Mixed feelings about this site. Owners friendly and helpful but facilities limited in number and really too basic for the 21st century and as compared to many other sites and price charged. Facilities not really sufficient for people there, over busy periods it seemed as many people as possible are crammed in. The brochure is rather better than the reality, the scenic views are only there from some areas. The hard standing area is very tatty with lots of residents who seem to work locally and have the additional stuff around to make their lives better but which impacts badly on the look of the site. Good access to beach and 4 buses daily to Falmouth, no shops or pubs in easy walking distance but café on beach, quiet at night. Not somewhere we'd go back to.

Would agree with some of the previous reviews - so clearly site has not been improved in the last two years though toilets and showers were reasonable. Parked on a hardstanding next to a 'permanent' 5th wheeler with various other caravans there for the long stay and/or in storage - this area was very unattractive and generally untidy. Could have moved to a grassy area but afraid of getting the van bogged in and really not prepared to pay £23. 00 per night (cash!) especially as we do not need to be hooked up so glad we were not booked and just stayed the one night and moved to the perfection of Merrose Farm Caravan Club site north of Falmouth at £17. 50 per night.

We stayed at Pennance Mill farm for the third time, there's a pitch for everyone, vws, tents, caravans, on a well looked after site. The owners go out of there way to make sure you are in your right spot.
Loos and showers are regularly cleaned and are sufficient for the site. Family orientated, lots of good fun for the kids, eg, tractor rides, no bingo hall. But in the summer there's entertainment, dancing and film nights, just join in.
Walk through the wild wild wood to maenporth beach, peaceful with good icecreams and a bar on the other side.
Falmouth is busy with cafes, bars, galleries and museums, an interesting town.

We had difficulty finding this site and couldn’t see any of the brown tourist signs showing the location of the site which were indicated on their website.
The toilet/shower block is modern and bright, with good dishwashing facilities. The showers are push button and are nice a hot with good pressure. My husband however, felt that the toilets were very stretched first thing in the morning (this wasn’t an issue with the ladies loos). There were some people living at the site and going to work early, and also a group of students were staying so this probably contributed to this situation with the men’s loos whilst we were there – as overall the site wasn’t busy at all. There were extra toilets but they were shut in the early season.
There are no shops nearby or an on site shop so you need to stock up before arrival. Also, they don’t take card payments, which is surprising considering the size of the site.
There is a private path (owned by the site) leading the beach at Maenporth – with security coded gates en-route. This is a much safer route to the coast than the road which is surprisingly busy.
There is also a bus stop near the site entrance – make sure you read the timetable thoroughly as we misread it and there wasn’t a bus back!
We did think this site was quite expensive for the time of year - £23 per night including electric, this was the most expensive site we stayed at on our holiday – we stayed here 3 nights.

On the plus side for this campsite, the staff were friendly and fairly helpful and it’s a peaceful site with a reasonable play area for the kids near the entrance. The toilet block was never too busy, but the campsite was fairly quiet so I imagine there could be a problem peak periods. The private walk to the beach is, as other reviewers have mentioned, very pleasant.
However, we stayed here for 5 days in fairly wet and windy weather, and as a result saw the downside of the toilet block and dishwash area – there is simply not enough paved area around the facilities nor a paved path leading to it which meant that everyone’s feet got muddy and then the wash rooms got muddy because there was no doormat. To be fair, the water in the toilets and dishwash was always hot.
In terms of the site itself, a large part of it is significantly sloped, they do not have any kind of shop on site and I think it was too expensive for what it offered. They do have a laundrette (which I didn't use so can't comment on) and electric hook-ups.
Falmouth is a nice town, with plenty to do nearby but although there is a bus from the campsite the service isn’t very frequent so we ended up driving everywhere. So I would conclude that the campsite isn’t close enough to the town to be convenient.
It’s unlikely that I will stay at this campsite again.

This is the second time I have stayed here. This time at the beginning of the season. The reason I camped here a second time is because this is well maintained site, with a variety of pitch types.
The owners are very obliging and friendly. They opened and prepared parts of the campsite that weren't due to be used just yet.
Very clean, hot showers. A beautiful spot too, a lovely walk down to the near by beach.
This is a place that you can really relax and kick back with your friends for a chilled out weekend. Pick of the pitches, no hard and fast rules or White lines to camp between.
We were treated like valued customers. Will be back soon

We have returned to this site several times between Easter and the October half term since first visiting in 2009. We like the site because it is very close to 2 safe beaches and Falmouth. Additionally, it is in easy reach of all the west Cornwall beaches and attractions. The site ideally suits our 6 year old who looks forward to the tractor rides and family entertainment laid on by the owner's family. There is a bus stop outside the site allowing access to Falmouth and Helston passage. There is a superb fish and chip shop in Penryn (3 miles)and a 24hr Asda (4 miles) There is also a park and ride or park and float allowing access to Truro Falmouth and St. Mawes (3 miles). There are railway stations at Penryn and Falmouth on the branch line which links to the Penzance mainline. This has been used successfully by my wife when we have been forced to travel separately. This is a well rub site by a caring family who own it.

We visited this site off season at the start of October. We declined to use the hard standing area as it felt cramped and seemed to have 'semi permanent residents'
The camping fields were empty and we had our pick of the pitches. Very tidy site and quiet.
However the toilet block needed a good clean and bins emptying. The shower control had to be held on almost constantly which makes washing one handed difficult. Has washing up facilities with hot water.
Very convenient for both Falmouth and the coast path. The owners had a private path to Maenporth beach which was lovely.
We only stayed one night preferring to transfer to another site in the area as we felt, for the time of year, it was very over priced.

Stayed here for 3 nights in our campervan with our 2 dogs.
Nice site, not very full. Was able to pick our own pitch - which is always nice. Opted for hard standing. With EHU, tv connection, and water.
Close to the shower blocks. Good washing up area. Showers were push button type. Lovely and hot!
The owners are very friendly. And overall the facilities are very good.
Walked to Falmouth 1st day via road to swanpool beach. Caution - this route is the quickest but the road is dangerous, esp with 2 dogs.
Took about 1 hr.
2nd day walked longer to maenporth only 15mins but on to the coastal path took 2 hrs to Falmouth.
There is a bus from outside the campsite, but the times are irregular.
We opted to get a taxi back to the site rather than walk in the dark, which was £6 from the centre and they allowed the dogs as well.
Falmouth is a great place - lots to see and do.
Very dog friendly - every pub allowed us to bring our dogs inside. And we visited plenty, as OH completes his good beer guide book!
The third day was very bad rain. So drove to Helford passage, visited The Ferry Boat inn. Only mentioning because they serve very very good food. More restaurant style and they allowed dogs. There must of been about 10 dogs inside.

My Partner and I stayed at this beautiful campsite for what was supposed to be two nights, but ended up been four!
The site is well manicured, well maintained with mainly level pitches. The shower and toilet blocks are well presented, clean and very spacious. There are washing up facilities and plenty of recycling bins.
A bus service into the centre of Falmouth runs from outside the main entrance to the site, and there is a fantastic wooded walk that leads to the cove at Maenporth.
A must for anybody planning to camp in the area.
