Just returned from Tyn Rhos camp site in Trearddur Bay Holyhead, on arrival we met by the owner who was very friendly and approachable, and explained to us where we could pich or tent, and she also talked us through where all the facilities were. The weather was fantastic which meant we got the tent up in no time. The toilet block with sink room(washing up room) on the side of the block was spotless and had three washing up sinks, so no large queue. The shower block was also spotless good working order. The one site shop is well stocked, and breakfast baps are available. But just a short drive into Holyhead there are three large supermarkets. The beach and coves are a must in Trearddur and there are plenty of pub and restaurants close by to choose from. We decided on a barbecue Friday night as the weather was spectacular, my husband thought that he would put the radio on, I did advise him that we might have a flat battery in the morning. My husband didn't take my advice so low and behold when we where ready to head out to the beach surprise surprise flat battery. We whent to the on site shop where the owner was on duty and explained what had happened, she was fantastic she had her husband and the on site staff to us within five minutes with jump leads, and saved the day. We always enjoy our time in Tyn Rhos. And are looking forward to returning there in August. I would recommend this camp site to anyone it's great all roundr whether your with friends or as a family you wont be disappointed.

There's a saying in Anglesey, 'if it rains in Beaumaris go in the shops - if it rains in Treaddur you get wet' nothing here for the kids but what a fantastic main beach. No dogs allowed but plenty of small bays where dogs allowed. Choose your beech! You can walk from here to the beeches but too far for me. Took the car and once parked was able to get to some wonderful - almost deserted - beeches. The site - well it's great! Owners are really helpful and the site is big with many spaces. Pub with meals available on site! Great! Don't forget though, Anglesey can be a pain if windy so check weather forecast cos this site is on the top of a hill and can be a tad windy if the weather is not good. Facilities are good nothing to complain about here. Dated yes but clean and looked after. All said this is a great site just remember it's in Wales! Weather watch!

Nice site with on site pub that does basic meals, can't comment on toilets as we have our own.
Its a bit or a walk down to the beach and town. We stayed in the bottom field as part of a ccc rally £10 per night so c an't comment on the usual prices.
Easy to find at the end of the road will try and go again when the next rally is on

Stayed here as a friend recommended this site. Our unit was a tent, 2adults, 1child, we paid 32 pounds for two nights. Very good showers, were token operated, fantastic showers, toilets, very clean and always had paper. Pot washing facilities. The site shop is well stocked and not pricey. Does breakfast baps which we thought was fab. Beach was a 15min walk as our littlun thought we should travel in car every time. Site owners very polite and always wanting to help. We would definitely return to this site and would recommend to others.

Disappointed with this site. Toilets are on a code which is very good and the idea is right, unfortunately they are not clean. The shower block is locked at night till 8 am so if you like to be up and out this is not the place as this then leads to a backlog of people queuing for showers. I was not made to feel welcome it was also very hard to communicate with the owners. I tried to say hello when walking past and it was like I was not alive. I will not be back or recommending this site.

Just back from a short break at tyn rhos- which was recommended to me by my friend.
The view from the field was great- a panoramic view of snowdonia, very open so can get a tad windy-
The facilities, showers etc ok-
£14 a night for two adults-
Please watch the ramps one took a panel from underside of my merc!
Lovely beaches nearby and supermarket for the bbq 10 mins away-
Well worth a visit is south stack lighthouse- with its rspb tower- great views of puffins and if lucky a dolphin or two.

This is our 4th time here and still enjoy the site called in on speck and got on. It has very clean shower/toilets which you need a code to get in them good idea as kids don't play in them when the weather is bad.
It is still kept up to a good standard plenty of room for tents, can be a windy site, Has a small shop for hot/food, and bits and bobs you may need. The only thing it could do with is a little park for the kids to play.
There is a bar off site serves food and not to pricey, Close by is all the supermarkets you need. There was some work going on but not sure what it was.

Just back from a wonderful week made even better by the lovely couple who run this site.
The grass pitches are kept short and you don't walk the grass everywhere like some places. If you need electric hook up book as it is very popular
A well kept clean site with showers (token required from site shop), toilets, dish washing area and all with hot water. Basic site shop not over priced which also does a welcome breakfast bap in the mornings.
Just off site is the family club house open from 12 noon onwards with food at meal times. Also within easy walking distance of the many bays, beaches, local shops and bars. This tranquil place has not been spoilt and still retains its charm.
If you want the space to relax, enjoy open spaces and generally do your own thing this is the place for you

Just come back from Tyn Rhos, had a brilliant time. We were on the rally field but had full site facilities, being the showers, loos, shop/takeaways/ family clubhouse.
The owners are delightful people who were great with the kids. The location is brilliant, minutes walk from the stunning coves of Trearddur Bay and the site is kept in immaculate condition.
This is a great place to base yourself to explore Anglesey. We took a long drive around the beautiful headland, visited Prince William's workplace - RAF Valley and saw some amazing fighter jets, the list of places to visit is just enormous!
You can't go wrong with this site, it's just great for families.

We have stayed here 5 times this year from April through to September. This is our fave place to camp. The site is quite basic but it is very clean. There is a small shower block, wc block (also some free-standing wc's), there is a shop on site that also does takeaway food (ie bacon barms) and there is a clubhouse very close-by that has Sky for all the big games plus in high season they have karaoke too! They also do a limited range of meals for when you are fed up of your own campsite cooking and it's very nice!
The site owners are very hardworking and never seem to be still for 2 minutes. They are helpful and friendly and it's nice that they recognise their returning guests.
Although this can be a very breezy place, the views from the top of Ravenspoint Road are amazing. The beaches on Anglesey are stunning and you will not be disappointed with your location here at Tyn Rhos.
We can't wait to be back in April next year and with a new tent!
