the pitches all need some weed killer on them as they were not the standard we have come to expect from the Caravan and Motorhome Club as we don't usually have to weed our own pitch on site!
The forest walk accessed through a gate on the site is fantastic and saves having to drive off site to wear pooch out.
Nairn is about 11 miles away and has a wonderful sandy beach where dogs are allowed all year, and parking is free.
All in all a great site in a wonderful location, well worth a visit.

Just home from another great 3 night break at this site. Been here many times before and it never fails to please.
Must be the cleanest toilet block ever, the wardens do a cracking job.
There is a mobile chip van calls on a Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday between 4 and 6 pm. Fish and chips was very tasty.

A well laid out CAMC site with shower/toilet facilities that show other sites how it should be done, a lesson in cleanliness and smart, radio 2 gently wakes you up during the morning rituals.
Site wardens were helpful and location is handy for Inverness area.

We had a limited choice of pitches as it was busy over the weekend and the few left were flooding a little from all the rain, although they drained quite well.
As expected of a C&MC site, the facilities were outstanding and the wardens were helpful.
We didn't go to the nearby visitor centre, instead cycling out to Cawdor for a look around the conservation village. We then rode over to Nairn for a picnic overlooking the beach and a fine coffee in James' tea hut. The amount of playgrounds for kids there was amazing, though being pensioners, we thought it best not to they them out. A great place if you've got kids though!
The ride around to Fort George was really flat with only one hill in Balloch on the return to the site.

Stayed here twice in September, warm welcome from the wardens, immaculate toilets that were heated and able to choose own pitch. One way you look out over fields, the other is towards a busy road however we didn't hear the traffic at all. Would highly recommend.

As I would only expect from a Caravan and Motorhome campsite, this site was clean, tidy and well laid out.
The warden was friendly and helpful and the showers/toilet block were immaculately clean and warm.
We were able to pick our own pitch which were a good size.
The site is only a few miles from Culloden Moor and the town of Inverness itself.

Very nice site with good facilities and welcoming staff.
Like others I found the road layout odd and a bit annoying that you had to drive around the whole site to get out.
TV reception wasn't great.
The site is a bit out of the way. We walked to Culloden Moor which was about a mile and a half away. The nearest pub is a mile away and looks more like a transport cafe than a pub.
