We loved the simple attitude and unfussy booking process.
A quick phone call and it was arranged.
The lady met us on arrival and we had a choice of where to pitch and amenities were explained.
The facilities were all perfectly adequate but don't expect Palacious amenity blocks with heated everything.
The views from the campsite were lovely and there were plenty of moderate walks for us and our little dog.
There was also WiFi
The only downside for us was that it was not possible to walk into the nearby village of Llangurig with its 2 little pubs, cafe and shop. The road after the lane is dangerously narrow without pedestrian walkways or refuges!
There is a cross-county footpath over the moors but it is quite rugged and hilly.
If we are in this vicinity again we would return and recommend it to others for a rural stop.

Lovely quiet site, good size, and very peaceful,
However there are midges at times,
The owner was very helpful, even supplying me with lube for my bike chain,
Great views in all directions.

First time in camping in 3 years in our trusty Outwell Montana 6P (2012) that's still going strong.
Stayed at Over The Farmers Gate for two nights over a Friday-Sunday weekend.
Lovely site and location. no shop or pubs or much nearby but that's how we wanted it as it was a base to explore.
The nearest town was about 10 miles away.
Overall lovely site the only annoyance was that there seemed stones everywhere so quite a lot of bent tent pegs!

Loved it! Natural spring water really does taste lovely and so cold (UV pumped out of the ground).
The animal noises were relaxing (sheep, cows and chickens). I spent hours sitting watching the red kites above in the sunshine.
The teenagers enjoyed the time to relax, read, play a few card games. Basic but adequate toilet facilities.
Sue was so helpful, friendly and laid back.
Perfect location for relaxing but accessible to places of interest and shops

A Great Getaway from it all for those who want to see the stars at night and get back to a natural way of living. The site is Peaceful, quiet, surrounded by beautiful countryside, woodland and hills a place to explore or just relax at your leisure. Great area for walking or cycling away from busy main road.
It is a back to nature site, it has a toilet and shower situated next to the house (shower takes one pound coins to work it) it's nice and hot shower. There is a toilet block at bottom end of the site, two toilets with hand basins cold water only and an adjoining outdoor sink for dish washing.
Has a toilet waste disposal. There are bins for recycling plastic, card and glass.
Local post office, shop, pub and restaurant in the near by village one mile down the road.
There is a bus service at the end of the road for those days you want to leave your vehicle behind and visit the surrounding areas without worrying about parking.

Basic amenities but a very relaxed site in a quiet location.
Easily accessible just off the A44.
Would benefit from a Toilet/shower block upgrade but bearing in mind the low pitch fees it's good value for money.
Would stay here again.

Beautiful, quiet, countryside location with rolling hills all around.
Sue the owner is very friendly and helpful even when she is busy maintaining the site.
Facilities are clean and functional. Pitches are level and well spaced.
Lovely location for exploring the area between Aberystwyth and Rhayader. We hope to return.

A proper back to basic site brings back happy camping memories.
The site has everything you need, clean facilities, beautiful views and surrounded by nature.
Sue is so very lovely nothing is too much trouble and is the most wonderful lady who always makes you feel so very welcome no matter how busy she is.
Fabulous.
