A lovely, well-maintained, quiet site in a rural location on a working farm. Everything was spotless, including the toilets and showers, which were hot and powerful, with lots of room.
We cannot think of any negatives for this site, which was also great value for money.

This is one of the best sites we have stayed at, we travel her from Newcastle on a regular basis.
The site is immaculate re cleanliness and surroundings, lots of well maintained plants an shrubbery. Loads of space around the pitches and fabulous self contained showers.
A pot washing area is also available. Great owner who stands no nonsense, Don't bother coming if your after noise or parties.

The site has all the amenities needed and was very clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and helpful. It is a very quite site with ample room on each pitch.
The main town is only a 5 min drive away with all the sights.
The only slight downside is that it is quite tight on the single track in and out to the sight, I sent the wife ahead to make sure it was clear.

We stayed for one night on our way back home. The site is very clean with excellent facilities and remarkably cheap, it was £16 for a pitch with electric.
The toilets and showers were very clean and the showers (unisex, with large separate cubicles)were also larger than usual which makes having a shower pleasanter.
The site is a short drive or a lovely 30 minute walk through fields, woods and along the river to the town centre.
The location is only marked down from 10 as a shorter walk to the town centre would be good. Customer service was N/A for us.

We arrived to a warm welcome and beautiful pitch with lovely planting and grassy areas, we were sad to leave. It was private and relaxing.
There are good walks from the farm.
Showers and toilets were clean and tidy.
It is a lovely area to visit.

Lovely site. The lady owner was very friendly and helpful. It is a working farm but the site beautifully clean and cared for. Brilliant showers.
Very reasonable and good value for money. We will definitely be going back. A peaceful site in the countryside.

Great hideaway site, with good owner who is unobtrusive but friendly.
Lovely farming surroundings, with sheep in fields all around.
Lovely showers and toilet block.
Lots of lovely circular walks shown on photo copy map. And walking distance to town. A fair walk though.
Bowes museum near Barnard castle and a must see place.
Will come again to this very tidy peaceful site as soon as possible.

Just spent a long weekend here. If you like quiet sites and countryside, lovely. Showers & toilets best I have ever been in on a camp site, fabulous, clean and spacious.
Utility area very good. Grass and hard standing pitches, grass ones have plenty of room for awnings. Don't know what kids look for these days, plenty of room for them to play though. Long narrow lane from main road, but pretty good visibility and couple of passing places.
I will be going back. Could not fault it. Extra charges for awnings and dogs, but still excellent value.

Came here on way home from outer Hebrides for a break in driving. Tried for Caravan Club site (as members) but it was full so booked here based on other reviews.
Really nice site, based on working farm but surprisingly quiet. Handy for Barnard Castle, Bowes museum and surrounding area. Well off main road down single track but easily negotiated. Plenty of space between pitches, grass really nice.
Toilet block clean and some of the best showers ever- good, hot and strong.
Overall a quiet, cosy, pleasant site, well worth considering if wanting to tour this area.

Lovely site on a farm in a very quiet location. Toilet and shower block very clean, good showers with plenty of hot water.
A 30/40 minute walk into Barnard Castle which has lots of shops and pubs. Owner was nice and helpful we will be back again soon.
