Great site. So peaceful you can hear a pin drop. The photo gallery they have does not do the site justice, it is even better in the flesh. The wildlife just wanders around fascinating to watch. Dave the warden is a great host, nothing to much trouble for him. Lent me a coax cable as mine wasn't long enough, you have to take one if you want to watch your t. V. Two toilets, two showers and you use which is vacant. Nice touches, hut where you can brew up in and have a natter. We were with friends and used there car to get about, bit remote so you need a car our use your bikes.

What a jewel of a site. Small(around 20pitches- some seasonal)but so quiet, that you cant help but relax. Dont panic when you follow the instructions to the site and find yourself going down a very rough single track, you are on the right road. Follow the sign at the bottom of the track which says Turn right. It does mean you. It is worth the short drive, as you will find a lovely site. The pitches all have electric, water, waste, tv outlet, which is so convenient. The toilet and showers are kept clean, and the warden on site in his caravan is there to help. Julie the owner comes around to ensure you are happy with everything. Dogs are well catered for, with walks in the woods. You do need to drive for facilities (shops etc) so if you are motor-home with bike be prepared for hard work. Adult only site - excellent.

Very poor access to site, rough narrow track with plenty of potholes. However, once on the site it is lovely. Hardstanding serviced pitches well spaced. It has its own wildlife on site, very entertaining, especially if you have a few breadcrumbs to throw. 2 toilets and 2 showers, clean and tidy but not separated for ladies and gents. I have only downgraded it because of the access, would be a 10 if smooth.

We have just said farewell to this fantastic site after 5 years as a seasonal.
We have had the most wonderful time with the owners and little Abbey [the very friendly jack russell!]
I can't count the number of great bbq's, get togethers, royal celebrations, chats with weekend tourers, awning put ups! awning rows! drinks in the evening sun by the pond.
All lovely experiences.
We can highly recommend this site for a weekend stay, a weeks holiday, or a seasonal pitch. Whichever you choose you will get the warmest welcome and great company.
You won't be disappointed.

What a gem all hard standing.
Fully serviced pitches all set round a oblong fishing pool.
Showers and toilet block excellent.
We will be going back again, we would highly recommended this caravan site.
There are some lovely walks along the river of which we were told there is Trout in.
Emrald Hall is very near, which is a Stud Farm.
The road to the site is full of pot holes so care should be taken and just wide enough for one, so you hope no ones is coming the other way.
All in All a brilliant site, it's Adults only and there is shop is about 15 mins away.

One's opinion of a site can be affected by both the weather and one's neighbours. We had fine weather and lovely neighbours. The site is small and quiet. Caravans etc. Pitch around a rectangular large pond that is home to a family of ducks and some quite large fish. The resident Guinea fowl are quite friendly and entertaining. The pitches are fully serviced plus a TV hookup and free wifi. They are gravel with a grass lawn to each pitch. You pitch on the gravel and your awning goes here too. There is plenty of room. There are two lovely showers (minus the annoying push buttons) and two toilets, quite adequate as most of the pitches are taken up by seasonals. When you join the site road, it is tarmac with a savage 'sleeping policeman'. My advice to to slow to a crawl as the tarmac ends with a drop on to rough farm road complete with potholes etc. Don't let this put you off as the site and the owner (Julie) are both welcoming. There is a nice walk through the woods alongside Emral Brook. Bangor on Dee is a short car ride with lovely pubs etc. Our neighbours saw otters there. Supermarkets at Wrexham aren't much further away. Yes, we will go again.

We spent 7 night at the site, it is by far the best site we have ever stayed at. The site was very quiet being adult only, which made the stay very relaxing. The toilet block was very clean. The owners of the site were helpful throughout our stay. We felt that it was value for money and would recommend to anyone. The only downside was the access road, this was very uneven and would benefit from being resurfaced.

This is a lovely quiet site, off the main road, down an uneven bumpy track. The pitches were fully serviced, level & plenty of space between pitches.
The downside for this site is there are only 2 showers $ 2 toilets. The site was busy this weekend and people were having to queue for the showers. Some nice walks nearby, as previous reviews have stated the site has guinea fowl, peacocks, hens, ducks etc all roaming around the site. The owner was very welcoming I would stay here again.

Stayed for 4 nights at this little gem of a site.
Facilities were first class and the owners very helpful. All pitches were of good size and had electric, water, brown waste and a tv connection point (remember to bring a cable). Dog walking area and plenty of little walks in and around site. Lots to see in area, nearest shop in Bangor on Dee as is the racecourse and Wrexham isn't too far away.
Highly recommend this site.

Just had a wonderful weekend away at this site.
I found it through the campsite search and thought I'd surprise the wife with a weekend away. We were not disappointed.
We arrived at the site and went up to the house where we were informed where everything was and told to set up on any pitch we wanted as it was quiet.
The hard standing pitches are brilliant, level spacious and have full services.
The toilet block was still not quite finished being upgraded but it was only a shower room and some remedial work to do outside. The shower and two toilets that are finished are lovely and spacious, and well finished. The underfloor heating in the showers is a lovely touch.
The Lilly pond has a few fish in but it was a bit too cool for them, though we did see a couple as it's only shallow. We sat out and could hear buzzards, woodpeckers, horses and had the peacock waving its magnificent tail display.
All in all we had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning.
If you want a nice quiet relaxing break that is kid free I would highly recommend trying here.
