If you want a quiet, no frills, back to nature campsite, this is the one for you.
So much to do nearby - fabulous walks and cycling.

Lovely friendly welcome. Great to see all the farm animals.
Myself and my dog enjoyed the quietness of the site. Plenty of space around each pitch.
Easy access to road and to llanidloes. Llanidloes is a pretty town which is very friendly and great coffee. I was working in Llanidloes and decided to have a stay over.
Would definitely go back.

The first thing to praise is Sue's personal welcome, even before we had met her. Over the course of three emails to arrange our trip, she had made us feel that we knew her, and wished us safe travel to Glangwy. We felt she wanted to know us as her guests, to give us freedom and comfort around her home farm. And she suggested a lovely short walk for a first evening.
We couldn't use the Shower because of COVID regulations, but the toilets were clean, comfortable, worked as they should, and well maintained. Perhaps a little hot water for hand-washing would have made them luxurious - but that's not a complaint.
It's a peaceful and beautiful site in a lovely area for walking, and has all you need: the only reason I didn't give it 10/10 was because I never do! I would recommend it - and Sue - to anyone looking for a quiet place with no frills but all you need. It's very reasonably priced indeed. We'll probably be back, and wouldn't bother looking anywhere else in that area.
Richard and Jo
PS It's difficult for us to rate it for child friendliness, since so much depends on the children. There are no particularly child oriented features but there's lots of space to play in, and with the right parents I would have loved it as a child!

Absolutely loved this site. Booked for 2 nights but stayed for 3.
Due to COVID, toilet and shower closed, so can’t comment.

So much to do nearby - fabulous walks and cycling.
Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Probably the most peaceful and relaxing campsite we've stayed on.
We enjoyed watching the new born lambs running around the fields. The nearby River Wye was crystal clear.
There were Red Kites gliding overhead.

Hidden gem, so love this place, simple, peacefully, quiet and tranquil.
Definitely be coming back.
The owner was a hard working lady and the river was close to walk to. Lovely spot to relax.

What a delightful site. Very helpful owner Sue and Warden Ian. Spotlessly clean Toilets and for a change a shower room you can actually move around and change in.
I read the word basic amenities, if not having under floor heating or piped music is basic, OK it's basic.
Great dog walks, very dog friendly. Chill out watching the kytes and buzzards during the day, and watching the marvellous show of shooting stars an astronomical dream whilst listening to the screeching, hooting and other noises of the owls.
We will certainly use again, and the added bonus of a 12 month site.

Basic, but clean and everything required for a quiet few days.
It is very peaceful, with just some noise from the distant main road.
Apart from local walking, you will need car and/or bikes to get to any interesting places (the local area is very scenic though).

Great host, Sally was really kind and helpful and even let me fish her stretch of the upper Wye.
Situated really well for a stopover if your going up to snowdonia.
Just a relaxed easygoing kind of campsite without too many frills.
