This time we visited with a caravan. The owner's Alison and Dave are so helpful and friendly. The site is clean grass cutting/strimming going on most days.
They have a little site shop where you can buy your basic foods. There is also a club house on the edge of the site. The site is on the top so walking can be a big up hill walk from the bay.
This site has a few fields that is used for tents/non hook for vans. There is no park for the kids to play. But plenty of room for them to run around or fly kites.
We will be going back as we like the area. There is a morrisons asda and tesco close by.

We've visited this site regularly over the past six years and have always loved the friendly laid back nature of the site and owners(who always seem to remember you no matter how long it's been)
It's lovely and clean. Also having added the locking system on the toilet block to stop some of the more unruly kids messing them up,it seemed to help keep it that way(you soon memorize the code-even after a wee tipple).
Showers are 40p but are really good, always hot and you rarely have to wait too long due to the token system. Shop sells most essentials including camping spares should you forget anything. Also do awesome breakfast batch.
As other reviewers have mentioned it can be windy but Anglesey IS a windy place.
There's plenty of lovely little bays close by as well as the large beach.Dogs are made most welcome (obviously looked after properly and picked up after).
Clubhouse close by is lovely and relaxed, when we first went the late great Bert ran it and his son is now doing a great job. Decent food and drink at decent prices(not at all over inflated as many are). Also many other decent pubs with grub close by.
Good fishing/crabbing. Will still keep us returning again and again they'll never be rid of us.

We visited this site over the May Bank holiday, it was busy but still a friendly site. The people running the site try to ensure the 6 mtr distance between units.
The club that is on site is good with well priced food and beer.
The shale beach is close by and a sandy beach a bit further.
My only issue is the disabled access in the shower blocks, shower TOKENS are very difficult for the visually impaired and getting a wheel chair in the showers would be very difficult if not impossible, the disabled toilet room perhaps should have included a shower too?
We didn't use the electric hookup as they were fully booked.
We hope to return when the site is less packed.

We love this site the owners are very nice, the site itself is massive. The shower block is excellent, you have to pay though with tokens you purchase in the site shop. Its worth it though its hot and each token lasts 5 minutes. There is a descent size pub, it sort of services this campsite and a couple of neighbouring caravan sites. There's always a good atmosphere in there. Kids and dogs are fine in there, it may seem a little pricey though you are on your hols.
There are a couple of down points. One is the lack of play area for young kids i.E swings slides roundabout etc, there used to be but its gone now I think they got rid of it because it was a hanging round point for the kids on site. Also it always seems to be windy on this site, not good for pitching and if your tent isnt very sturdy but hey its not really a moan. The owners cant help the weather or proximity of site. All in all its excellent, we love it here and always come back

Visited Trearddur Bay for the first time over the Bank Holiday weekend.
First impressions even though it was packed out it's a clean and tidy site, the toilets are always clean and toilet paper is there most of the time, showers very clean and hot water all the time.
Upon arrival you book in at the shop and the owners tell you to find a pitch and come back to the shop to pay which is far better than some sites which charge you before you know if you've got a pitch.
Plenty of electric hook-ups but would advise to check first and pre-book if need be before turning up expecting to get a power point.
Shopping locally there is a Spar shop in the village but just up the road about a mile and a half on the out-skirts of Holyhead you have a business park with Tesco with petrol station, Argos, Homebase, Morrisons, Wilkinsons to name a few,
Noise levels on the camp-site are kept to a minimum by the site owners but do expect a few night time reveller coming back from the camp club house but it soon dies down also expect to hear jets coming and going from Valley RAF site just down the road but what few I heard at night didn't disturb my sleep in the awning.
Beach wise about 20-25 minutes down the road which are very clean and tidy if your disabled there are plenty of road side parking spaces but also car parks as well.
If you have children this site is a must and they can play without fear of vehicles zooming about the speed limit is about 10mph or less.
My only gripe with the site is to many charges instead of having a set of basic prices per pitch like set amount for a tent, caravan, motor-home and trailer tent and one additional charge for hook up providing you manage to get one but other than that it's an excellent site.
Out of all the camp-sites I've visited I do expect to re-visit this site as it ticks nearly all of the boxes for a good holiday.

Has improved facilities since our last visit in 2005. Owners very helpful and friendly. Site shop is well stocked and not overpriced. Very clean and modern toilets and showers. Toilet roll there 95% of the time but no soap in toilets but this was not a great problem.
We were very happy with the site which was quiet and family orientated. Cars are stopped from driving on to the campsite after 11pm which helps you feel more secure and safe but you can leave your car in a parking area just outside the camp if you have planned a late night out.
We would come back to this site as we thought it was very good value for money. It has everything you need from a campsite and more.

We had never planned to come to this area. We were travelling around the Island and had a plan on where to stay. When we turned up at the proposed site and location we decided against it. We then decided to come to this location and picked this site out of the Camping and Caravanning Club book. We were so pleased we chose this site.
The wardens are very friendly, the views are lovely and the location was perfect. There are some very nice sandy beaches close by and the coastal path to the south is very scenic.
I used the washing facilities and their prices were much cheaper than I saw elsewhere. The actual pitch price was good value as well.
The on site shop does offer sausage and bacon baps for breakfast, which were very nice.

Personally, I love this site, the owners are very friendly and helpful, the toilets and showers although limited are always clean and the site is in a good condition.
This site is probably for people who just want a basic campsite so they can relax and explore.
There are no playgrounds for kids, but a day on the beach is enough and you can always make your own fun!
The showers need tokens, so get a few when you book as the shop does close in the afternoon when off peak times. There are only 3 each, but I've never queued for long when we have stayed, if at all.
If you need supplies, it is worth getting in your car and going to Holyhead. It only takes 5 mins to get there and there are a range of superstores catering for everything.
This campsite is relaxed about rules and regulations, so you can camp where ever you want, so you can find yourself a good little niche away from whoever. It can get windy on the site but there are plenty of sheltered areas.
There is a pub just offsite which shows the football and serves basic pub grub, if you need shelter or a change.
You are not far from the coves of Trearddur, for fishing, sailing, swimming or playing! Further down there is a fab pub called The Seacrest, perfect for a cooling pint! Just don't forget the walk back to the campsite!.It's uphill.
It is cheap to stay, we paid £25 for 2 nights with a dog.
If you want an allocated slot, kids entertainment, and nightlife, this isn't for you.
If you want to relax and enjoy the views and relax, this is perfect for you.
Bear in mind too, during the week RAF Valley fly their jets around quite a bit, this wasn't a problem for us, as we were fascinated as was our son.

We arrived on the friday of the august bank holiday, the top end by club and shop as very populated, further down the field was ok, we had to pitch on a bit of a hill, kept rolling off my bed but kids thought it was funny, we took our 7 & 3 year olds, lots of space to fly kyte, play football, frisby etc. Gate locked at 11pm till 7.30 am, good little shop but had no need to use, club looked ok but didn't use as we had our own alcohol, toilet block was small, but clean. Wash room for dishes was basic but usable, we were there for bank holiday and never had to queue once for any facilities. It is advisable to take your own loo roll just in case theirs has run out. Portloos should have been placed in the bottom field, as it is a bit of walk to the loos. Kids were disappointed there was no play area. Gorgeous scenery, lovely sandy coves and a lovely large sandy beach, all in walking distance. This site does get extremely windy, there are some sheltered spots if you are lucky enough to get there early. All in all a great site and I would deffinately return, already planning my next visit for mid september before winter sets in.

We decided to stay at this campsite as its very local to the brilliant beaches and cliffs at Traedour Bay. At the beach there is also a handy SPAR for supplies for your camping trip as we found the campsite shop overpriced but useful for emergencies like milk and bread. We arrived via Train from Chester to Holyhead and then got a Taxi to the campsite which costs about £8.
Once we pitched our tents, it was time to check out the limited facilities. The toilets often had zero toilet roll so best bring your own. The showers where very busy as there was only three for a large camping site and you had to use a 30p token for about a 5 minute cool rinse.
There is also a pub on site which was quite expensive - about £2.80 for a pint which got busy with families including their dogs.
I would probably go again if they expanded the toilet and shower facilities as at peak times it was not sufficient for the demand.
