Lovely, peaceful.
Tremendous views.
Great location.
Bliss for a few days.
Owners were very pleasant on arrival - not much interaction after that - which is good.
Will go again.
Stayed at the top of the hill in the camper.
Lovely.
Toilets and showers clean.

Lovely relaxed campsite with good facilities.
The stand out feature of this site is the view of Corfe castle that you will never tire of looking at.
The drawback is that all the pitches are on a slope.
But overall a great site in a fantastic location.

We love Downshay Farm.
We were there again this year and had lovely weather again.
We walked to Chapmans Pool, Dancing Ledge, Corfe, and Swanage. We drank beer at the Square and Compass. We swam in the sea.
The only down side of Downshay is the slope of the fields (the clue is in the name) but we always manage to find a flatish spot.
It never gets overcrowded, you can always get a shower, toilet or washing up spot. It's not even noisy, apart from the owls. Dogs are on leads, there's no electric hook ups, and you have to walk a bit to get water (these are all good things.

It was our first visit with friends, beautiful views,
Great open spaces for the kids ages 7-13 and some rope swings and nice to have freedom to roam.
Great facilities which were kept clean and lovely service from those running it.
We would definitely go back

Lovely spacious campsite with clean facilities and a beautiful view of Corfe castle.
We watched the sun set over the castle in the evenings, and had a great view othe stars at night.
Lots of places to visit in the area.
There is a mobile shop every morning and a Spar convenience store selling groceries at the nearby garage (walking distance).

Loved everything about it! Lots of space between groups, very clean toilets, showers and washing up sinks.
Topped off by an amazing view down the valley towards Corfe castle!
Freezers and phone charging points a real bonus.
Quiet site too, with no noise from roads etc.
Great location - 5 mins from Swanage and Worth Matravers, for shops, beaches and scenic walks!
Will definitely be back.

The site was quiet, spacious and well maintained with a stunning view of the Purbeck ridge and Corfe castle.
Great location for walking to the coast and the hills.

A truly lovely small site.
Facilities are basic and very clean and pleasing - 2 showers, 3 loos for Caravan/Camper field. There are separate facs for the tent field, which wasn't open in October.
Note - only organic chemical for loo disposal.
All grass pitches. Wooden levelling blocks available round the site in case they're needed.
The views are stunning.
It's wonderfully quiet - owls were busy at night, but little else, other than one night when the military were evidently exercising, but that all stopped by around 10. 00. Not quite a dark sky place, but many more stars on view than round our home town.
As others have said, fellow campers were very friendly - interesting how a site can attract people of like sort, as it'll always be a different population, week by week!
Martin & Justine were helpfulness itself when we had some unexpected calendar problems, and gave a friendly and useful welcome on arrival.
A good site for walkers - buses (Breezer no 40), or trains are easily reached, running between Swanage / Corfe, and walks straight from the site too.
It's well worth noting the advice to tow up from Harman's Cross at the bottom, not down from the Matravers road at the top, it's a narrow road with few passing places either way, but perfectly workable from the bottom.
We intend to return.

Great site - open and varied with lots of choices of pitches -
Facilities basic but enough -
Teenagers and younger children alike enjoyed the open spaces, charging facilities and views -
Great for larger families
