We live right up North (the REAL North, not the middle of the UK) so in 2015 we were heading home from a site in Perth and stopped at Culloden for 2 nights. Well we enjoyed it so much we booked in for 9 nights this year.
The facilities for bairns is good but it's tucked right in the lowest corner out of the way (some will think that a good thing) so with bairns usually going to bed earlier and that area being right next to a road you can hear traffic passing in the evening. At bedtime for older folk the road becomes almost silent. We pitched right next to the playpark so there was always bairns for ours to play with, but at no point was it a noisy area.
Unfortunately they have recently altered their 1 way system. It used to be 2 x 1 way loops which meant only 50% traffic passing each loop/pitch, but now 100% of traffic must pass every single pitch so on rainy days when everyone is heading out it can get quite busy.
Inverness has become such a nice City to visit over the past years, so much to do in the surrounding area. Plenty to do for the whole family.
We will definitely visit to Culloden Moor Caravan Site another year and highly recommend it.

Stopped here for one night while travelling further north. Well laid out site though a bit strange how you have to drive round the whole site to get out. Small play area for kids. Access to forest for dog walking. Welcoming wardens and lovely clean facilities. We were lucky to be there when it was the night for the fish and chip van to visit - excellent but get in the queue early as they ran out of fish for later arrivals. Fish, chips, salad and coleslaw with lemon for £6 each - amazing value. There is road noise from the B road so choose your pitch carefully. Bus route outside if you want to leave your car/campervan on site which several people seemed to be making use of.

Very nice site, the cleanest toilets I have used of the caravan club and I have been to many, wardens are very pleasant and I would definitely return. Culloden battlefield close by and Inverness town centre about a 10 minute drive away.

Just stayed two nights.
A bit out of the town but a nice site nevertheless.
Good mainstream shopping in Inverness but not a pretty town.
Good site facilities but some pitches sloping so blocks needed.
Culloden Moor battle site not to be missed.

This is a lovely site with good facilities and layout. The helpful staff are very pleasant to deal with after a long journey and a joy to talk to.
Although it is not as convenient as some sites in Inverness town and there is no wifi (which would have been useful), in comparison we would sooner stay here than the alternative noisy site and travel in.

The toilet block and facilities were spotless. The wardens were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely use this site again if in the area. No complaints at all. Really liked the music playing in the toilet blocks.
Lots to do in the surrounding area. Fort George is well worth visiting as well as Culloden battle field and nearby Inverness
I can only repeat the message I left in the comments book on site---Lovely site, lovely facilities, lovely wardens Thankyou

Caravan Club sites are far too few and far between in Scotland, so it was good, after experiencing a range of commercial cites, to stop for a night and enjoy the high standard of facilities, pitch space and cleanliness the Club provides as a routine.
Many of the pitches are not level and the good terrestrial TV signal is hard to find - but is there, as are a few channels still on analogue! No Wi-Fi though. The site has an excellent dog walk and the Assistant Wardens we met could not have been more friendly and helpful. The pitches further from the passing main road are recommended.

Site is 5 miles outside Inverness on the elevated Culloden Moor with its notorious battle site. The site is set in the centre of the forest with the trees providing protection from the prevailing wind. The site has direct access into the woods, ideal for exercising dogs.
83 spacious well laid out pitches set around the central very modern toilet/utility block, being top of the tree in the high Caravan Club standards.
The site wardens are very friendly and are able to provide useful help and advice on the local area and its amenities. Surprisingly this busy and popular site has no Wi-Fi available, but free Wi-Fi is available at the HTS Culloden Moor visitors centre 2 miles from the site (well worth a visit).
A local bus runs hourly to Inverness with a stop just outside the site entrance. However the bus takes 45+ minutes to do the 5 miles trip while traversing the outlining areas on-route.
The delightful Cawdor Castle is 7 miles from the site, and is an easy and enjoyable bike ride along the relatively quiet B-road and country lanes.
A good site to use as a base whilst touring this area of Scotland.

As you would expect from a CC site, standards are great.
Toilet and shower blocks 5*.
Bus stop just outside the site, however its an hourly service and not on a sunday.
Couldn't believe how busy the site was with arrivals but just goes to show its a popular site.
Only negative thing I would say is that some of the EHU can be some distance from your pitch so you might want to consider this before you choice your pitch, other than this its a good site.
You are also likely to have to use your level blocks as some of the pitches are on a slope.
Would recommend

I stayed here for five nights, the pitches are fine and spacious, plenty of water points and the toilets were very very clean, the showers were terrific. Good dog walk you can enter from the site that goes for miles through a forest. The kids have an area they can play in, about a mile along the road there is a pub that serves up good grub. Next to this you have the famous battlefield which is really worth a visit. Inverness is ten minutes away for shopping and is a nice place to spend a day in. Black Isle, Loch Ness, Nairn, lots of places to visit near by. I, m glad I tried here and definitely will be back.
