We Visited the site with a view to booking in, beautiful place, fishing is non existent the owner admitted you can normally see 9 carp but could only see 8. Seasonal pitches naturally have all the best pitches,
IMHO I keep away from sites with seasonal pitches,
Shame it is a lovely place with good facilities but would love to have the chance at pitching by the waters edge

Have stayed here many times and always enjoyed this lovely site, we visited our van today [in storage] and saw the work that's been going on over the winter.
New toilet and shower facilities!
New kitchen facilities in the 'hut', all looking excellent!
Looking forward to another great season on this lovely friendly quiet site.
Well done Emral for all the hard work you've been doing.
Good luck for 2013.

We have just stayed at this site having high hopes from the reviews, The pitches were of a great standard and cannot be faulted with a quiet relaxing atmosphere. However after this we were disappointed in the utilities, 2 toilets and a shower of poor standard is not what you expect from a site now, Not always the most clean and we felt that there was no attention to detail on the site itself.
Access to amenities was okay and the owner was friendly enough but it felt like take the money and run. We would not recommend this site unless people have a full understanding of what they will be going to,
A good site for peace and a good pitch is available. However poor quality for toilets and a shower which when it is busy would be very inadequate and questionable.

This site was recommended by a friend, we can only say ‘What a fantastic surprise’ it’s one of those sites we would never have found, relaxation with a capital R. The site is very rural and set within the owners 200 acre stud farm near to Bangor on Dee, the site and facilities are immaculately clean and don’t be put off to the limited numbers of toilets and showers, the owners Julie and Robert are really nice and take great pride in their site. You will find the wildlife just roaming the site and include Peacocks and Chicks, Guinea Fowl, Ducks, there are Horses in the fields and great walks (our dog loved it as much as we did). We stayed on a fully serviced hard standing pitch, but we would have been more than happy on the grass area. The ‘Hut’ is another ‘so different facility’ with a microwave, kettle, toaster, washing up facilities, TV, armchair etc. The renovated Lilly Pond is a great feature with a number of visitors sitting around fishing simply letting the world go by. Shop just a couple of miles away in Bangor on Dee and several pubs within 2 to 5 miles offering good food. Unique is the word we will use, fantastic is another, and of course Adults Only so no screaming kids. Highly recommended for peace and tranquillity.

Just back from visiting this site, 2 adults one dog and e/h, £17 per night. Allocated a pitch at the back of the site, our e/h did not reach so Julie borrowed one to us. We had no problems with the e/h tripping.
We exercised the dog in the rally field as it was empty so that was a bonus and the dog loved it. Two toilets and one shower was limited but never had to wait. Only hot water in one toilet, shower was nice and hot and the room was clean same with the toilets.
The rubbish bins are in one place only near the toilets. No pubs in walking distance, met some nice people. Its a bit far just for the weekend so not sure if we will go back, all in all a good weekend with fab weather which helps.

On arrival we thought we had entered the storage area by mistake. Caravans on almost every pitch. Nothing like their website Picture Gallery.
We rang the owner to let her know we had arrived and waited for her to come down from the house. My wife asked to be directed to the toilets where upon we were told not sure what state they might be in as I have not been down to clean them for a couple of days.
Although we had booked for 1 week on a luxury pitch some months in advance we could only be offered 1 pitch on the end of the pond or a new pitch her husband had just bug out a couple of days before which was in the back field so we took that pitch, at least we looked across fields and not into other peoples caravans.
Our pitch was a good size although no where to sit once we had the awning up you could sit on the field area opposite.
The gray waste plumbing had not been finished on this particular pitch so we had to go out and buy extra lengths of piping to reach the manhole some feet away from our caravan. The only thing that was luxury about these pitches was the TV satellite plug in connection which was nice.
We mentioned that we were very surprised to see the site so busy and full for that time of year the owner replied that the site was full with seasonal pitches which only left about 4 available pitches for travelling tourists like us.
The facilities on this site were adequate

Second time we have visited this site.
Loved it so much that we ended up leaving our van there!
Quite, peaceful, lots of lovely walks in the area.
Need a car to get to the shops, local pub in Bangor-on-Dee does a taxi run on Friday and Saturday night.
Toilet and shower block are adequate, water always warm, but the room itself is a bit on the cold side so you don't want to hang around.
Washing up facilities and microwave in the 'den'. Has previously been used as a comfort zone - but not at present as being used for storage I think?
Owners are helpful and friendly.
A delight having watched the resident ducks mature - can't wait to see how they have grown over the winter.
If you want tranquillity - then this site is for you.
If you want action and noise - then its not. Simple as that.

Really lovely site, adult only.Bliss. Enjoyed five nights here in August, even missed the Beatle weekend in Liverpool to come here, and so glad we did. Had a fab time, lovely walks, the weather was great.
Did a 2.5 mile walk from the site and a 5.5 mile circular walk from Overton, where we met Barry the Boar. Peaceful site,so clean and with lots of wildlife to keep you amused. Grass keep in good condition. We were met by Julie who was very friendly and told us of the log cabin on site which was full of information of the area, walks from the site and places to visit.
Toilets and shower spotless. A real chill out holiday. Prices of £11 per night with hook up, brill. Just missing a pub within walking distance. Would return to this hideaway site again.

The most peaceful of campsites, situated at the end of a rough track lane. We had a super pitch next to the fishing pond, and well worth the money at £15 per night. Chickens, ducks, rabbits and a peacock and peahen roam free. I caught the peahen in the awning eating the top of the bin liner! You couldn't fault the owner Julie - she was very friendly in a natural way. The only downside was just the one shower, and two toilets is not enough either.

Lovely site, pitch flat for tents. The owner welcomed us and made us feel at home. Beautiful walks. Shops only 2miles away.
Could do with another toilet and shower, the one was very clean and shower was lovely and hot. Very reasonable on price. Excellent for chilling out.
Very peaceful and quiet at night. Views of the horses in the fields were fab. Would return again this year
