Visited here during the whitsun holidays with my 4 kids. Never been here before but tried cos of reasonable prices. Arrived late but security showed us where to go without any complaints. There are 2 lovely toilet and shower blocks, clean and free to use. Clubhouse on site which we only used once and kids club there, indoor swimming pool 50p per session, it closes from 1 til 2pm so please note if you go in the morning no matter what time you have to pay to go in afternoon too. 1 play are near the club and another bigger play area the other side of park, also football field and fishing pond. All staff were friendly and helpful. Only downfall was no shop on site but only 5mins walk was shop and newsagents. We all had great time and already booked for summer holidays

Stayed here for a long weekend at the beginning of October and it is a lovely site,
It was a clean and well presented site with lovely clean toilets and showers, The club house was nice with good entertainment and bingo (pity I didn't win).
I will be returning to this site as some point to explore more of the area and hopefully see the dolphins next time.
I have clicked N/A for child friendliness as we have no children but there was a park, games room and swimming pool so should be good for kids.

What lovely place, nice people. The facilities are well worth the price we paid for our stay. The bar and games room kept all the kids amused. The park is a short drive to Newquay but out of the way enough to make it a quiet family place. Apparently there is fishing there, but we didn't use this, will next time though. The only downfall was that there wasn't a shop on site. Will definitely visit again

Very good. Clean tidy, we'll kept lawns, flowers, nice club house. Can't fault the place and would go back. But we love a bit of fishing and it was a total waste of time, nice lake but very very little fish in it! There's no charge to fish it. We heard from caravan owners on the site that a while ago otters had a big part of the carp out of there. We pre baited in the morning and fished tea time into evening, 2 of us one pole and one on rod, 1 bite only. Losses at net a carp about 5 lbs, that's all we had. 1 fisherman fished it all day with maggots and caught 1 eel only and he looked as if he knew what he was doing. So don't go there for the fishing. Its a real pity. There's a fishery up the road that we were told was very good and a fiver a day.

Just returned from a lovely weekend with our Grandson at Pencnwc. It was so nice we left the van there and are returning next weekend. The grandson was a bit disappointed because the caravan wasn't behind us on the way home !
Excellent facilities and very friendly staff. Pitches are well maintained and the grounds are immaculate. Lovely clubhouse with entertainment, 2 children's play areas, dog walking area and their own lake for fishermen. Well impressed. In fact we plan on returning often next year as the area has loads to offer. One very slight downer, its too far to walk into New Quay but saying that there's a nice pub that does food 200 yards away. But food and drink on the site is very good anyway.
One of the best sites we have visited.

We visited this site for 4 nights during august. It was a beautiful site, well maintained and managed. Shower and toilet facilities were good and clean. There are two bars on site, one of which provides entertainment, there's a kids club and an on site swimming pool, which is open two sessions a day for a small fee.
Unfortunately due to the time of year it was extremely noisy on the saturday night until the early hours of the morning. It really needs a strict no noise beyond 11pm policy, as it was very hard to sleep.
Also missing was a freezer for ice blocks for the campers, this facility is usually available on sites which allow tents and is really useful.
Overall it was a well presented site with great facilities, We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we returned to the area.

We have visited this campsite 4 times now over the last 3 seasons and will be returning again! It is very convenient for us as we have family in the area, but we wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Checking in was quick and easy. We were escorted to the field and there were always staff driving around checking up on things. It felt very safe. In a tent you have a choice of where to pitch which suits us really well.
The site is obviously quite large with many static caravans and touring pitches and is therefore not a quiet and tranquil site but if you're looking for a site with things to do you can't fault this one.
The toilet/shower blocks are brilliant, always being cleaned throughout the day. Hardly ever have had to wait for a shower and always plenty of hot water.
Dish washing facilities are adequate. This is one part of the site that could do with some improvements. Only two sinks for tents and tourers and the hot water tap has to be held in the whole time for it to run. But having said that, we managed.
The owners take pride and care in the park. Every time we have visited, money has been spent on different aspects of the site. Last year they had brand new changing rooms for the swimming pool, this year there has been a brand new park installed close to the clubhouse.
No EHU for tents, but socket points in the launderette - very handy for hair-dryers and straighteners.
Weekends always seem to be quite busy in comparison to quiet mid-week (even last week during half term)
No shop on site, but very well stocked local shop a couple of minutes walk away.

We have visited this site may time and consider it to be one of the best sites we have been to. The toilet block to always spotless (there is someone cleaning it all day), the BMW field that we stay on is always clean and well maintained. We have two children a 14year old and a 2year old both have ample to do here (kids club, swimming, park) etc. The club house is great with Bingo every night and great entertainment. On our last visit we had trouble with our electric feed, we reported this straight away and it was dealt with immediately, we were impressed with the service we received. We will be going back to Pencnwc very soon

Well what a lovely clean site, we were in the bmw field, very flat, and well thought out,
The club house was lovely and the entertainment was great, bingo games and a singer on the saturday,
The toilet block was out standing, so very new and clean the showers were brill,
Now the bad point, the toilet block was on a sensor to turn on the lights, then to turn them off again, but the lights would only come on for a few minutes, so you went to use the toilet then after a few moments the light went off, plus if you also used the shower, then the lights would also go off after a few moments, so you were left in the dark, also the mens was the same,
I went to the office to tell them and the receptionist said she would send some-one to fix it, which was never done, this spoilt our lovely break away.
If this was sorted asp then this camp site would be one of the best

Took our touring caravan two adults and two kids, age 3 and 6, stayed for 5 nights in the bmw field. We had a good pitch on the end, gravel for van to go on and grass next to pitches, and a park 100yrds from our van. There is another one by the clubhouse. Had no problems with noise at night, heard the odd person walking back from clubhouse but no problems. Was quite a walk to the club house and loos, but it hardly rained so was fine. The showers/loos are very modern and clean, had no problems getting a shower and always a loo available, and this was in the school holidays. Hot showers, room to change, think there was a small fee for hairdryer. Noticed a small area by showers with two sinks for campers to wash up in, floor was wet and slippy by here.
Staff were very friendly and I'm sure if we wanted to pick a certain pitch when booking they would let us as long as it was available. Club house could do with being a bit bigger on Dri and Sat nights unless you got there early you wouldn't get a seat. But then not as full in the week days. The bingo was really busy with good prizes. But they do complain about the kids talking or being noisy during this time, which being a family site people (serious bingo goers) did tutt quite a bit. Park right out side the club house with seating so if its a nice day you can sit outside while the kids play. They do sell hot food but its basic like burger and chips, and I think they do do a Sunday dinner, prices are reasonable.
Arcade is well equipped, the kids loved the 2p machine kept them quiet while the bingo was on. Pool is a basic pool but was warm and we had fun, good for learning to swim, was about 50p each. Kids club are really good if your kids are old enough to go of there own then they will have plenty to do. Breakfast with merlin was wed morning I think, the kids sat at long tables ate cocopops and juice and can have a photo taken with merlin which you can buy. Kids club on then every evening, lots of dancing, games, prizes. My children are too young to go off by them selves but we took them and they loved it, the staff are really friendly. They also have bands on certain nights, xfactor, disco, bar and seating area in that area but also a quieter one next door. Laundrette was busy, but I only used it once. I went in the evening while the kids were in kids club with there dad seemed a good time. Also a fishing pond we didn't use but is free.
No shop on site but walked to one down the road, but it seemed to close early. Newquay is lovely, nice beaches, you cant take dogs on one side of the beach so I read, but I did see them on there, so we were sorry we didn't take ours. Boat trips, dolphins, and on school holidays they have beach activities.
Back to the camp, dogs welcome. My children met lots of other children and was lovely to see them running about on the grass, coming and going. My daughter also learnt to ride her bike without stabilisers, so she was chuffed. Yes we would love to come back to Pencwnc but we no longer have the tourer and the static prices look expensive. But touring was very good value for money. Takes a day or so to settle in get to no the going ons etc, but yes would recommend this especially if you have children.
