Very nice owners & clean site. Need to book as many clients pre book before leaving ! good walking offsite & square & compass pub
2miles away. Fantastic views from upper tent pitches. Small spar shop
At nearby garage on main road. Not good for cycling ! roads too hilly & inconsiderate motorists all driving too fast.

A very warn welcome from the owner when we arrived by Martin, the caravan needed levelling so Martin came back with wooden blocks & helped level it, Someone from another caravan came & helped put our awning up then pegged it down we were most surprised, it was very much appreciated as I struggle kneeling down as I've had a hip replacement,
One evening we were invited to join a group of people having a get together which was really lovely to meet other campers The weather was very hot the second week,
We have booked for next year as Downshy is a lovely friendly site the owners are very helpful & most friendly,
Thank you we can't wait for next year,

Lovely site, friendly, helpful owners.
Beautifully terraced to take advantage of breathtaking views over Purbeck from the sea to Corfe castle.
Huge dog walk. Clean facilities. Just bliss.

Having stayed at downshay farm for the first time, we found the owners and their family very friendly,
During these times of covid 19 everything was put into place including hand sanitizer everywhere, and everyone was adhering to site rules pitching up 6 metres apart and following all the rules,
The views from the field we were in where absolutely stunning seeing the occasional puff of steam from the local steam railway at harman cross and the fabulous sunsets around corfe castle in the early evenings,
Sitting outside of tent till about 11:00pm most night watching the occasional bat fly past us and the owl hooting in the distance
We would fully recommend this camp site to anyone who is looking for a great family time away

We have been staying on this site for over 10 years and have never had a bad experience. Their Covid preparations were excellent - hand sanitiser stations everywhere!
The booking system worked very well, it felt very reassuring to know that numbers had been restricted.
The view of Corfe castle and the steam engines puffing along the track is idyllic. The sunsets are beautiful.
The location is fantastic but you do need a car.
Sadly there is no local pub within a short walking distance.

Our third visit to this wonderful site and as before, Martin and Justine found to be very friendly and helpful. We do not use the toilet/shower block so unable to comment. We did notice that outsiders crept down the lane to use them.
This is a working farm site and for us it is quite entertaining, especially this time of year with the haymaking.
Spa shop/garage and station within easy reach. For those who like walking, this is an ideal location.
Hopefully will be back in October.

We stayed at this campsite in a motorhome, after the summer tent season had finished. The site has 12 places for motorhomes, level pitches and electric hook up.
If you have a pitch on the top terrace the views are lovely, you can see Corfe castle. We found it very peaceful, enjoyed listening to the passing steam trains, which you can use to travel to Swanage or Corfe.
The showers and toilets were spotlessly clean, 2 showers and 3 toilets. Had to queue one morning for the shower. No charge for the showers.

Nice site pitches have a good view for the most part of corfe castle. Limited shower and toilet block but clean and adequate for the 12 pitches and quiet.
But beware bank holiday at the end of may and summer as they also have a massive camping field behind and site turned very noisy and although they have there own facilities the campers use caravan ones to so you can't get in.
Outside those times it's lovely well maintained with level pitches on various levels. The owners accommodating. The access road is single track and there are other sites on this road which may need some reversing skills !.
Definitely go back out of season.
Nice walk into corfe and to coast all from the site.
